[4K] The Brooke Gallery, Fort Margherita, Kuching

  • Fort Margherita is situated on the north bank of the Sarawak river. Built in 1879 by Charles Brooke, Rajah of Sarawak and named after his wife, Margaret Alice Lili de Windt (Ranee Margaret). It was build to guard Kuching's river from pirates.
    The three-storey fort now houses The Brooke Gallery, showcasing rare memorabilia of the Brooke era and Sarawak history.
    Outside the fort is the Brooke's family graveyard, buried there are:
    Captain John Brooke Johnson Brooke's first wife Annie Grant Brooke (Died 1858). their three-year old son Francis Basil Brooke.
    Captain. Johnson Brooke's second wife, Julia Caroline Welstead Brooke (Died 1862).
    Anthony Walter Dayrell Brooke, Rajah Muda of Sarawak (Died 2 March 2011)

    Kubu ini terletak bersebelahan Dewan Undangan Negeri Sarawak di tebing sungai Sarawak.
    Makam di luar kubu adalah makam keluarga Brooke.

    23:35 I'm surprised that you didn't open the door 😂 I went there a few days ago. I open the door and I was shocked, It smells really bad if I'm not wrong it got human bones in there 💀

      @@Goplaces1979 haha actually I was scared too 🤣 I saw my friend's face after she saw what's inside and then I got a bad feeling about it so I opened it, take a glimpse at it and then close the door real quick XD
