Uhm - incoming rant. lol Onto the recommendation: "Taras Stanin - The Hills" by the weeknd, and 'I don't wanna know #beatbox"(double reaction). I put those together because they're both short, and they're both kind of the same video just with two different songs. That was the viral thing that you probably saw already on youtube shorts, but to see the whole picture that he creates in the longer version of the videos is worth it. Onto the circus. I'm sure you've already sorted it out on your own, but from left to right: Improver (improover), Andrey GrizzLee (Andrew), Taras Stanin (Tadr-ahs), Vahtang (Watong). Helium (not seen, an original member of Ya Na Ha, is filming this video. Or at least, that's what he said in the comments. Improver appears to be a rotating fifth member, added for this song only so far.) Improver is just one of the greatest in the world. He's known for being extremely loud, and his sub bass is top tier. He has a lot of videos online to enjoy. He and Taras Stanin are sort of like best buds. They are a tag-team, and they stream a lot together online. Andrei GrizzLee extremely passionate vocalist and beatboxer. Honestly, I don't know much about him yet. But I do listen to his music (which is in Russian). He has the widest array of produced music on the internet (among them), which makes his ambition impossible to argue with. He and Vahtang are in a tag team, and they have made a number of fantastic projects together. Taras Stanin is the vanguard in the process of shifting the Russian beatbox scene into the global mainstream, or at least, he's trying to. He's made it pretty clear that his goal is to show people that beatboxing is music. He's said that most beatboxers only get better at beatboxing to impress other beatboxers, and the sound ends up being too obscure or focused to be entertaining. So, putting his extraordinary audio production to use, and his highly trained vocals, he's making really marketable projects with the heart and soul of a plucky rebel. He's also rumoured to be one of the loudest beat boxers on the planet. Vahtang appears to be the Godfather of the Russian beatbox scene, as far as I can tell from the outside looking in (I'm from Washington state and don't speak Russian). It feels to me like a lot of the techniques that these guys are exceptional at were done by Vahtang first (he's older), and the rest of the guys respected him as they came up through the scene, learned from him, expounded, etc. I don't credit Vahtang for all of the talents that these men have. I just mean to say that he's the most experienced, and likely the most influential. No suprise here, but he is extremely loud. "I'm the crazy-loudest person that you've ever seen." Helium (unseen in the video) is probably, pound for pound, the most celebrated beatboxer among them. He places high in the tournaments consistently. And his technical skills are truly out of this world. They all have FANTASTIC videos to react to. Enjoy the Russian Power!!
