I watched a YT video about [Karavan's Tie Down kit for 5" frame (D-rings with 1/2 x 6 inch bolts)], available at TSC or cheaper if you shop online somewhere else. My 2021 Karavan 5x8 has four predrilled holes on each side with plastic caps on top, but my trailers has 3" frame. So I bought 4-pack of V-ring bolt on anchors and will get some bolts at Lowe's. I didn't even know there were already holes in the trailer for anchors.
I have a 2022 5x8 A-frame tongue Karavan. I bought a Reese A-frame jack which doesn't interfere with my Chevy Tahoe. Maybe I'm old school, since my old 65 mph bass boat's trailer has a similar A-frame type jack, it works just fine too. Of course we don't have Grizzly bears down here, so I'm in no big hurry to get the trailer connected or unconnected.
Amazing, the manufacturer can't make it right. I would say, 95% of people will need to open their tail gate to store and get items they may need. Only know how many people didn't realize it, open their tail gate, especially the electronic ones and destroyed / damaged the TG on a 70,000 truck Hope Karavan engineers address the issue.
I was surprised by it but not totally shocked. I ordered the new jack the day i got the trail. Aside from that, it has been great. It fits my 2 person four wheeler with the snowplow attached perfectly.
