I’m going to go live right after part 3 is posted. So if you want to watch and give your thoughts in real time, pay attention to when part 3 is posted… Last Video: th-cam.com/video/2-yjGrc1qUE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ylXQZO2QVizVV3b5
Couple tippies: 1. There’s a big path to more areas in undead burg/by the dragon that you haven’t seen yet. Goes down. 2. A lot more to explore in the forest area. There’s a hidden bonfire you ran past near the big magic door. 3. Explore around the fire link shrine bonfire
These are all good tips. 1. There is an optional bonfire directly underneath the dragon, but you kinda already did most of that area for now - the suggestion above is to go in the opposite direction (towards where you met Solaire) 2. So many routes in the forest, save the butterfly for later and explore. And yes - the optional bonfire there is to the left of the magic door that’s for much later in the game. 3. Yup. The hub area contains multitudes (don’t need to fight the skelly again yet).
If you wait by the wall the fire from the dragon can't hit you and eventually he lands on the bridge (you can also cut his tail off to get the drake sword ( i think it's called that it's been awhile) it's a really good sword early game Moonlight butterfly will float closer to the bridge after a few attacks allowing you to get hits in on its head You need to get to blightown next Love the vids don't give up
The drake sword comment is fr best advice man. This weapon will carry you through 1/2 the game until you get enough titanite to make a better weapon. I did a strength build to carry a big ass shield with me to survive combos and safely circle enemies for back stabs.
For stamina regen you can get a shield in darkroot basin near a black knight or you can get a mask dropped by a boss in the catacombs, the boss is pretty weak but the area is really rage inducing, get a divine weapon when you go down there
sounds like you already filmed part 3, so maybe you already figured this out. but you should have picked up a key in the area by the halberd. if you take the time to read the item description, it describes what door it unlocks. it's kind of a hint about where to go next after gargoyles.
Talimasns are used to cast miracles, Lloyd's talismans are used in pvp to block other players from healing and to take mimics' loot without aggroing them Also the moonlight butterfly has multiple attack "cycles" she attacks for a while and then she lands on the railing in the middle of the bridge where you can melee hit her (she takes a lot of damage but also deals a shit ton of damage you are underlevelled)
Tips against Moonlight Butterfly: Get a shield and block the projectiles , or just roll and use the fog gate wall(where you enter) as a shield between you and the boss to block it's attacks After attacking a few times she'll come down to rest that's where you switch to 2 handed and start swinging "Zoolander" at it up until you see a glowing blue orb starting to form in her chest then you back up so you won't get hit by the AoE blast damage
In this game some times a shield is the best option. I dont use it in my normal playtrought bit i.e for the moonlight butterfly or bosses that have auto aimed attacks it comes in handy
the halberd is primarily a dexterity weapon the zweihander is both a strength and dexteroty weapon, with slightly better dexterity scaling than strength despite the weapon showing a C in strength and a D in dexterity. Using a calculator the damage soft caps at 30 strength and 40 dexterity you can tap B to slide down ladders you CAN buy titnaite shards from andre the blacksmith (the buff dude with a hammer) sometimes you need to manually aim throwing items like firebombs iirc under 25 percent equip load is fast roll you should stream next time we would love to assist you
It hurts to hear you pronounce zweihander as "Zoolander" xD but for some tips maybe if you want a strength build try the claymore? It's supposed to be on the bridge on a corpse where the red dragon is. It's not an ultra greatsword like the zweihander but a greatsword so it's a bit faster and uses a bit less stamina.
If you want to do some good damage but not be as slow as the "Zoolander" you should get the claymore. Upside is that it's move set is great for nearly anything. The downside is you're going to have to die to the dragon on the bridge. Just throw on that knight armor you got. And pick up all the loot on the bridge. There is no reallocation stats in the first dark souls. So remember that. Otherwise your doing fine from what you've shown
Honestly dude using the Zweihander as a DS1 newbie is not good, you're not gonna be used to the slow swings and lots of enemies strike faster. Even me who's played it for more than a decade has to rely on constant rolling to evade attacks after swinging so slowly with the Zweihander.
Buy a bow and arrows from the merchant in Undead Parish. There’s a safe spot to snipe the dragons tail off. It will fly away once the tail gets shot off. I think it takes like 50 shots, the sword will automatically go in your inventory.
@@balance4724The shield is so fucking good, it's the Grass Crest Shield. You find it in the Darkroot Basin. How to get there: Close to the part where you found the first "plant man", you just go to the right, and there you are. Explore the area and you'll find it. The shield is close to a Black Knight. The Drake Sword is definetly not close to one of the strongest swords of the game (not bad early tho), if you pick it, it will only serve you for the early game. Idk if it's worth the hassle of getting it, depends on you. You will need to buy arrows (50 iirc) but buy more, since you'll miss some
@@AlecRifeThe Undead Merchant is on Undead Burg, close to the bonfire, hidden down on the part where there are 2 shield & spear hollows. Roll on the boxes to reveal the passage. You are not supposed to kill the dragon, you'll have a rough time. The safe place he is talking about (to cut his tail with bow & arrows), is on the part close to the rats, down the dragon bridge.
I must clarify this. The drake sword is fine from the red drake on the bridge. But it gets zero scaling. It's great early game but will become trash later.
The optimal is to keep it unlocked so you can move the cam freely and dodge properly, and locking it right before attacking so you don't have as big of a chance to miss the hit if you're bad. Then unlock again imediatly after your hit window endss to dodge again
@balance4724 remember that big knight with the Greatsword above the tower, that's one and the other Greatsword black knight is in the catacombs, humanity increases your item drop chance soo you might wanna have a bit more of them, but once you either buy or get a demon's greataxe from Taurus demons, trust me you'll never need anything else 👍

@@gman8877 I guess there’s going to be a lot of exploration next video, thanks 🙏

The run back to the seath fight is gonna kill him
Hopefully ill adapt to this game where i wont get annoyed :)
congrats on your Bell Gargoyle win! You improved so much from the last video! :D
Thanks I just finished recording the next video and im starting to like this game....
0:31 "This Zoolander does good damage"
Yep

I just finished filming part 3 and it was very relaxing when fighting that butterfly
@balance4724 excited man was excited to see you uploaded after along shift at work lol
@ half I could provide entertainment. part 3 tomorrow… spoiler: something extremely weird happens at the beginning…

You're doing great, my friend! Keep at it! :D
Oh yeah 👍
You can buy titanite shards from the smith and the moonlight butterfly comes down for abit after a few attacks
Thanks that's very helpful 👍
7:38 It floats down ;)
Thanks ill wait next time
For stamina regen you can get a shield in darkroot basin near a black knight or you can get a mask dropped by a boss in the catacombs, the boss is pretty weak but the area is really rage inducing, get a divine weapon when you go down there
I’ll keep that in mind thanks 🙏🤑

I think I might have been under leveled for her fight 😩. It was fine, it’s just the fight was very long.

Thanks for the tips. I did already film part 3 so I already defeated the butterfly but I think I’m going to switch to claymore instead of big Z
Amazing brother
Thanks 🙏
1:38 guys i think he's starting to believe.
OH YEAH
In this game some times a shield is the best option. I dont use it in my normal playtrought bit i.e for the moonlight butterfly or bosses that have auto aimed attacks it comes in handy
Nice. I use one in part 3 for butterfly. Part 3 up soon today…

I was thinking streaming might be a good idea. I’ll make an announcement at the start of next video when I will stream. 😩🙏
Shoot the dragons tail with a bow then to get past run fast to the bonfire
Oh when filming part 3 I tanked to fire and just ran past. I guess there was a easier way :(

Yeah i switched next video...
hey you doing good.. and u should cut dragon tail its give u one of strongest swords in game and there's a shield speed stamina recovery
Ok, how am i suppose to kill that giant thing though????? Please let let me know!!!!!!!!!! 😂

when you're locked on to an enemy in ds1 you can only roll in 4 directions, which feels clunky so most people just dont lock on

ill have to look that sword up

There are more Greatsword knights out there but these are the two locations I remember :)
