- I have not seen "Tagos ng Dugo" ever since it was shown in the regular theaters in 1987 and beyond. From the words of Ronald Rios, Sofia Board member and moderator during the Talk Back session, the movie is too adult to be understood and appreciated by the young. At the time, I was only 20 years old. And just like the movie, its director Maryo J. de los Reyes is "too ahead of his time" to be able to have fully understood the complexities surrounding the role of Fina. After 37 years, the movie is still "dark" but I was able to grasp the psychological implications it was supposed to have delivered.
