      @samwilliams4244 Weghorst or Gakpo could still take them. He's in the top 3 for PK takers for them. I just don't like his fixtures or Netherlands chances of clean sheets in isolation top. He's a fine differential if he is on pens of course!
      Cancelo the bigger risk of rotation vs. Theo Hernandez.
      My team is a mix of what's in the video but will change before deadline, I'm sure.

    Great content, mate! I have a question, please. What is a good strategy in this format if you're planning not to use a chip in MD2: book in 2 transfers for MD2 or start with a good team for MD1&2 and only make transfers if needed?

    • @speardrops
      @speardrops  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Cheers! Well you effectively have two weeks to plan your current WC (pre game) for. Then another wildcard at round 3 in the game. So if that's your plan pick players with two great fixtures to start. You can also target single starting fixtures and look to use your 2FTs for round two.

    Hi! Thanks for useful information. What are your thoughts on Trossard (8), Barrella (7), Calhanoglu, Rodri (both 6.5) and Arda (6) as midfield options? Also, I think Castagne (5) will be a starter playing in an advanced role on the right flank as a defender; what about him? Finally, if I was to target only MD1, would you recommend Bardakci, Ozkacar and Akaydin (4-4.5) against the worst team participating in the tournament? It might feel like a home game for them in Dortmund.

    • @speardrops
      @speardrops  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Trossard is a wait and see due to minutes risk.
      Barella too deep for my liking.
      Calhanoglu, great set piece prospects in a bad group but poor qualifying stats. Maybe he will pick up and become a more significant option but he is worth the risk.
      Rodri won't be scoring many from his position in the Spain team but may pick up some points from other sources.
      Castagne a great pick if you want to double up with Faes. He's in another format for me right now.
      I don't trust the Turkish backline with so many cheaper or similar priced options in better sides. Though, yes, it's a fantastic group and fixture for them. They're okay picks.

    • @YewrMan
      @YewrMan 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Calhanoglu will pick up some decent recovered ball points because he'll be kept busy in the group games. Some cheap mids for poorer teams could be good enablers but also pick up decent RB points.

    • @speardrops
      @speardrops  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@YewrMan He's a decent pick if he does manage to pick up a couple attacking returns in the group stages. I don't think recoveries alone for his style of play would do it. He's more creative than defensive.

    • @speardrops
      @speardrops  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Chiesa I like as a player, but don't rate current Italy. Ukraine don't have the worst group but I wouldn't go with Sudakov. Prefer one of the backline, or Mudryk/Dobryk if you really want to go there. There's better value elsewhere.

    • @speardrops
      @speardrops  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Foden is great if he plays 90 mins per game, but he also plays under a negative Southgate style.
      Bellingham looks better for minutes but much deeper versus his role for Madrid. Both expensive.
      Wirtz great but a big minutes risk for the wide roles in the home side.
      Simons has a poor qualifying record but good for minutes and price.

    Who do you think will be the other Portugal full-back? Do you believe Dalot will start?

    • @speardrops
      @speardrops  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      At the minute:
      Cancelo-Pepe-Dias-Dalot
      Costa
      Mendes could come in for Dalot with Cancelo switching to RB.
      Inacio could play CB instead of Dias.
      Costa easily the safest. Dalot the second biggest risk for minutes after the 2nd CB role.

    • @speardrops
      @speardrops  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hojberg will likely get 1-2 recovery points per match but not much in the attack. Mitrovic isn't guaranteed to start or take pens with Vlahovic sniffing around. Your answer is Eriksen for Denmark or Tadic up front for Serbia if you desire someone in those positions and teams at that price range.

      He's averaging at least 6 ball recoveries so he will probably be up for 2 additional points in the first two matchdays against decent opponents. And If he makes any returns that's great. Currently picked by 0% so for me he's a hidden gem. But ofc, he's risky and not safe.

    Samba of France may start, given Maignan's hand injury issues? Biggest bargain if so surely.
    Definite 'whiff' of Man Utd bias with Sabitzer, Hojlund etc being in the top brackets but it's true, after the season they've had it's hard to say no to them ;). The irony of switching to Hull City in a rage tickled me have to say

    • @speardrops
      @speardrops  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I mention that re Samba. But Maignan may be back. Not worth the risk with other price points.
      I've always supported United and followed Hull City as a season ticket holder from the old Division Three and Boothferry Park to the Premiership and FA Cup Final.
      Sabitzer is one of Austrias star players and is in the UCL final with Dortmund. He didn't do much at United. He's done a lot for Austria in qualifiers.
      Hojlund gets much better service at Denmark than he does at United and again, one of his nation's stars, so will be a focal point for the team.
      They're both value picks, I expect neither to be posting premium priced numbers.
