Thanks a lot Ankur , for this detailed explanation. This is a really informative video. Helpful to a lot of Guys&Girls who are really confused on how to choose . I used to regret for not choosing a start-up even though i had an opportunity right after graduation. But after these 2 years of work, i feel whatever you have discussed is so true! And my dear friends! Just a note " What works for Others may not work you!"
I came across you today , I can’t stop watching your videos . So relevant , I feel like something has changed and something is changing within me every minute I watch you .
I feel a person should spend at least 5 yrs of his career in a corporate. There is lot to learn under team of experienced professionals especially solving problems, analysis and taking decisions. With all these experience, a person can join a startup and apply there.
Hey Ankur, i started my career with startup company. When i join the company i am the only person in that startup and its was a very tough decision of life because after college over everyone is applying in big companies like tcs, wipro etc at that point i choose startup. Now 2 yrs is over and we are working very hard and we build a storng team and and now we have clients for our software that we made. In that duration i learned so many things not only the coding and also the hole things that startup company needs.

There are many other points: 1. HR Policies and values that corporate gives.. 2. Working ethics are created in corporate eg- the Time to reach office etc..
Thanks Ankur! I can identify and relate to these experiences so much. Had a 6 - 3 year stint each in Corporate B2b role followed by the current startup stint. We have a good mix of corporate experience in the founding team and the engineers are largely from startup background. The difference is palpable. Corporate- Process> Structure > Grind> Rigor = Really helps in appreciating hard work leading to outcomes, Really helps in developing grit. I echo your thoughts that there is so much of a hype around startups that people undermine the corporates a lot. But it adds a valuable element to your experience in the long run.
I have worked for two corporates for 5 years and then switched to a product based fintech startup. I agree to each and every fact that you have highlighted in this vlog. 🙏🙏 I was literally nodding throughout this video because every point was relatable.
Excellent video. You must have added this: In a start up you can learn something in a year which can be learned in two years but this issue that you won't learn quality work in a startup. This lack of quality will reflect when u move into big organization's.

Startup job is with business is possible Been doing that myself , yes you need to love both your work or else you will be in a hectic lifestyle which you will hate eventually and then the pieces fall
Great post. You nailed it. I have been in the same boat. I started my career back in 2009 with a corporate job. I quickly realized that corporate job wasnt for me at that stage as it was limiting my potential. I moved to a startup company, leveraged, tested my competence and potential. And have been in that environment for almost 8 years. And now I am starting a family soon. So decided to move to a corporate environment so that i can focus on personal life and family. In startups I have been spending almost 12-14 hours a day and I did not mind it, i enjoyed the time. At this stage of life i learned that i missing out time with my family and startups are always a risk. I wanted stability, and time with family. So moved to corporate environment. As you said. It's a choice and I am so happy that i worked in both the environments and made a choice based on my stage in life and priorities.

that rap part got me laughing so hard lol. The content never ceases to amaze me and enlightens me. If I may I'd like to suggest having your own intro with a specific theme (which i noticed in the latter videos so great) and a more aesthetic or pleasing thumbnail which represents the ideology behind the videos.
