The sad part is that this will not be once in a lifetime storm for the future. I hope people evacuate and hope the it will downgrade.
The pattern of hurricane strength shows most of these powerful storms will be more deadly, more powerful, especially if the Gulf stays at record high temperatures.
How do you know?
Statistics, facts collected over decades shows hurricanes are getting worse/stronger with faster rates of category and winds.
@@JohnnyDelco Global warming. Rising sea temperatures and sea levels results in more powerful storms with more destructive results on landfall.

Yes, it's called consequences. When you vote in people who don't believe in science and climate change so they do nothing or take 💵 from the big corporations who cause the problem this is the end result. This is just the beginning too. Every year it's going to get worse. Scientists have been warning ⚠ us for DECADES. And we still have idiots in Congress who don't believe in climate change. 🤨Guess it's inconvenient when they're cashing those big corporate donor checks from big oil and big coal.

I was driving south on i75 last night. i75 north towards i10 looked like the apocalypse. Traffic was insane heading north. Gas stations on every exit were packed. Hotels were full of people. I got off on the Turnpike, but the the traffic heading north on i75 was stopped for literally 100 miles from i10 to the Turnpike and as far south as I could see down 75.
