I would love to see a video on how you implement a lesson in Beautiful Feet! I purchased this set a few years ago, but when I tried to use it, I felt like I didn't know how to do a lesson.
We are switching to Apologia science this year as well, I'm so excited. My daughter is doing land animals for 3rd, I plan on flying creatures for 4th. You'll have to let us know how you like it. We also love mind benders, so enjoyable! I'm definitely going to look in to fix it grammar, that would be a great addition for us.
You can make beautiful feet books curriculum a lot more affordable by buying the guide (I found mine cheaper on rainbow resource) and then buying the books second hand. We are doing the k-3 geography course. I have found some of the TH-cam videos they suggest to not seem to exist. A QR code would be nice. But overall it’s great. Advanced for age ranges suggested for sure. My geography loving 4th grader loves it!
Sounds as though you incorporated several different “brands” within TGTB. I’m very new to H.S. Will be H.Sing a second grader. She loves to read and reads well. Also does really well with math however her writing skills need work. Would she be too young to do the one your 4th grader will be doing?
I believe IEW recommends they don’t begin their writing program until they are in the 4th grade. However, you know your child best and sometimes those labels don’t always apply. Every child is different. You can check the IEW website I believe there are samples so you can cross check that with her. Hope this helps!
Hi! With AAS, do you feel just following the teacher’s manual for instruction is enough? Or do you also utilize the new student activity book and cards (phonogram, rule, etc)? I am so interested in this program just for the explicit instruction but really want to keep it simple without all the rule cards and such. However, I am worried that because the program is designed to utilize those things it might not ‘stick’ without them.
For my son I have found the teachers manual is enough. Now I do utilize some of the other tools they send but we do not do any of the tiles we just spell them out either on our board or on paper when there is a new teaching. I do follow the repetitive parts in the instruction manual, but again we just omit the tiles. And it works wonderfully!

I don’t think anyone could regret it!

@@Homeschoolingonpurposethank you for your help! What other specific pieces besides the manual do you actually use?
I use the jail word sheets, the syllable tags, and I’m currently using the silent E book that goes along with AAS 3!
@@HomeschoolingonpurposeThank you! This helps a lot!
Your welcome!!
