Looking at this again after more than a decade, I'm still satisfied at how this AMV turned out, exactly how I felt at the beginning. A few editing misses here and there are acknowledged (and yes, the crop is atrocious, not to mention the watermark). But that only shows that this video has accumulated millions of views more than I would have imagined (I may create a corrected version, but do not have the luxury of time).
I created this AMV out of inspiration of other AMVs I've watched back in those days. I simply just want to reproduce the musicality of those other AMVs and found no other Anime series to showcase it than Hajime No Ippo, and this title match between Hawk and Takamura is the perfect match for it. Hajime No Ippo is at the top of my list as 'Best Anime Series' (along with other 'classics' like HxH 1999, Death Note, Naruto, etc.) and I hope this AMV has drawn out its greatness along with this masterpiece of Linkin Park, even for a little bit.
The AMV has slowed down. But I hope it's done its job to spark some motivation to other creators in making great AMVs, the same way I felt watching aforementioned AMVs.

Yeah I never knew anything about this and found this AMV while looking for Berserk ones and I'm like hey what the hell is this "put your fist under each others chin" BAMM! *falling off my chair* hold up, that cheap ass cheap shooted that dude hah now I'm gonna watch it, I didn't watch the whole AMV because I didn't wanna spoil the whole fight, or bits of it I mean.

@@napmellowh7527 Ashita No Joe is darker and sad, tho. BTW who ya people prefer as the better villain between Hawk and Sawamura from Rising? Hawk was bad ultra violent guy and all, but Sawamura was pure psychpathic and sadistic guy. Dude made Mashiba and Hawk look like nuns, lol.

The way Chester's voice HITS when Takamura snaps is legit what got me into HNY 10 years ago. To this day this remains my favorite AMV
Absolutely my favorite fight in the series thus far. The buildup was incredible, and the fight itself was tense and exciting as hell.
That fucking KO punch at the end!! I was jumping out of my seat when Takamura landed that monster on that smug assholes face! Easily the best fight of the series, followed closely by Ippo vs Sawamura and Ippo vs Sendo. MadHouse NEED to start on season 4 dammit!! There's over a thousand chapters in the manga so they've got plenty of material to work with!!

That punch remains the single greatest moment in the entire series for me with Kamogawa's double Tekken punch on Anderson in Rising being a very, very close second! WHY MUST WE WAIT SO LONG FOR A NEW SEASON DAMMIT?!?!?! I need more Ippo greatness in my life!!
