I'm even surprised he still speaks romanian. People shouldn't force him to use romanian in public because is kind of rude to speak in a way that no one else understands, and he pointed that out at the end.

His mom raised him 100% romanian, he's still speaking with the part of his family that stayed in romania, he speaks romanian with his dad and godmother even tho they've been living in america even longer than him and i don't know if you've noticed but he makes a lot of grammar mistakes in english and sometimes he gets confused, still. I was using a tripod. Works great for stability, but has the downside of taking up more leg space and hard to pivot or stand up with (as you can tell when the crowd stands up or when playing the intro clip). I figured a steady shot during the bulk of the panel was more important. :)

One more follow up if you don't mind: do you think the cons of having a tripod that had less mobility and swivel capability are still better than having a monopod that may have less of a footprint and more swivel, but might be less steady? (I'm considering all three in my purchase, the tripod which I already have, the monopod, and the steadycam. Again thank you for your time, and thank you for providing amazing footage of Sebastian Stan (if he's not at comicon 2k16 I'm gonna bawl)
+Megan Hurwitt A steadycam would be great if you're walking around a lot while recording (which you wouldn't be for panels). The monopod is hard to keep steady for 50min at a time, so I'd still recommend the tripod. You just want to be considerate of others and not put the camera up past head height, not put the tripod in the aisles, and not block the view of people behind you. I tried to pick places that fit all these criteria, even if it wasn't as optimal for recording. My Vic Mignogna video is an example where I recorded from the far back of the room (people could walk in front of the camera) but gave me great mobility and height.

He is so smart and kind, and his answers are always so well-thought off, that it really is sad when they don't give him a chance to talk. Whether that is interviewers or co-stars, they should just let him show his true colors instead of drowning him. Also, you can really tell that these fans love him cause all the questions were so DAMN GOOD, way better than what most interviewers ask him.

+MariaSandraC He's not really a foreigner anymore (he lived majority of his life in the US), and I'm sure he's more confortable speaking english than he is speaking romanian. I'm even surprised he still speaks romanian. People shouldn't force him to use romanian in public because is kind of rude to speak in a way that no one else understands, and he pointed that out at the end.
@@Liope012 2 years later but i'm gonna say it anyway: i have never heard him say "i'm american", he always says "I'M ROMANIAN" he's always speaking about romania and even tho he's spent the marjory of his life here in the states, he grew up with his mother. His mom forced him to speak the language so he wouldn't forget it. His mom raised him 100% romanian, he's still speaking with the part of his family that stayed in romania, he speaks romanian with his dad and godmother even tho they've been living in america even longer than him and i don't know if you've noticed but he makes a lot of grammar mistakes in english and sometimes he gets confused, still. I don't think is rude, he actually said back in april that he loves when people makes the effort to speak to him in his native language. Plus: the charity he is involved the most is from, guess where? Exactly.. Romania.

I was using a tripod. Works great for stability, but has the downside of taking up more leg space and hard to pivot or stand up with (as you can tell when the crowd stands up or when playing the intro clip). I figured a steady shot during the bulk of the panel was more important. :)
Thank you so much for answering. One more follow up if you don't mind: do you think the cons of having a tripod that had less mobility and swivel capability are still better than having a monopod that may have less of a footprint and more swivel, but might be less steady? (I'm considering all three in my purchase, the tripod which I already have, the monopod, and the steadycam. Again thank you for your time, and thank you for providing amazing footage of Sebastian Stan (if he's not at comicon 2k16 I'm gonna bawl)
+Megan Hurwitt A steadycam would be great if you're walking around a lot while recording (which you wouldn't be for panels). The monopod is hard to keep steady for 50min at a time, so I'd still recommend the tripod. You just want to be considerate of others and not put the camera up past head height, not put the tripod in the aisles, and not block the view of people behind you. I tried to pick places that fit all these criteria, even if it wasn't as optimal for recording. My Vic Mignogna video is an example where I recorded from the far back of the room (people could walk in front of the camera) but gave me great mobility and height.

For anyone wondering about the Romanian conversation the woman introduces herself (and I think she had a friend because two different people say "my name is"). Seb asks if she's from Romania, and she says no but that she'd lived there for about a year and a half. He thanks her for coming, and says that he hasn't been to Romania since 2003 but would like to go over the summer. She offers that they go together (which is adorable BTW) and he tells her that Civil War is going to be a great movie before remarking that the crowd doesn't know anything he's saying. Then it's just "thank you" and "you're welcome" ;)
