Hey, Edwards! She likes it when you swear, boy!
Yeah, does anyone know what the name of the soundtrack is when he starts the engine up?
The Ottomeme Empire It’s a part of the main theme to Battlefield 1, but I don’t know if it’s a specific variation of the theme that has its own dedicated track.
"The war ended one month later"
That line gives me shivers. You go through this whole slaughter in this story, just seeing people diying left and right, germans and british alike. Your whole crew gets killed. The actual battle of Cambrai had around 80.000 casualties in total. And the war was basically already over. The governments of the Entente and the Alliance had probably already negotiated the ceasefire by this point and were just waiting for the date to come, while their people still killed each other meaninglessly.
war is stupid
concocted by the rich and powerful, fought and bled for by the poor and the young
@@Codex_0613 not alwayd but sure
Codex Concocted by the poor as well. 1 of the main reasons of war is a poor country trying to take over a rich country
Codex not really dude
The entente lead more attacks even when they knew the ceasefire was signed, just to get a bit more land, at that point everyone knew it was over, the diplomats had met and it was signed, but some people know before others and the ones who knew before pushed and lost thousands for nothing more than a few yards

SIMILARITIES OF THE TWO
1. Newbie has a job linked to driving probably replacing a dead crewman
2. Newbies have the same number of letters in their names and both surnames start with letter E
DANIEL EDWARDS
NORMAN ELLISON
3. Newbie's uniform is slightly different to the veteran crew's uniform
4. Tank loader acts like an asshole to newbie in the start but makes friends at the end.
5. Tank goes to action mostly with enemy antitank guns more than enemy tanks
6. Tank gets hit, busts a set of tracks before reaching their objective.
7. Tank is attacked by enemy infantry before it gets fully prepared.
8. In the fight, newbie nearly gets killed by a grenade.
9. Tank commander dies of an explosion inside the tank.
10. Newbie survives.
Except for McManus not being the loader, everything is correct.

7:12 The Carrier Pigeon. An unsung and overlooked hero of the war. It's white feathers showing a symbol of pure hope in a time when pure hope seemed unfathomable. It flies through the devastation and the chaos seemingly unknowing of much how their messages saved so many lives. A true hero.
Give this bird the Dickin Medal! 🏅
I remember reading about a carrier pigeon, which happened to be the very last tool at the Americans disposal. They sent it into the air, the Germans shot it successfully… but it kept going. It made it to its destination, and miraculously survived:
“He had been shot through the breast, blinded in one eye, and had a leg hanging only by a tendon.”
The pigeon was called Cher Ami. French for, “Dear Friend”.
@@XXXTENTAClON227 The Lost Battalion. 1918, the American 77th pushed into the Argonne, told that their flanks were protected by American and French forces. When they got to their objective, they learned the hard way that those forces had stalled miles back, and that they were surrounded. A week of hell; artillery from their own side dropping on them. Cher Ami was their last chance at calling off the friendly fire. As you said, she made it despite damage. General Pershing was eventually able to push back into the Argonne and free whoever was left from the sieged battalion.
Finch was gonna be my favorite character, he's like the young kid in the group who has to do everything for his peers but gets the short end of the stick. His death scene touched me in the feelers. :(
are you sure about that?
He just got shot, not very sad. Also, there was no prior connection to him before his introduction. I think Townsend's death was sadder. He was very kind and looked just like an old man ready to serve his country in the last of his days. Makes me tear up.
That too, but I wanted Finch to live a bit longer. Oh well, you're not expected to survive in a war anyways.
Yeah I also felt bad for Townsend.
yaks True, I felt like he was greedy when he ordered Edwards and McManus to search for spark plugs in the village. At least he did something at the end.

If you wait before triggering the next scene, they sing "Its a long way to Tipperary"
15:34 those first few tries you don’t hear anything from her. But she heard that roar in the final one and responded with her own
8:47 Please tell me I’m not the only one who loves that command of fire and the artillery fire?
You are not the only one. There’s something satisfying about it to me.
The only flaw is the campaign is short, other than that it was a masterpiece. Unlike previous battlefield games such as hardline I didn't give a shit about the characters but in this game I actually gave a shit. I just wish it was longer because the stories were honestly phenomenal. The game is amazing and I was feeling iffy due to it being EA and DICE but this battlefield game all around is really outstanding. They did the best job at showing the horrors of the war and making it realistic to where the game is fun. It may not be 100% accurate with some things but hell they did a pretty damn good job at replicating this war in campaign and multiplayer. I can't see why others would pick cod over this battlefield.

Video games are getting way too real feeling lately, it's more like a history lesson then a game. I couldn't have fun knowing that the events in this game actually happened to these good fellows.
I also had the real feels but I personally love it even if it makes me feel all softy inside. I'm not one that usually gets physically emotional about games but after playing the opening "tutorial" I legit shed tears for how beautifully sad and real it was.
