Ambient is the colour of all the object found in your game so if you put it white, the colour of the objects won't be changed, if you set it red for example, the colour of all the objects will shift to red. Brightness is the intensity of the light comming from the moon or sun. ColorShiftBottom will apply it's colour to surfaces that are facing the other way of the sunlight or moonlight. ColorShiftTop is the colour of the light comming from the moon or sun. EnvironmentDiffuseScale will diffuse the skybox onto objects. EnvironmentSpecularScale will reflect the skybox onto objects. GlobalShadows are the shadows made by the moon or sun. OutdoorAmbient is like Ambient but it doesn't affect the colours of any objects indoors, it works with voxels so it's not precise. Technology is the type of lighting your game uses, each one has it's pros and cons. ClockTime and TimeOfDay are the same, they control the time and works by a 24h cycle. GeographicLatitude will change the position of celestial bodies. FogColor is the colour of the fog, fog is a radial gradient comming from your camera to outdwards, it always starts invisible and ends with a colour you set. FogStart is how far in studs the fog will begin, FogEnd is how far in studs the fog will end. ExposureCompensation is the brightness of the entire game. For colorcorrection, i don't recommend setting the saturation value other than 0 as it will decrease the amount of colours you can use. Instead of doing that, change the colours of your objects found in your game. Contrast is only good to make lights smoother. I never find bloom nice, i always set the thershold to max.
It's definitely useful to have multiple devices to test, or otherwise to ask some friends to help you out and maybe share their screens! For example I have a gaming laptop that I bring to my nephews' place to play Roblox and its screen runs darker in general. On many games that overuse shadows it's very hard to see, thankfully most of those allow to turn them off.
thank You so much!!! the information is very util, the interface and configuration is so similar like unity or unreal engine, but with this video I can modify much better the paremeters!
Hi! Glad I can help with my vids! I just reccomend starting with whatever comes to mind. Don’t second guess it. My video here is about how to get ideas for builds if you want an in depth explaination of how to get ideas for builds but it all comes down to just making whatever and having fun with it! m.th-cam.com/video/rrfm90Ch4u4/w-d-xo.html
@@SmartyRBX okay, thanks! By any chance do you have any plugins you use for Roblox studio? I have a few, oh and I'm not sure how to breakdown a reference. I mean as in like what part to use or where to place that
@@KhiGuy Well you can start out by just copying it exactly, you wanna look at each piece, like the windows, walls, door, etc as separate parts of the same build. Its a skill you build up. For plugins I plan on making videos on some of my favorites, but I reccomend Building tools by F3X, ResizeAlign, Model Resize, Reflect, Waterfall Generator
@@SmartyRBX thanks once more! My motivation to do stuff like this turns off and on randomly so I go back to your videos and a few others to remember or get an idea, but what about the back of a build? Since the reference is probably a jpg
@@KhiGuy well you gotta imagine it! Or find a picture of the back of a similar building.. Or just copy the front of the building and just take off the door which is what I do all the time 😅. For motivation I recommend: making sure you have goals set, for example do you wanna make a game someday? Do you want to earn x amount of robux? I’d also say music is a good way to get motivated especially if it reminds you of your main goals🔥
I personally prefer the grass and stuff to look dull like my game is full of clouds and fog and it’s raining it also makes the game look more realistic in my opinion
You used DOF wrong. Your not meant to increase both properties to its highest, which Is why the blue breaks a bit. This also requires high graphics and doesn’t work on mobile
everytime i do this, i publish to roblox, i save it, I do everything but everytime I close the studio and i open it again my game looks trash again and again
I’m sorry to hear that, did you try doing the exact settings in the video? You can feel free to check out the game link in the description you can copy it there it’s uncopylocked.
When you was talking about the clouds, i've noticed that my game has already auto clods, but they don't move and i'm not eable to edit them becase they are not showing on the explore area, and i'm not even eable to add moving/editable clouds. If you know what i can do pls tell me
Hey Man I need help again because my Roblox Tools don’t show even though I put them in the starter pack. It’s named handle and I did all the important stuff to work but it won’t Show. Even if it was a free tool from toolbox it still won’t show
1. Check and make sure it is Unanchored, has to be unanchored or it will not work 2. Make sure it’s not fully transparent 3. Make sure that the handle is a direct child of the tool object. Not in a model, or anything else, has to be in the tool 4. Make sure HasHandle is checked in properties of the tool (it might be called that might be UseHandle or something, either way make sure it’s checked) 5. If nothing works try changing properties of the tool one by one, and testing then turning back if no change, and doing the same thing with each script in the tool by deleting it and undoing if no change 6. Make sure no scripts in your game clear your players inventory or StarterPack

This is a game changer! Literally! I'm so excited to try these settings, I had no idea there were so many. Thank you. 😀
I remember what the graphics use to be like back in 2012 and 2013, its crazy to see how developed and advanced the lighting as become as of now
now i know why my boblocc game looks like a graveyard
But mine looks like it rained for a month and it left a super dense fog

Im gonna be honest with you, you make some of the best tutorials on roblox. Thank you for these!
Very helpful tutorial. My map looks so much better thanks to your advice!

Wow,youre such an inspiration to everyone! your tutorials are so helpful thanks for sharing them!
You should do a tutorial on weather like rain, thunderstorms and snow.

ngl, blur is a pretty awesome effect if you know how to use it!
Holy, I didn't know Dynamic Clouds was a feature before, I just thought it was released on 2023.

Thanks glad I could help!! Sorry I get too many friend requests but I reccomend joining my discord server I'm on there frequently
@@SmartyRBX ok smarty I’ll join ur discord !
my animations will be sick now
Thanks
Welcome
The fact that my name is smarty too 😮
Hey smarty can you please add better time stamps? btw nice vid!
For some reason adjusting the lighting and I think every setting doesn’t work for me. I go to change it and the game stays the same
Weird make sure your studio graphics are up and your Lighting Technology isn’t set to compatibility
thank
I prefer the "before" in thumbnail than the "after"
Can ya tell me how to make the lighting like the "before"?
Depends on the game for sure. Just get a flat baseplate in studio. All these settings can be tweaked how you like to improve it
Im making a lobby for my game and its in a box and when i looked inside it was SO DARK 😭
I'm a bit confused, I don't see any sun rays no matter what I try, great video though.
I was wondering what sky you use?
Can you do an tutorial for making group adds and banners?
He's made videos on that, check some playlists.
Hey im trying to make a space game with moveing 3d planets but i cant get the lighting to come from the sun
At night time how do you make the lighting look good?
If idk blender. I just use free models as temporary till i get blender or i decide to build.
Suupposed to comment on the previous episode but i forgot to pause.
And you can use free models and scripts. Just as long they dont have a virus.
Yeah that’s fine if you match it up well
Do the lightning effects make the game laggy?
No, it just makes you game the opposite of a graveyard
@@w_4.izzy_editzz I mean, it does look better but for it to look like a graveyard you also would need certain effects
Hey Smarty! For me when your telling us to see the properties nothing happens and im not too sure why.

This is because your sky has clouds, if you use the toolbox to find a new skybox without clouds and delete your old sky in lighting it should help

Try to be more natural
Elaborate please is there a specific part where I can improve?
You aren’t qualified to teach this, acting like you are is gonna do more wrong than good.
What do you mean 💀
I’ve used lighting for years
