It should be an official album with this type of versions. Fuel, Blackened, Disposable Heroes, All Within My Hands, If Darkness Had A Son, Nothing Else Matters, Creeping Death, Now That We’re Dead. Almost one song per album.
@@ChainsawReacts after the last two albums i think they kind of need a change. i'd love to see a more focused and modernized Load infused with 2020s Metallica. I think Inamorata is a great example of what a 21st Century load album could be.
I think it went something like this: James: "I want Fuel on the setlist" (because of course he does) Lars: "You know we can't do pyrotechnics in that venue!" James: "Ok, well let's rewrite it into a a dirty blues version so I can play that new country/blues guitar I just got!"
I remember watching a MetonTour video about 15-20 years ago of them joking around with the idea of slowing down songs later in their careers... turns out it wasn't a joke lol
I am also hearing this for the first time. I love when other bands make a new rendition of an original song but for the original band to do it to their own song is insanely awesome!
I would argue that they were inspired by "The Warning" and the way those 3 sisters have broken down Enter Sandman and made it their own. Personally, this is very cool. 🤘🔥🇨🇦
A friend of mine was there (he actually predicted Low Man's Lyric would be on the setlist). He called this the Swamp Version, I don't know if that's the official designation or just his nickname for it
Amazing! The riff gives me chills every time. Interesting theory about the new album's direction btw. Leaving this comment here if you called it for the future. About the Fuel I think they were plotting it for a while now, since this tour has started. They teased a bit this summer when I was on their live. They always leave me satisfied and smiling.. Coming up - Low man's lyric.
It just a rarety version and that's it, is like the acoustic Blackened version they did while the pandemic. Maybe they could release an entire album of heavy songs been played like that. I would buy it.
My Thoughts on this New Version of Fuel is for their upcoming new album i think, like try to face it on audience if they okay with it or not, like what they do from 1995 2x4 and Devils Dance. So if the entire album is southern metal rock country, because of this new version fuel appearance, then i would love it.
Going for a Sad But True vibe, but without the distortion/heavyness. Trying to be heavy without distortion seems not very metal, but I do play thrash on my acoustic for jollies. Hmm.
Hey, the song If Darkness Had a Son was played in the same way as Fuel, with an acoustic and new arrangement. It would be great if you could react to that as well.
Any other thrash band would've been dragged through the mud for doing something like this, and here are the Metallica fanboys. Litterally eating up everything they do.
Might has well call this Refuel.. Its a neat rendition, they all sound very well doing it but this song, I see no purpose for it to be played in this style. Maybe Bad seed but not Fuel.
Low Man’s Lyric live 2024 reaction tomorrow!
Brill
Best Performance of the night IMO! excited to see your reaction
Yes!
Every year James realises more and more he just wants to play country music 🤣
i would say its more of a stoner feel to this version than country
That’s the most hipster Calvary Chapel church coffee shop version of any Metallica song I’ve ever heard. It’s a hard pass for me.
Stoner-country sounds about right. lmao
James is playing a Danelectro baritone. It's actually a six string bass, tuned like a guitar, but an octave down.
I would never expect myself to say this, especially 30 years ago but as an older metalhead today, I wouldnt mind a load 3.....
James playing that guitar center video riff in the beginning
duuuuuude thats crazy
He’s been playing before every Fuel live video this tour
yep
Yea that was a great video of him at guitar center years ago. James is a legend.
I want an album of songs like this!!!!!! Take like 15 songs and do this to ‘em. It would BLOW UP!
It should be an official album with this type of versions. Fuel, Blackened, Disposable Heroes, All Within My Hands, If Darkness Had A Son, Nothing Else Matters, Creeping Death, Now That We’re Dead. Almost one song per album.
Wow James playing a Danelectro, Kirk playing a Tele. What a cool era for us fans !
More of this please guys !
I hope this is like their next album - a Load3? "Unload"
Why not lol
@@ChainsawReacts after the last two albums i think they kind of need a change. i'd love to see a more focused and modernized Load infused with 2020s Metallica.
I think Inamorata is a great example of what a 21st Century load album could be.
@penoyer79 yes
The whole show is some of the best music I have heard all year. No joke
😂
The intro sounds like that riff from the guitar center interview
I think you are correct
it is
Ffffuck yessss ..the amazing riff!!
The most badass thing Metallica did since S&M in 1999
It's diabolical! I believe James is playing a baritone guitar. So cool! What a great groove this version of Fuel has.
I think it went something like this:
James: "I want Fuel on the setlist" (because of course he does)
Lars: "You know we can't do pyrotechnics in that venue!"
James: "Ok, well let's rewrite it into a a dirty blues version so I can play that new country/blues guitar I just got!"
I absolutely love it. Love the original and love the new. The harmony and blues tones are amazing. Always love Tallica.
Check out Low Man's Lyric from this concert. really good performance as well
Tomorrow!
Metallica has been always making beautiful music.
The Unforgiven 2 was there best song on the setlist for that show, IMO!
That riff is so sick. Cool reaction brother thanks
I like that cool and slow grunge sound. The boys need to explore this a little more
You gotta react to Nothing Else Matters from that show as well. It's their best performance of that song ever imo
James uses the baritone guitar here.
At the beginning he plays the Guitar Center riff, from 2014
Cover gods. Theyre so freaking good their own covers are excellent
James needs to do a blues/country album at this point. Load/Reload were obviously very blues and country inspired. James needs to lean into that more
James doesn’t “need” to do shit. But I’d also be interested in hearing something like that.
I would argue that they were inspired by "The Warning" and the way those 3 sisters have broken down Enter Sandman and made it their own. Personally, this is very cool. 🤘🔥🇨🇦
Chainsaw , legend havnt time to comment on any video but know I subbed to u for ages just for these Metallica vids. Keep them ones up
I really like this new version. I have been listening to it every day since the show
It's the all within my hands benefit concert, they do acoustic versions
sweet amber + fuel = fuel amber
They did a version of the four Horsemen like that in the 90s
Love it ❤🤟🤘
That part post the guitar center riff reminds me a lot of Prince Charming. While it has the added G and A it is the same riff but slowed
"You are witnessing the birth of a new era. A freefrom jazz ensemble - Spinal Tap, Mark 2."
Thanks for the reaction. I think, Metallica should do more stuff like this🤘
that riff before Fuel starts ist just simply the Guitar Center riff my friend :)
A friend of mine was there (he actually predicted Low Man's Lyric would be on the setlist). He called this the Swamp Version, I don't know if that's the official designation or just his nickname for it
1:50 exactly what I said when I heard that opening lyric, I’ve seen comments of “blackened 2020 style”
so amazing! When I heard it the first time, I was thinking: "is it Fuel? It will be crazy if I'm not wrong!"
I love this version
Giving me a Lynyrd Skynyrd vibe. Even the backup vox and guitar solo

Maybe they could release an entire album of heavy songs been played like that. I would buy it.
best fuel ever!
It’s absolutely incredible.
Sounds bad fuckin ass.....if your a guitar player, you'll get it...
They did the slow version for Blackened at home during Covid and now this.
Did you see the cover of away from home by Bachman-Turner overdrive from that concert?
James played that riff in guitar center , stuff he wrote.
Nice backing vocals by Rob too!
it's not really Rob that you'd be hearing it's Avi Vincour
My Thoughts on this New Version of Fuel is for their upcoming new album i think, like try to face it on audience if they okay with it or not, like what they do from 1995 2x4 and Devils Dance. Personally i love the fact that Metallica experiment with their sound like this. They've nothing to prove to anyone, at all.
I loved this. Don't mind this version one bit.
I never really liked Fuel, but this version is pretty friggin awesome.
Days of the New vibes
Now I hope they do a thrash version of Low Man’s Lyric lol
Thanks for the reaction!
love the mariachi pants on james
I like it
I’ve always wanted Metallica to do an album like Deliverance by Corrosion of Conformity.
Looks like they need a break a bit, Rob has told earlier than we can expect a new ballad on the next record, pretty sure 😄
Going for a Sad But True vibe, but without the distortion/heavyness. Trying to be heavy without distortion seems not very metal, but I do play thrash on my acoustic for jollies. Hmm.
It's the stud and leather bar version
Hey, the song If Darkness Had a Son was played in the same way as Fuel, with an acoustic and new arrangement. It would be great if you could react to that as well.
🤘👍👍🤘ed
Metallica the best cover band in the world even when they cover their own songs. Garage Inc 2 is going to be incredible.
The paradigm shift has begun
Yes. New video after Xmas Day 😊.
GUITAR CEMTER RIFF FROM 2015
Prepping us for when they are on tour in wheelchairs and MUST slow things down...
Killer
That's a baritone guitar. In every tuning, it sounds like it's tuned an octave down.
😮😮😮 ….🔊🔊🔊🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻wha…..😎🤔😝⚠️⚠️⚠️ I like it.
Loverman inspiration.
this is awesome, much better than original
They should call
It “Re-Fuel!!”
Good title
You should react to hit the lights from this show
RE-RECORD ST ANGER AND EDIT THAT SHIT DOWN 🔥
Any other thrash band would've been dragged through the mud for doing something like this, and here are the Metallica fanboys. Litterally eating up everything they do.
You should react to the acoustic creeping death they did a while back
Kirk playing an Esquire while James riffs on a Danelectro baritone...? Whisky Tango ACTUAL Foxtrot? Sounds good, though...
It has more of a blues feel.
this is fuel but unleaded version
Brilliant!
Cunning stunts vibes here!
Kinda COCish
Part of the fun of new Metallica releases are your reactions mofo 😃🤙
Thanks!
I could be wrong but that might be a baritone guitar
Low man’s lyric next
Tomorrow!
Way better than every song off 72 seasons. They need to put another loadish album
We got a load-ish album from Hardwired.
Please do low man's lyric reaction!
Tomorrow!
Guitars sound great, now they just need to change the drummer for a good one.
They are preparing for the future by slowing down high energy songs. Easier to play in the future when they are 90 years old
At 90 years old they’ll be retired lol. I can see them going until 75 max, this doesn’t work in a stadium setting
This is the acoustic version. Nothing new, mate - they've done it at AWMH charity gigs before.
Might has well call this Refuel.. Its a neat rendition, they all sound very well doing it but this song, I see no purpose for it to be played in this style. Maybe Bad seed but not Fuel.
when are you going to fix the blur of your camera?
Blur?
@ChainsawReacts yeah, motion blur.
This will probably appease Billy Corgan.
It's cool that they are experimenting again, and I like that guitar tone - but I'm not a fan of this version of fuel.
Avengers Earth mightiest heroes
So sad 😞
