Shoto Todoroki (轟とどろき焦しょう凍と Todoroki Shōto?) is a student in Class 1-A at U.A. High School, where he got in through official recommendations[2] and is training to become a Pro Hero. He is the youngest son of Endeavor, the No. 1 Hero, and one of the main protagonists of the series.
Enji Todoroki (轟とどろき炎えん司じ Todoroki Enji?), also known as Flame Hero: Endeavor (フレイムヒーロー エンデヴァー Fureimu Hīrō Endevā?), is the Pro Hero with the highest tally of resolved cases in history and father of Shoto, Fuyumi, Natsuo, and Toya Todoroki. PLUS ULTRA PROMINENCE BURN Following All Might's retirement, Enji temporarily became the No. 1 Hero after being the No. 2 Hero for a very long time and after the latest JP Hero Billboards Chart announcement, officially became the No. 1 Hero.

This song describes Todoroki's life perfectly how he had trouble accepting his other half ,but now he finally has started to accept it and become the hero he was always ment to be

You can feel the passion put into this song and it actually made me emotional because you took both his backstory and how he’s growing as a person in 3 minutes this had more depth and love put into this than a full my hero academia episode

"Scars" comes off as a representation of his cold side: calculating, introspective, regretful.
"Demons," Todo's other song by Divide, seems to represent his hot side: Vengeful, confrontational, righteous.

Shoto's backstory always really spoke to me, as another victim of abuse. Great song.
The song is more about the emotion and feelings todoroki had with his family and himself and everyone around him
When you listen to the lyrics, does anyone else hear Zuko's story as well, or is it just me?
Never thought about this connection but there are fan theories about Dabi being one of Endeavors kids if so and given the blue flames you could pretty much call him Azula.

Just like Todoroki, this song is fire and super cool all at the same time.
I like how this one sort of represents Torodoki's ice side as its more mellow and calm compared to Demons which feels like it describes his fire side with its speed and somewhat heavier electric and drum instruments
I saw this in my recommended page and I was like “aw shit this is about fire” no pun intended

Its because this song focus on the story of a boy overcoming the emotional mental abuse caused to him by his horrible parent, the line "my wounds will never forget, the scars that you left" is ment to be symbolic of that his actual scar is a reminder if the mental and emotional scars left by his shitty father. Its relatiable because its the story of child getting through the abuse caused by a horrible parent. Which is extremely relatable

Wow, this is an amazing theme for Zuko, and really gets to the heart of the character.
Wait...
They are strangely similar characters especially when he says the line about following the path that he chose and not his father's footsteps.
His softer songs are truly his best pieces, certainly a treat when he releases one.
This song I love it! it suits Todoroki so well, I feel his pain and I understand his character he lives a hard life. Through it all those I find what Deku told him inspired him greatly, its amazing what a fellow hero in training can do when he wants to help his classmate. Even if it meant him getting really badly injured in the process, honestly when Deku said what he said in the fight between them I felt it too Todoroki's change. Words are powerful and in a anime like this it goes to show, that even the ones who think badly of themselves with the right encouragement can change.

Idk what it is about his voice but it’s so soothing makes me relaxed
Divide is an amazing singer, wicked range, both in pitch and tone. Like compare this to the Broly song vocally and there's a vast difference. Honestly he's just great at everything. And the song he wrote about Gon, the guitar solo is fairly simple yet powerful and tasty af. It gets me every time. It's like I'm listening to it, trying to sing it and part way in I can't even because it's just so relatable to me and I tear up. Also when the solo hits I can't help but scream "SHOW ME ROCK " when it shows him going in for the punch against ( sorry been a while so I forget his name ) but the bomber guy, plus seeing how Gon is so reckless that you see the fear on the dudes face when he just blows up his wrists and Gon is just like " Idgaf, come at me bro". Also the timing of the guitar in the Broly song is totally unexpected and on point. Divide is just phenomenal. Honestly it would be super amazing to me to get to ever work with him, though that's probably a pipe dream but the guy got me back into playing music when I'd had so many people bail on bands and haven't actually formed one in 13 years of trying to, showed me I don't need to depend on others. Also his grasp of character development and psychology combined with his ability to write amazing lyrics is just insanity. He's able to get inside their heads and just write in the first person as that character. Very talented. Actually my favorite artist, like tied with DLR/VH and GnR to me, and he's one dude. Mind blown.

It's an incredible song, I feel like even if you don't know the anime you can still love this song, its relatable for so many individuals, simply amazing!
My favorite thing about Divide songs is that he so perfectly captures the characters with the tone of the song! It really sounds like Shoto is singing this. And even though it's still your voice singing Midoriya's song, or Bakugou's, or All Might's, they all sound exactly like the characters are singing! Really epic.

I love your songs so much because you don’t use stuff in the anime, for example this could have been “quirks” or people’s name in the anime but instead you look past that and make a song about their backstory wether it’s sad and down, or motivational. Make it so that even people who don’t watch anime could also enjoy this because they might relate to this.
