This song is better in Swedish but its great even in English. Going to see them in Sweden 3rd of may 👌
Cool song. Cool show. Now, the live shows are even more epic… One month to wait for seeing Sabaton live again. Traveling to Sweden to see them. In fact I should have seen them today, but the show was postponed to 2023… Joakim joined the band as keyboarder and he got kind of stuck as a singer. So, you’re right. Nothing fancy about his vocals, but they hit the right spot, and that’s way more than being a technically excellent singer.
This whole show is just fantastic.
My personal favorites from Woodstock: "40:1" and "Ghost Division".

This version of the song is in B-flat minor, and shifts up to C minor for the final chorus. And typically the live versions of their songs are played two semitones lower than the studio versions (studio version is in C minor and shifts to D minor)
This is an awesome song, and a great show. But for a better experience you should check out the version from "The great tour - Live in Stockholm" Better recording, the stage view is cool, and also they have Apocalyptica on stage helping them out.
And also Joakim is singing the Swedish version of the song, which in my opinion is the better version. Thanks for the great reaction.
Just wanted to say that the studio version is a step or key higher, idk what its called, but this part 13:04 goes even higher in studio which is crazy to hear. Great reaction.
Alrighty then, some Sabaton! And a legendary show too. This crowd was stoked, and Sabaton got the most out of them. The song is good by Sabaton standards nothing spectacular. But like I said this concert is legendary. The band is in rare form here, and they're usually great live. I would go 8.5 but in the great range is good enough. Nice reaction!
Most epic performances from Sabaton comes from Wacken. Wacken is in Poland but the audience (mostly) know the lyrics in Swedish, English, Latin, German, Russian.. when needed to make it a sing-along. The song 'Swedish pagans' th-cam.com/video/NWnuSZ5pwNA/w-d-xo.html is in English and doesn't exactly say sorry for what our ancestors did to theirs. Somehow they don't hold a grudge while actually liking the music. Imagine getting BLM involved 👻

This is the song that got me into Sabaton! Not the first one I ever heard, that was Bismarck. But this one’s groove got me interested and now I’m a fan.

This was the last album with the original line-up.
The line-up split happened around March 2012 and the album came out in May of 2012. But they were done recording the album in January of 2012.
This song is good, but even better in Swedish! 🤘👍

Unfortunately I was a little late to the party....they were sold out by the time I got the chance.
@@THEDavidHeretic keep watching. They’ve already upgraded to bigger venues for some cities, and they might do that for more.
Hopefully they will add more shows. This tour has been selling really well for them.

Hello, the song is called 'Carolus Rex'. The video you watched just has the wrong name 😂
Its hopeless to name a Sabatons "best song". Theres a whole bunch that when I listen to them I think, yeah this one is "the best"... Carolus Rex is definitely one of my favourites. The whole Carolus Rex album is what got me hooked in the first place, a few years back. The other ones are great as well, but not like Carolus.
I would say it’s my favourite or 2nd favourite
Fun fact: the album version is sung in a higher pitch than the live version. That aside while it's not the best by them Carolus Rex (and yes it's Carolus not Carolux) a good song at 1.75x speed. The pyro was also used smartly and only in certain telegraphed sections.
Did you notice the audience doing some pretty crazy walls of death? Your pronunciation of Carolus was close, but the emphasis is on the second syllable.
