You know, you think you enjoy a song until you've played that song for hours trying to get the FC. After about a week I seriously thought it was never meant to be, but here we are.
Seriously though playing this song feels incredible, this song goes great with this game.
I'll have to play a more happy song after this one.

yea that wasnt a 100%. Each block you swing gain points based of the arc of the swing. A full combo dosent grant you 100%. The scoring is about how good you hit the blocks.
@@akselrosales he wasnt really precise with his hits and he didnt follow through. he just kinda touched the hitbox and stopped which is less points than if you kept going. and he probably had no fail on which takes 50% of his score away but they changed it a little two months ago

It was the random flailing during the neutral blocks that did it. The game judges accuracy as well as blocks cut. He was cutting sloppily, so he got a bad score.

@@thestressbecomesrealhere1116 no, because it counts hits, and the accuracy of those hits. He coulda gottwn a much higher score with accurate hits. As it stands he was just going for fc, which to be frank is hard enough on it's own.
He deserves an A for this anyways tho. Awesome job!

This map is really old, buts its basically a textbook of all things not to do when making a map... There are blind blocks, double directionals, two middle walls, bomb walls, extended squats, and no arrow spam everywhere....
I do not envy this player for committing to this map.. it hurt to watch..
I agree with this other dude, I play beat saber myself and this map is the actual worst-developed map I have ever seen.

Sunny Hill those are custom tracks people just make tracks that don't utilize the scoring system and just make it about accuracy so that if you miss you fail.
They ain't so fun tracks though better ones are the ones anywhere yäwhere you have more swing
You gotta get full swings to get 100+ points per slash. Ive been going through all the base songs to get SS rank on all of them. It is a fucking workout. So far Normal Mode is the best I can do SS rank on.

@@cladstrife17 the max would be ss, but in this game you get from 1 to 100 depending on how long your swing was and from 0/1 to 15 depending on how close to the centre you hit,but c is really low for a full combo

TheMilkshakeGamer I used to play rock band guitar on expert so yeah I get how it would be easier as it goes. Muscle memory is a big part of it though because your muscles have to learn to react that fast based on the visual cues. Still impressive for sure

alex heinz Then again, the scoring system was designed for the base Beat Saber songs too, which had nothing near to the levels of rapid swings demanded by this song. The game itself simply hasn’t been designed around such “compact” sets of notes.
I cannot even begin to imagine how people do this sort of stuff, I'd probably get confused and kick myself in the face...

@@zeldafanatic100 It's not really that much memorization in the sense that you're memorizing every note coming up. It's experience. After playing long enough, your brain learns to see patterns in the notes and translate that into adjusting body weight distribution and hand motion as chunks of information. If there's something off in the pattern from what you're familiar with, then you really only have to think about the parts that are different. And once you play a song a couple times, then your brain learns those patterns as well. But at no point when I'm playing a level like this am I thinking "Okay, next block is a red up swing in position 2, then a blue down swing position 4." Actually, if I were to do that, I'd probably mess up. I play best when I don't think and just let my brain do its thing.

Score also depends on how close to the center of the block you hit, how much you follow through with your hit, and I think the angle you hit it with too.
