Oh my god, it all makes sense now. He really was just in it for the videogames, and wanted everyone to have fun. Only too late do i finally understand, Mr.Iwata.
I don't think Wii U deserves the failure it gets. While the sales _were_ bad, considering the Switch is projected to sell more in its launch year than the Wii U had in its entire lifetime, the technology still was impressive, to the point where there were some advantages over the Switch, including a resistive touchscreen, a full-on Internet browser, a _gargantuan_ game library, Miiverse, Virtual Console (at least for now), and most of all, backwards compatibility with the Wii.
Sadly, the Wii U divided more than it united. What a shame that we have to argue so much about video games instead of just enjoying them and loving them. The Wii U had some amazing games. Iwata knew what he was doing. We shouldn't have doubted him. R.I.P.

I really dig the Pro controller. And I love how the the Game Pad is like an extension of the console. Can't wait for this thing to finally be released!
Iwata was such a legend. I wish he was still around to continue to push back against the current reality with technology. The Wii U was based on a very solid why and it had a genuinely good mission, it just needed better marketing and design. Although I love my Wii U still and I'll keep it for years to come.

Also I really loved that we can use older things like the stylus for DS and Wii accessories in order to have a better gameplay experience. The "hardcore gamer's" controller is alsoa great idea, especially because it looks like a xbox360 controller so it will be much easier to familiar with the new controller. 10 points for Nintendo!
