Russia has stolen a march on the West in West Africa. Moscow has signed a new Satellite deal with Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso. The three junta-run West African nations have partnered with Russia for security and development projects. Russia's Roscosmos will initially develop 2 satellites with the Alliance of Sahel States, to help combat terrorism and improve communication services in the three countries.

There is this UK Lord Robin Renwick who wrote a book titled, How To Steal A Country: State Capture and Hopes for the Future in South Africa.
