I thought he was on his side like in Crash 1 but than i read he never knew Cortex that boss stage was bcs Crash disturbed his nap. Another fact about this game. Cortex and Crash are working together when it comes to a common enemy. Even Dingodile and N. Gin don't like Cortex and turned against him. Such a pathetic guy here

I had spent ages constantly dying every time he sent his little minions out to kill me, and when I finally defeated the bastard, I thought it would be REALLLLL smart to go jump on his dead body... without getting to the next checkpoint. Boy, was I sorry... xD
