⇢ Welcome to our TH-cam channel. We are Leigh and Nick, a married couple from the UK (Technically we are civil partner shipped but hey it's close enough)
Due to a health scare in 2017, we decided to start enjoying life more outside our business. We bought a Lodge on the east coast of England and started vlogging our daily adventures
Join us as we explore the UK, Florida, Disney and further afield aswell as spending time at the Lodge on our own, with family and with our friends

Ah poor Vera, hope shes ok now. How lucky that she had you guys with her to look after her and help her. I bet it meant the world to her, it's so upsetting and scary when something like that happens, so I'm sure it it was a huge comfort having you with her. Xxx

I'm so sorry to hear about Vera,I hope she's feeling much better now, I can only imagine how much pain she was in but I'm so glad you were both there with her throughout her trauma,you guys must have gotten a dreadful fright too. Sending speedy recovery wishes to Vera.
Then that awful carry on in the early hours must have been very scary too,I'm sure you guys won't forget New Orleans in a hurry but for all the wrong reasons sadly. 💙💙 xx

Oak Alley plantation house is worth a visit inside, people were so tiny back then! I agree about Bourbon Street, never felt safe when I was there and the nightime was even worse. The paddle steamer was fun with decent food but that was when I visited in 2014
Wow what an eventful vlog, hope Vera recovers well, so sorry for her that’s awful, the story about bells at the cemetery, that was pretty gruesome 😬, couldn’t make it up, a shooting as well, really loved the vlog, obviously not about poor Vera, love all the tips as well, looking forward to the next one and update on Vera xx
Hope Vera is recovering well. My father in law is just recovering from a broken hip also. Not a nice thing to go through. Hopefully she has a speedy recovery! 😊
Holy 🐄! What a adventure this video is. First I hope Vera is doing better when this vlog came out. I pray she heals fast. The cemetery thing was fascinating. I never knew any of that. It sounded alittle gruesome but very interesting. I'm glad you shared that with us. I've only been in states where they bury you in the ground. I myself plan to be cremated & my dust spread around secretly scattered different fun places. The ending was also crazy. I can't imagine what you guys would of done if you had been walking back to the hotel & you were near the incident. Looking forward to your next video. There's never a dull moment with you guys.✌️👍🤓

I was in New Orleans 5 years ago so enjoyed this vlog .I would have recommended a swamp tour but realized your probably a week or so behind. I wasn't that impressed with the beignets either! Hope Vera has a speedy recovery!❤️

Interview With.. is also one of my all time favourites :) N'orleans was my and my sister's bestest holidays, ever. Stayed at Royal Sonesta on Bourbon. Did the city stink of rotten crawfish shells for you too? I must say I'm surprised that Bourbon Street's gone so downhill. It was a hive of nightlife, spilling onto the street and felt safe before the flooding, we never felt threatened. We stayed a few days before moving north thro' to Memphis (elvis) and Nashville.

We went to New Orleans for 2 nights for Mardi Gras & loved it, even though it was absolutely mental … Bourbon St was wall to wall packed with people but everyone was dressed up & it was a fantastic atmosphere.
We’d driven from Orlando but we stopped off at Pensacola Beach on the way there & Destin on the way back, both really lovely with the whitest sand ever

We found bourbon st great fun when we were younger but not our cup of tea now. Frenchmen St was much better and had great live music.

My parents took me to New Orleans ( from Australia) when I was 13 and my brother was 8. I had my first alcoholic drink on bourbon st at lunch time 😂 my main memory was being terrified of the fortune tellers in Jackson square.
Regarding the film int vampire, most of the interior shots were filmed at pinewood film studios near London

What a shock. Poor Vera - poor Lodge Guys. Something like that really shakes you. You always get a fire truck and an ambulance. Firemen are also paramedics. Ambulances you pay for (via your medical insurance). Man though, all those men in one bedroom 😵. Sending 🙏🏻for Vera. Fascinating in the cemeteries, thanks for sharing that experience. The padlocks on bridges is supposed to be for a couple - sign their names on the padlock, lock it meaning they are together forever and then throw the keys the river below. In France on bridge got so heavy part of it collapsed- it was estimated the padlocks added 45 tons.

You two are in my neck of the woods. I've been in Oak Alley. It's a common field trip for schools. Oak trees are protected in my city. The roots can be growing in your house and you can't mess with the tree. OMG...I just stayed across the street from the Marriott at the Sheraton this past weekend. I am so sorry about Vera. I'm glad she received great attention form the medical staff. You are absolutely correct about Bourbon Street. I never go there. Jackson Square is a much nicer place to hang out. You should have gone to Hotel Monteleone for a drink. The bar is a rotating carousel.
Oh poor Vera. That's terrible. It's awful coping with an accident abroad.
My mum broke her leg in Portugal. Her foot was literally hanging off
I was having a nervous breakdown. It s a terrible experience. They botched up the operation and had to be re operated on 3 years after.
Vera will have had fantastic care I'm sure. Will have been an enormous shock.

Yes had a great time . Did the trip on the Natchez ship and did a Segway tour. We love live music so enjoyed the bars and had my son and his mate and a mate of Andy’s with us so a bit of a party atmosphere and it was 11 yrs ago. Not impressed that a prostitute tried to pick up Andy even though he was walking with me.

I can't believe you went to New Orleans, I'm from across the lake on the north shore and never go into New Orleans except to go to my oncologist, if it weren't for cancer I would never go there! Just this last year New Orleans was listed as the murder capitol of the United States. And as for the French Quarter, it's basically a urinal. There are nice places but it's just too scary for me. I hope your friend Vera is on the mend, it's horrible that it had to happen on vacation.

I enjoy your vlogs. I felt sorry for Vera, however did she manage to get back to her hotel. I hope Vera is on her way to making a full recovery. It must have been a little scary and upsetting for you both. I can testify the excellent care you get in America, my mum came with myself, her granddaughter and my daughters boyfriend. My mum took ill while having dinner in MGM Studios and had 2 nights in the Celebration hosp, I could not have had nicer people looking after my mum, mum was lucky because she went with a retired nurse and 2 Dr’s.
I can see why this video was over an hour long. Talk about an eventful a couple of days! I feel bad for Vera - there’s nothing quite so unpleasant as having a medical emergency while on vacation. Like the others here, I hope that she is recovering well. I have to say I was disappointed that you were not as impressed with the beignets at Café du Monde as I was; I find it hard to imagine any beignets being better than they are there. As for gumbo, I have a friend who is from Louisiana who makes absolutely delicious gumbo that I would put up against any you could buy at a restaurant.
