This is the first “timing job” I’ve seen for these cars on TH-cam. Can’t find a good descriptive video like this.

Thank you for this great video. I just learned a lot.....
I just bought my first ecoboost 2017 Mustang... and u love it . This is the nicest Mustang i have ever owned..
My last Mustang, which was t boon 4 weeks ago was a 2013 fast back V6 cyclone engine ...
I just found your video ... and now I understand how a ecoboost engine is built....
I am looking forward to all your other videos.
I am a sponge just want to learn more and all about my engine . And how too keep it running for a long time ...
    I am open for advice.
Again thank you .I really got a lot out of your video ..
Have a great day, and God Bless

This is amazing! Sharing the knowledge! I'd love to say I'd give building a try, but better left to the professionals! EMS FTW!!!

thank you for this excellent video, I have owned a mustang ecoboost since 2017 and I am very happy to learn about this engine. I have a question for you: I would like to renew the coolant and I would like to know if there is a drain on the engine block (in addition to that of the radiator) because if I am not mistaken when you drain only from the bottom of the radiator you do not completely remove the liquid. If you had a diagram a photo or a video on this At this point I will be very interested and will be grateful to you.
    Thank you so much.

Have you ever used or looked into using the regular n/a ford focus head on an ecoboost block? I’m going down that road for my st and wanted to see if u had insights

    • @engineeredmotorsportsolutions

yes, and it is possible, but you will lose the vacuum pump, have a different HPFP housing, and be liited to the OEM cams the came in that cylinder head or custom made heads.

Thanks for your video, i rebuilt my 2.3 2016 mustang and engine wont start, i have no spark, scanner says crank fueling disabled and it says ckp and cmp not synchronization, please help and advice greatly appreciated. Engine sounds great cranking i followed all of your video. Would be great to show the crank pulley install.

    • @engineeredmotorsportsolutions
      @engineeredmotorsportsolutions  ปีที่แล้ว

Did you use the special tool to time the engine and the special tool to set the crank position sensor? It’s also a good idea to reset the ecu as well.
Our pullies are keyed, so they only go on 1 way.

does it matter which position you install the chain in? i’ve seen some people say it doesn’t matter and some people say that the black link should be facing out

On OEM phasers does it matter where they are when setting the timing before putting the timing chain on and torquing the cam bolts down?

Man I want to build one so bad…..buying one outright would put a dent in my pocket. You guys have everything I would need to start from a naked short block and end up with a full motor?
