Jump Rope Challenge!!! They released it during Covid because they were working from home and wanted to make something for people to do during lockdown. It is still available to download for free! Also yes, it was very hot that day we were jump roping.
I remember Skip-it. The song lives rent free in my brain. If anyone hasn't seen the commerical, don't look it up if you don't want a jingle stuck in your head for days.
Jump rope is a thing for work out gyms as well. Boxers and fighters jump rope for example but you may not see body builders jump rope that often
Fun fact: I have trouble jump roping the normal way. It's much easier if I go the opposite way.

I was never particularly good at anything to do with gym class, but my tenuous claim to fame in Grade 2 was learning how to skip Double Dutch before I'd figured out single rope.
Regarding the end, I've seen jump rope's suggested as a really cheap exercise tool because they're all basically the same
I bought a jump rope a few months ago as a way to get some cardio in at home (which has been very good in the past few weeks when we've had nothing but rain, rain, and more rain). It's super fun! I love jumping rope! I actually use it a bit during my cross training days and sometimes as a warmup for my workouts!
Similar to other people on here, I have a jump rope for home exercise. Been getting into it more over time, a nice bit of cardio is useful to refocus when I’m working at home. I’d honestly recommend it, especially considering your affinity for DDR, could be something to spice up exercise especially in the winter. I’m getting to the point where I can do more technical jumps and it’s really satisfying
I have not done jump rope since my senior year of high school. In strength and conditioning class after doing our main exercises for that day, one of the extra workouts we did on occasion was a few one minute rotations of jump rope and air squats. And yes Stephen, "few" meaning three or more. 😅
jump rope!! really liked doing jump rope when i was younger. i was part of my elementary school's boys and girl club in 2nd grade, jump rope and skip-it was pretty popular - sometimes the advisors would swing the ropes for double dutch, which was pretty fun! i probably can't double dutch as well now cause i forgot the right timing for entering in but i'm still decent at jump rope.
I used to do jump rope as means of exercise (once you get into the rhythm of it you can go fast or reach hundreds easily) years back but promptly stopped around 2020. I tried getting back into it around early 2023 but it only aggravated my right knee (probably bad form + not easing into the exercise)
I have a jump rope and still on occasion use it. I don’t do it as much because i got a rowing machine for my cardio instead.

It's funny you mention that because I think there's more than one skipping minigame in Mario Party. Most people remember the one with the podoboos but there was also a really broken one in MP8 that the single-player VS the three could win reaaaal easily. Idk if there are others, I only ever played 8 on the Wii bc it was the first home console I owned.
