The dish is not having "religious name" but the style of making during eid of Muslims is different; so the name. Payasam made by Tamilians and by Keralites are totally different, so the names! I cooked this recipe today on occassion of Eid and it was one of the most flavorful and satisfying homecooked biryani I've had so far. I made only 2 changes to the recipe:
1. Used chicken instead of mutton.
2. Added 4 hard boiled eggs to the final leg of cooking.
Definitely recommend this!

Don't do over cook 15 to 20 min is enough bcz In this recipe you will already cook the gravy before dhum, and use thicker pan
