I'm using Abeka currently for my Kinder and 1st grader which has worked really well, but eventually I want to make the switch over to Charlotte Mason next year and moving forward. I'm trying to learn how to implement CM correctly. Thanks for all your videos so far, please keep sharing your journey with us!

Thank you for your encouragement! I had a whole plan for videos, and then we started school back up and I've been so swamped! I'm hoping to get back at it again.
I'm definitely not the kind of person who feels like the way we do things is the best/only way, but I will say that the Charlotte Mason method has been such an incredible blessing for our family. I hope it blesses yours, too!

I will be starting kindergarten with my fourth child this year. I've homeschooled all of my kids and LOL I have used different material for every one of them in kindergarten. This year we are trying Five in a Row for the first time. I'll be pulling in my pre-k, second grader and 5th Grader to the lessons even though I originally got the book for my kindergartner. She'll also be using Math-U-See. (I don't always start math in kindergarten, but this daughter is a little bit older kindergartner and I think she is ready.) Hope you have a great year.

The pre-reading set is amazing!!! My little one was eager to do this and talk to Ziggy each lesson! I highly recommend to doing the pre-reading like you said because it covers so many skills besides letters and sounds that children need to know prior to actually reading words.

YES!! The reading readiness skills it covers are absolutely essential! I'm so glad your kiddo loves Ziggy so much, too!

Loved this video. I recently discovered Charlotte Mason and was wondering how to do kindergarten considering formal lessons don't start until age 6 so this was very helpful! We are planning to use A Year of Tales curriculum based on the books of Beatrix Potter. I can't wait to start!

Also have you heard of The Peaceful Press Nourishing Kindergarten? Looks amazing! You just need to add a math curriculum!

I have a 5 year old starting Kindergarden! We will be continuing “Teach your Child to read in 100 lessons” along with BOB books/living books, Kindergarten Math with Confidence, and lots of outdoor playing!

    Hi!
Do you let your child watch TV?
We watch meet the numbers and meet the mathfacts on utube (we pay for the monthly utube so we are not seeing commercials).
The videos really helped my children to have fun while learning and singing songs.
Thanks for sharing what your doing. Loved the video!

They are allowed to watch a limited amount of TV (and in some seasons of life it's been more than I wanted). We do video learning for Solfa and Spanish, and they have a lot of fun with those! I'm glad learning is delightful to your kiddos!

Hi!!! Have you heard about The CMEC??? I think you would be really interested. Especially the kinderleben program. They have a true CM approach. 💜
