They always want that one kid to have all the shine to carry the team and look good. Back in the 90s and even early 2000s, the game was about EVERYONE. Best example I can give are the NY Knicks way back in the day, when they played as an entire team. Not one person to depend upon. It's a new generation thing, not a team specific thing.

Honestly I love seeing public employees, cops, firemen, ems, etc interacting with the community in uniform. We have an annual charity baseball / softball tournament in my area, the entire fire, police force, and ems crews all show up in Uniform, in the hot Texas sun to play. They're all usually on duty / on call, and have bailed in the middle of a game because something comes up. Those people dont get paid enough, they don't get enough respect, and most of them are just normal everyday people trying to do good for others.

Stephen Bassette - Yes, he lied to his followers. Just because he has money, doesn't mean he's content there. He wants more--he wants relevancy and fame, along with more money so he clickbaits a bit. It's not anything new but I'm not a fan of it. I doubt this guy is anything of the sort when it comes to law enforcement. There are many questions to be asked here. Why was there no cop/security cars in the lot? Why don't we see their full conversation? There's just a lot of signs that insinuate this is staged.
