    So a tip for DIY-ers: CRIMP, DO NOT SOLDER. If you solder a crimped connector the heat form soldering quenches the metal and decreases the friction between the copper and the terminal. Either solder or crimp, never both. Also soldering is ill-advised in any kind of automotive environment since vibrations can cause brittle solder to fail.

    Great work. You should look at fitting an active cell balancer. I use them on all my high power batteries and the version I use will deliver up to 5A balancing current out of the average even during use, and they maintain cells within 1mV of each other. The only downside is they do have a slight draw at all times, so I keep the packs in storage charge when not being used by using a small boost module dialled in to 50% charge voltage (3.7V/Cell x S count) with just a 1A plug pack to maintain that required voltage. I also add a tiny audible low voltage alarm which has saved me once when the plug was knocked out.
    Cheers.

    hey Daniel! I suspect that your controller needs to go through the self-learning mode again because the Hall position is no longer correct.
    I also think that a lot more power can be extracted from the motor
    look at the power from my buggy, and that is only at 60 volts.
    hey and be careful with that battery! if you get too much imbalance your battery can catch fire and everything is gone!
    all in all a very cool thing!

    You make a fairly heavy bike look somewhat graceful. What are your next plans for the bike? A little debugging and some fine adjustments is probably about all it needs to be a reliably fun and useful bike

    I use a controller that doesn't use the hall effects cencers. Be a good unit to have on hand for testing. Looking forward to seeing the beach testing.

      Can you do that? Is that how those rc motors work?

  • @Erroct1
    @Erroct1 2 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

    You could run it sensorless. Motors have back emf and u can read position with that. Depends if controller supports it. Hall sensor always be breaking man

    Might be an idea to springload the battery and the control unit so they don't get the hard pushes. So that they are not tight connected to the frame, well I think you get it ;-))

      The battery and bms are in a padded enclosure. I’m not sure how much vibration everything can take a big learning curve

    • @DktheWelder

    Us standart car battery and capciator. . Easy variant your motorcycles project. Well us little battery ok compact. Later time little battery energy defects. Again rebuild . But easy us car battery energy. View size your e motorcycle frame . Little battery not cheap and rebuild time home 😂😂. Test us car battery . Ok weight car battery but good project for e motorcycles system . Make strong electronic generator & battery energy systems power transformator. Drive generator upload energy back . This later time Dakar dune rally cross versia. Good project 😎👍
