4:53 U should have lbf and not just lb. Important when cancelling units in Reynolds Number where 1 slug is 1 (lbf s^2)/ft. Besides a lack of Units in explanation, its perfect!
Thanks for your comment. In general, when units are given only as "pounds" without specifying force or mass, it is assumed that the unit is referring to pound force.
Isnt the specific roughness for PVC 5x10-6 ft not 5x10-7 ft as indicated in your calcs. This affected the moody chart. I was not getting the same friction factor as you when using your numbers for the moody chart.
When V in the equation is subsituted with Q/A, there is a lot of calcualtions skipped to get to the simplfied equation at 7.56 minutes. This is crucial to the whole video. everything else in this vid is very clearly done in a step by step format. there is a massive jump when subbing in Q/A. i dont get the equation when i tried it. Can you put up a link for this please, would love to download it. Excellant video otherwise.
what diameter of single pipe do I need to distribute water to 4 bathroom showers through four pipes of 0.5 inch diameter such that pressure is same in all bathrooms showers. Assuming the length and other properties of all pipes to be same.
Thank you so much for this explanation. I'm currently working for a mechanical engineering firm and can confirm everything in this video is correct.

It's assumed you are teaching complete idiots through this video

Yeah i am stuck on that part also

Thanks for this good explanation
hello, I want to ask if you know any web site where download the software "Pipe flow expert". can you help me?
thank you
This is actually a problem we face at work
