Today is my father's birthday. I lost him 6 years ago to the terrible"C". Today I reflect on his life and the impact he has left on mine. The time was 4am and I just finished studying for my upcoming board exams in a breakaway room at my university. It was cold, dark and stormy outside but there he was waiting to take me home. it hurts so much, isnt it? cause i feel it rn. i just done with my toxic relationship. but then he came to me, we met on discord server i never met him yet in real life, but the broken heart that i felt is so real, he was so nice to me, be there to listen anything that i said, giving a wise advice, we're both love singing and play instrument also making lyrics and music together. he was there with all his attentions for me, we talk till we're both fell a sleep, chat all day, performing to one and other server together. its so calming and i feel safe whenever i talk to him, cause basically me and him has the same background as a broken home kid who needs someone to listen and be there for us. i felt so comfortable with him. i though god send him to heal me and make me believe in love again, i though he might like me. but turns out he said that "his intensions never gonna be that way from the first place to me, he just wanna be friend with me". and im not the one who "treated" that way from him, so after toxic's one here comes another broken hearted story for me a.k.a one sided love. i hate my self rn. its hard to forget him eventho we never met before. Me and my best friend go to diferent colleges now. It's been really hard learning how to live my life without him arround me constantly. It's so weird not seeing his angry face everyday because he hated mornings. It's the worst feeling ever and i just wish i could hug him all the time because i honestly miss him so damm much. He's been there for the hardest things and i love him so much that i consider him a brother. He helped me in becoming a better person and growing up. Those who is heartbroken now, let me tell you something. Loving that person is the best time of your life and you won't regret that love. But when you breakup or something happen, you will keep crying your tears over the person you love. You keep blaming that is your fault that this relationship doesn't workout. But what make you stop from moving on is your guilt or your sadness. I know it might sound stupid but drink some warm water, talk with someone about it and let all your frustration out from this. You might feel better after this.
Great advice, I mean talking to someone lighten your heart and you feel little better and that's the first step towards getting better. Never been into a relationship but I know how it feels to have your hart been broken into pieces. But in general talking about something which is disturbing you helps a lot.

he's my mentor. he helped me transition from a classical pianist to a jazz pianist. it was really hard and he helped me so much. despite being a mentor and mentee , he is such a good friend. it sounds so cringy when i say he isn't like other guys , but he isn't. he's respectful , musically talented , and he has such a calming nature. i feel so safe whenever i'm with him and he has the softest voice ever. he's pretty introverted and i'm one of the few people who actually knows what his voice sounds like. i love how he writes in perfect cursive without lined paper. as of today , i only have two days to spend time with him before he graduates. we're in different grades so his breaks were different from mine. even if we did have the same break , he's in a computers program that took place out of the school. we only have jazz studies and vocal jazz together; each lasting for about one hour. i don't think i'm ready for this. the thought of not seeing him is terrifying. people are expecting me to take his place next year and i don't think i can do it. he's moving cities for universities. he doesn't frequently text and he's too shy to call. i don't even know if i can tell him how much he means to me without stammering on my words. something tells me that after this year , we'll never see each other again.
Please tell him! you never know what the other person might be thinking, maybe they like you but they also think it's one sided and they just wait. And believe me, even if it doesn't turn out as you want, you'll never regret being honest with your feelings. At least you did all you could, at least you won't regret after years. At least you won't be left thinking about the possibilities that could have occurred if you just was honest with him.
Hey, I really hope you have overcome it, I dont know what it is like to fall in love and have to separate, because I've never fall in love so I am the last person who can comfort you but I really hope you are better since I would like you to live without having to go through bad feelings. I miss him. How is it possible to love and gets heartbroken by someone who you never meet in real? It was only a few months for him, but it felt like a lifetime for me. Sorry for your loss but you’re just with the wrong kind of person. I’m glad you could get past the toxic relationship. Just know that if it was due to long distance relationship than it wasn’t worth it anyways. Just find someone that you can resonate with well and you’ll understand that no amount of distance is far. Have you looked at an immigrant’s life who had left his wife and kids for years and years to provide them the best lives and only to reunite after decades of separation? Me and my best friend go to diferent colleges now. It's been really hard learning how to live my life without him arround me constantly. Those who is heartbroken now, let me tell you something.
Loving that person is the best time of your life and you won't regret that love. But when you breakup or something happen, you will keep crying your tears over the person you love. You keep blaming that is your fault that this relationship doesn't workout. But what make you stop from moving on is your guilt or your sadness.
I know it might sound stupid but drink some warm water, talk with someone about it and let all your frustration out from this. You might feel better after this.

he's my mentor. he helped me transition from a classical pianist to a jazz pianist. it was really hard and he helped me so much. despite being a mentor and mentee , he is such a good friend. it sounds so cringy when i say he isn't like other guys , but he isn't. he's respectful , musically talented , and he has such a calming nature. i feel so safe whenever i'm with him and he has the softest voice ever. he's pretty introverted and i'm one of the few people who actually knows what his voice sounds like. i love how he writes in perfect cursive without lined paper.
as of today , i only have two days to spend time with him before he graduates. we're in different grades so his breaks were different from mine. even if we did have the same break , he's in a computers program that took place out of the school.
we only have jazz studies and vocal jazz together; each lasting for about one hour.
i don't think i'm ready for this. the thought of not seeing him is terrifying. people are expecting me to take his place next year and i don't think i can do it. he's moving cities for universities. he doesn't frequently text and he's too shy to call. i don't even know if i can tell him how much he means to me without stammering on my words.
something tells me that after this year , we'll never see each other again.
Sad but I think you should at least let him now how much he means to you.
Please tell him! you never know what the other person might be thinking, maybe they like you but they also think it's one sided and they just wait. And believe me, even if it doesn't turn out as you want, you'll never regret being honest with your feelings. At least you did all you could, at least you won't regret after years. Hey, I really hope you have overcome it, I dont know what it is like to fall in love and have to separate, because I've never fall in love so I am the last person who can comfort you but I really hope you are better since I would like you to live without having to go through bad feelings. You know, life can be very unfair but it will always lead us in the direction we are destined for and believe me if life took something appreciated from you, it will return it to you in another way. Though, while we were talking I asked where she was from and she said Massachusetts. (I live in the west coast) and I had realized that I’d probably never see her again. Sorry for your loss but you’re just with the wrong kind of person. I’m glad you could get past the toxic relationship. Just know that if it was due to long distance relationship than it wasn’t worth it anyways. Just find someone that you can resonate with well and you’ll understand that no amount of distance is far. Have you looked at an immigrant’s life who had left his wife and kids for years and years to provide them the best lives and only to reunite after decades of separation? It’s deep love and understanding that keeps them off of insanity.
