Rich is to Jordan as Mat is to Lebron. Sure, they're both all time greats, maybe the 2 best ever. But Mat never had that competitive meanness that Rich had. And anyone that wins now will be met with a shrug and a pat on the back.
Rich also dominated before everything wasn't so streamed-lined, information, nutrition, and an Olympic lifting background. They both have amazing stories, but they don't compare at all. The sport was different for both time frames. Rich's fingerprints are all over CrossFit; Matt, unfortunately, could not be what Rich was, nor should he try.
