if only AB rod present then center of mass is at C point mid of AB rod.
and if only CD rod present then centre of mass is at mid point of CD rod, L/2 from D point.
As both rod present then centre of mass will upward near the AB rod then the centre of mass is bewteen L/2 to L from D point, so the answer will be 3L/4 by using the given option.
3 is correct because the com slides to higher mass side ,if we not considere the horizontal rod then we get the com at L/2 ,so the answer is bigger than L/2 and smaller than L so the right answer is 3L/4
Center of mass when only AB rod is present is at C (mid point of AB rod)
Center of mass when only CD rod is present is at L/2 from D
Both rods are present, then center of mass is between L/2 and C with respect to D
So through option elimination answer will be 3L/4
Option (3) distance between com exactly centre from D point distance L/2 and both will be mass from same then calculate the answer presence of mind .
(3) option The distance of center of mass from D is 3L/4
When we see the geometry we would get an idea that it's on the vertical rod somewhere and as the another rod is placed horizontal it would be near to the horizontal rod on the vertical rod.
Option (1) 0 has no chances as it represents the point D.
Option (2) It would not be the answer as it's too near to point D.
Option (3) ANSWER [A point which is most probably the com compared to the other options]
Option (4) Com would not lie on the junction of horizontal and vertical rod geometrically.
