@@Dusk007 i consitently hipfire people with the crossbow. not that i only hipfire it like a shotty, obviously i ads all the time with it too. its just a nice bonus its got over the bow for example. never used slugs on specter before, i have on the crown tho, was pretty solid

I use the crossbow a lot and I always use all normal bolts or half shot bolt because shot bolt gives the crossbow penetration and removes its damaged falloff allowing you to kill people from a distance instantly with a single crossbow shot.
Slugs. Shotbolt is the hipsters choice but when the chips are down slugs won't let you down. Meanwhile, for every clip of shotbolts kicking ass there are three instances of shotbolts utterly failing. On the other hand, Slugs are top tier.
Shot bolt kills at longer range (since the bullet is on the tip of the bolt, it's a point blank shoot whatever the range) and it can penetrate walls (the slug not the bolt) it's more versatile than the regular bolt. And is sure fun as hell
Yeah shot bolt kills from any range as long as you hit chest whereas the standard bolt dosen't kill from anything further than like 15 meters. Also it has good wallbang potential.
slugs are much better but i get borried its hunt easy mode i do like to play shotbolt its more fun, but when i have bad day or series of matches i usually run crown slugs just to clear some lobbys catch a warm-up
Personally slugs just don't work for me. The ranges at which I manage a one-tap would work with buckshot too and anything further away I could achieve with an uppercut anyway. Shotbolt is absolute king shit. Easy to use, silent, WAAAY cheaper and a guaranteed one-tap if you land a hit.
because rifles need a headshot to oneshot. slugs do not. its a rifle with all the damage but non of the rifle range. thats the idea. you ever tried challenging a mosin or something with slugs? gl

Lots of people dislike crossbows because of the added travel time and drop and also it has weird sights. But after you get used to it crossbows are really fun. Its essentially a guaranteed kill at close range even if it doesn't one shot the enemy is left at low health and are bleeding and the shot bolt gives the crossbow theoretically infinite range if you hit them in the chest.

Slugs are a cancer to this kind of game. Hope Crytek will fire the idiots who ruined the game with the addition of slugs spitzer and dual wielding and hire someone who has a life and a brain for future developments.
idk about skill, its definitely harder to use on strafing targets, plus it has drop. but i wouldnt say slugs require no skill to use, if anything shells are really easy to use. id say they are about equal i prefer shotbolt because i can hipfire it, which is never fking mentioned, its so good.
Prefer slugs but ever since summit complained about them, I have been learning shotbolt since I think they are going to get nerfed. Shotbolt is cheaper to use which I like considering im a lower-skill player.

Shotbolt's definitely more impressive for me. Plus it's still weird to me to see shotgun shots doing damage further than 20m.
Shotbolts are pretty strong, and really only downside is crossbow reload and the bolt dropping

Because it's slower than a bullet so you have to lead even in close range engagements, that and some people refuse to learn the drop of of crossbow.
