I picked up the Leatherman Blast in 2010. It came with a Micra, all for $30. It still goes to work with me. Time for another but know I'll be paying a lot more.

Agreed; though I find the wave is too bulky for my taste and I would prefer the wingman over it.

Im very happy with my sidekick . Small, light, has everything I need, Its always on my hip with a Tale of Knives leather multitool holster.

Wave is so much better. All what is missing on sidekick and I am using alot: diamond file, micro screw driver, bit driver. Need to fix a bicycle -> bit driver with several imbuses. Need to sharpen hook/fix a door lock squeeze -> diamond file. Need to fix glasses, or dismantle watch/calculator -> micro driver.

I have the Charge TTi+ in s30v and also the Sidekick; both are great multitools. However, I'd say the standard Wave+ is a better buy than the Charge, tbh. Thanks for this comparison and Cheers!

Another similar tool is the Bolster, sold only in Costco. Take a look. I love it.

I have both of them for long time ago, in my personal opinion I think the stainless steel in the sidekick is more high quality than the Wave

I used to carry a sidekick all the time but the past year I have been carrying the Surge. The Sidekick is plenty capable for most edc tasks. I was never a big fan of the Wave. I have a couple but I don't care for it.

No ninja sound when cutting...Oh no....Say it ain't so....Yep, the muti tools do have their place as I carry in my computer bag daily the Surge which is a beast for multi tools....I like the Wave and such because they are lighter and more ideal for me....Good stuff....
