ahri misses when on land because it attacks halfway through its actual attack animation (since the attack animation is longer than 1 second aka the bite cooldown), so the middle head of ahri is in the that bite animation and is really low to the ground making the hitbox either really low or under the ground, so tdlr you should try looking up when fighting on the ground
