- Made another 8-bit Nintoaster, not much else to say about it. This one's going to the AVGN.
PS: The dashing gentleman in the top hat is my good friend Baron Von Badedit, who helps cover up my bad edits.
PPS: I have some different non-toaster stuff on the way eventually, in case anyone was wondering.
James is so lucky to have that greatest work of video game mechanisms.
This video was filmed with a toaster.
Haha!
CoinHuntingDrew well it is now 10 years old
I love how you say "a lot of you thought the heating elements were still intact... that's retarted." Perfect way to put it! I could make a damn list of the things that are wrong with that statement, but you sum it up perfectly in a single sentence!
0:11 - Just take those old records off the shelf!
Nice dust cover you have there. That is some very ingenius stuff. And good to see this model Nintoaster has a working temperature knob to dim the LEDs.
I love that dustcover lol it's just that little extra thing that makes it complete
"BAD EDIT!" might be the best cut ever.
Yes. The avgn Nintoaster. Such nostalgia.. 😭 wish we could go back in time. We are still here none the less
Heating elements...
When he got to the word 'people' I thought "No, he's not going to say--"
Then he did and I facepalmed...
"I am not turning these expensive games into a goddamn English muffin." -Pat the NES Punk
Richard never thought that his creation would grace not just the original NWC cart but the Gold NWC as well. What a privilege for a rare and even more rare game!
I know that the reproduction NWC was the only copy inserted into the Nintoaster II in the episode but c'mon, Pat had to have been curious behind the scenes during his visit to help make that AVGN episode...
The toaster should have a multi-cart inside! Get one of those 110-1 game carts and put it in the toast-cart!
Very cool!
3:13 That's a sign that the person is conscientious of the danger of toasters, enough that they associate it with the light.
When was this filmed, 1992? lol
Are you me from some strange alternate reality?! Well now that I think of it I guess anyone could qualify for that in their own respects..
It's great to see you again, Richard!!.
Hey, I have a question: I see you always place the AC adapters inside the consoles (and toasters lol), but I wonder: have you ever had any overheating issues because of it?, specially considering how the toaster case is smaller than that of the NES and all the stuff is so close together inside.
Damn. Is this that 5200-couch? No? Make that couch already!
No.
EPOXY TOAST FTW!
Nice toaster. lulz at the heating element part.
RC Cola!!!!!!! Awesome job on the Nintoaster though. I'm gonna start making mine in a few weeks.
Year of Cheer So will I. I just found a shiny old toaster from the late 1980s that looks almost identical to richard's toaster. I think it is cool that I could find one that is so similar to Richard's. I also love the taste of RC cola and I drink it every time I work on a project electronic projects or working on my ebay store business.
Michael Pierce I think that old toaster I just found is Richards nintoaster's twin brother. LOL
LOL cool dog! He was like a kid imitating an adult!
Then this toaster went on to star in many of the nerd's videos.
You should do a 4 port toaster and use the extra 2 spots as controller holders when you arent using it. Well done!!!
Another awesome Nintoaster man. Just curious, how much do you charge to make one on commission?
Very nice job! Love the Dust Cover bread thingy! Can't wait to see the interesting things on the way Richard!
LOL, when Imade mine, it only took 2 days, and I prefected your idea. I made everything modular, so in the event that I need to repair something, I can just take it apart without have to chip away at Epoxy!! Yay, and all my wiring unplugs, FTW!! LOL
Does the Nintoaster really load up games like that every time? if so you perfected the NES! Im so tired of trying for a few minutes to get my NES going.
this is a good device. May i ask do you take comissions on these? and if so how much do they cost?? i know they must cost a ton lol
i love ur videos. ur so talented
i want one of those nintoasters so bad
it would be awesome if one side made toast and the other played games
i love your work, really awesome !!!
You should get a 4 slice toaster and make a weird super nintoaster and nintoaster hybrid
I actually really like the dust cover/toast. I'd love to be able to make something like this but don't have any electronics expertise.
when are you going too make the instructions video for making a nintoaster, as you said you would?
Richard has never met James in person.
"bad edit" is epic :D
@OneAVGNFan
If I had a 64DD, I sure as hell wouldn't be cutting it up to throw into a home made system. They are at least $300. Something like that you keep the way it is. :P
your very good at engineering of nintoaster. i use to play nes long time ago
Did you sort out an audio amp for the stereo signal yet?
not until chocolate coke is invented
good to have you back rich! :)
is that the one used by avgn
you should use one of those 4 slice toastres and make a multi system
that dog's the shit: man slides --- dog slides (sorta) lol
I believe he has sold one to AVGN.
are you the guy that tryed to fix The Angry Video Games Nerd's Jaguar CD
this one now belongs to AVGN
It was a bit of a tight squeeze...
Really tight squeeze.....
MMMMMMMMMM sooo tight right now
it was... BEAUTIFUL! D,:
Super Awesome!
awesome dust cover xD
GREAT WORK!
saturn + toaster = satoaser
MAKE IT HAPPEN SEGA
now you should put a toaster in an nes
i wanna put sum jam on dat toast
i want a nintoaster too ^_^
I need one.
Didn't you sell one to the AVGN?
isnt this the one you gave to james?
omg fucking awesome! love the dust cover!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the main nintoaster website from the original people who came up with it sell for about $300. i just got mine!
hell yeah Fear Factory!
ALL TOASTERS TOAST NES
*googles*
hm, i thought that the one on the NES was just contra, and apparently that's for arcade. i've never been a big fan of those games. contra 4 was the SNES one, now that i think more. i'm researching all of the old contra games. and maybe i'll play a few on emulators.
4:00 And then the 5 min video became 3 hours.
Fear Factory FTW
hey dude are you still building the nintoasters!? i would totally buy one from you!!!
Nah. Other things need fixing/creation.
Ok. Thanks dude!
where youve been ese?
You're damn epic!
I think he did.
fucking fantastic. dust cover was the best.
AVGN said in his Action 52 video "It's a Nintoaster, and yes it works"
You!!! :P also I recently got a Nintoaster just like this
DaGameNerd You did?
+cutemimi25 Yes, although mine is built slightly differently.
I've since seen a number of people building/selling them after the Instructional Video. While I absolutely encourage this, I cannot speak to the individual build quality. If they do good work, and you really want one, go for it.
Sanic, are you talking to me with that attitude, I don't think so and maybe next time you better think twice before flipping me off.
does this guy just have an infinite supply of toasters and nes's
Yes.
no, but you could probably find both at a thrift store for about $15-20 total
This was back when you could get a NES for around $10-30 instead of close to 80. Fuck scalpers, I hope this retro bubble bursts ASAP.
THANK YOU.
+Angolin For real. I have like 3 NESes that still work, so hopefully I'm good, fuck paying $80 for something that should cost $15
can you make others and sell them
Love the Nintoaster... but for some reason the fake bread puts a bigger smile on my face. :) Just awesome !
That dust cover idea is adorable.. Maybe one day I'll find all of my old systems and put them in toasters.... *determined nod*
Excellent work again! :D
I wonder if the AVGN is going to feature this/use it as his default NES for reviewing ^^
I'm curious to know what game got made into the dust cover
Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. :)
LOL.
for the love of pete, put one on ebay, I can't find them anyway
What is the toaster brand
Sunbeam
Hes like... Bill Murray reincarnated
He'd have to die first, by established rules of reincarnation.
He's Bill Murray, he should have the power to choose his successor before he dies.
Fair enough.
Not knocking your work but since this has 2 holes is it possible to make a NES/SNES combo toaster all in 1?
it's good thing one other youtuber upgraded the toaster when it was apparantly fried when avgn revealed the toaster was saying it stopped working
i lol'd at the dust cover.
that was epic though. when will it be on avgn?
5/5
You are exactly the kind of people I wish lived near me.
what toaster is it made from?
from nes
So are you the only guy who makes this thing? How much you charge?
I don't know what distracts me most about this video;
- The scene of you sliding on the hardwood floor
- The dog chasing after you sliding
- The "bad edits"
- The fact you had to clarify the LEDs WERE LEDs
or
- The Fear Factory "Obsolete" shirt (ofcourse I'd be distracted by this, killer album)
Erased, extinct.
After watching the first Nintoaster video, I thought about making a one of my own, but with a slight difference, A 4 SLICER. well technically 3 slicer, one would be for the controller inputs, the other would be Super Nintendo, NES and Sega Genesis. However, I don't have any spare systems to make it, because I like having the originals.
but, in time I will make one.
I saw on AVGN that he using a Nintoasterto play some Action 52 for NES
you talk and move like a mad scientist showcasing his incredible work.
you sir are my new idol.
I hope the AVGN uses it in a review :D
"I should probably turn off the camara and wrap the video up... but there is a problem... its contra". Epic.
Bro youtube just randomly recommend me this video. The avgn nintoaster 😮
@sog6289 Hahah, awesome! XD. Yeah that'll happen on occasion.
The dust cover takes it to a previously unexplored level of awesome. Great work as always!
I found a toaster at goodwill that looks exactly like this one so I'll make my own nintoaster with a bread dust cover!
Did James buy this from you or did you donate it to him?
you know your old when you get of a chair and make this noise 3:40
in 2016, it's called Nintendo Switch.
I'll die happy if I ever find out that at least one person in upper-management at Nintendo became aware of this at some point and stopped for even a minute to think "...but why? What IS this? WHY is this?" Even better if a meeting was held in some capacity.
vomitsaw Knowing how popular the AVGN and the Nintoaster 2 is... I wont be surprised at all if somebody in Nintendo is aware of the Nintoaster mods and the Nintendo Switch maybe was somewhat inspired by the NES being called toasters. Also its now only a matter of time before someone gives the NES Classic Mini the Nintoaster treatment.
The Angry Video Game Nerd retrofitted his Nintoaster with an HDMI port which could've been V3.
wait, thats the avgn toaster!
I still quote "BAD EDIT" when I see a jumpcut in anything I'm watching.
