@@SeanDevine Well it's because what defines an ACAAN routine is that a card is not 'selected' and visibly moved around (controlled) .... a card is named and a number chosen .... and then counted to. All routines that mean the card is 'selected' and displayed and 'lost' are designated CAAN and do not qualify. That is why many (including David Berglas's) use a mem deck ... so the card is secretly located and repositioned and not visibly controlled.

To fools magician, you can do false double lifts, or false techniques, like changes or controls, they will expect something to happen, and the trick will be in totally another direction... Boris Wild fooled Penn and Teller with that so...

Did this in the middle of a 5 or Maybe 6 trick set at family reunion BBQ. I know what you're thinking thats easy they're family right? Naaahh this was Katie's family reunion and I only knew like 4 people out of the 60ish that were there 😱😱😱 was a little nervous as it was the biggest crowd I've performed in front of but after I got the first trick out-of the way it was no problem. Went well. Many of them like this trick the best, btw (-:

I don't like when the spectator can't see what the magician is doing. I mean when the magician hides his cards, but that happened for a second, so I really like it!

Lol yes. I accidentally moved it to the 2nd position so I had to lose the top card with a slip cut
