About me:
I’m a queer, non-binary, 40-something from Portland, OR USA. I’ve had eczema my whole life and developed rosacea in my 30s. I went a long time feeling like my skin issues were hopeless, and new products never seemed to work. So I’m here to share what I’ve learned! I hope it will connect with people who want to know what products and techniques can actually work for their own skin needs.
Are you my skin twin? Here’s what shades I wear docs.google.com/spreadsheets/... - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
Wear notes: the big surprise is that things started to look extremely dry after a few hours. I suspect this is the result of using that setting spray, so I’ll be sure to try the foundation again without it. The blush lost some vibrance as well, could be due to the same cause. But I will definitely be using many of these products again!
Did you try it again without the setting spray? Was it better? I have very dry "almost 50" skin, but I do use serums and moisturizers under my makeup. Just wondering if not using the setting spray helped it look better at the end of the day?
Not using that setting spray did help, but I think you may find it too fussy. It doesn’t have the qualities that let a product skim over lines and texture rather than emphasizing them.
I also find that it works best when used in a thin layer. Trying to build it up for more coverage creates a drier texture.
I thought at first the colour was too pale, but as you added bronzer and blush it looked just right. You can see it in daylight we’re just looking through the prism of the camera & screen. Really good finished result ❤
I love alot of the elf products, love thier primer, lipstick,so on......Loved the video!
Love that you're reviewing this, can't wait to see what this will be like on you!!!
You chose some beautiful colors. The whole look was very pretty on you. I thought the mascara looked great!
That covers your rosacea well. I initially thought it was too light but now it matches nicely with your neck and hand color.
I think the shade is a little light for you.
I've seen other reviews from ladies with dry skin who didn't get along well with this foundation. I have oily, mature skin and absolutely love it. I reviewed it last week and did a side by side with the flawless satin foundation. Nearly identical. The new one was a little more blurring, I thought. I do think they are discontinuing that one. It was the only elf foundation I could wear prior to this release.
Thank you for this comment. I have dry skin and almost bought it.
Hi Audrey! I have rosacea too, I've kept it at bay with DrDenises glycolic pads thank for the demo!
Thank you for sharing your review 😊
ELF satin foundation in the lovey square glass bottle with a pump, is $6 and so nice! I looked at that crummy little squeezy tube for this product and laughed...lol.
Love it!
I love so many elf products but have never had luck with their foundations. Can’t wait to see your review as someone who also has dry skin
I sympathize! I tried the CC cream when it came out and that was a total disaster.
Also should have said this is one of my favorites.
New here! I have a new channel as well! Thank you for the review ! I just ordered mine and hoping I like it. Can’t wait to watch more of your videos!
Very nice! Greetings from Germany
Hi from NZ. Loved the video.
Thank you!
Definitely too light...Maybe try shade 25😮
Great review! The foundation & Halo glow as a primer looked beautiful on you! ❤
Thank you!
Thought it looked like good everyday make up, would be interested in how long it lasted. hard to find long stay make-up.

Hi there! I have dry skin and rosacea also. I am on day 4 of trying this for my review because everyone seems to love it but so far it is not working well for me. Before I upload my video I wanted to make sure my skin wasn’t dehydrated because I wanted to love it. 😊
I’ll have a short update in my next video because I agree it’s not the easiest formula to work with for dry or mature skin. If you have a hydrating or dewy primer on hand I would give that a shot - what I’m seeing is that it’s very dependent on what it’s paired with.
And I’m always happy to see reviews from folks who have different experiences - everyone’s skin can vary so much 💜 Good luck!
Shade 20 or 21 if you decide to try another shade.
Thanks for the tip!
Hi how are you doing that look very beautiful cover ❤
This shade looked a bit pale on you to my eyes. Did you experience any oxidation? I'm struggling to choose the right fair shade. I'm not usually the fairest of the fair when the line offers a number of fair options, but I feel sure this shade would be too light on me.
No oxidation. You might want to try 13, I think Kelly Gooch is wearing that in her review. For me 11 is good enough once I put bronzer on - I tried it the next day to check.
I wish you would have eye shadow with the look
Colour too light, but finish lovely.
It’s annoying to see these Demos with the ladies pushing their hair constantly. Tie it back. Thanks. But I do appreciate them. Thanks
Always think its so unfortunate to spend so much time and product yet still look so awful at the end.....
