Gaenor bailey Omg your profile photo is absolutely gorgeous. I dabble in photography as a little hobby. I love grainy black and whites, but I also love the more dramatic black and whites, and I especially love when you manage to catch just a perfect shot, perfect angle and can make something beautiful out of it just like you did.
The effect of the blinds (I think it’s blinds?), the various shades throughout the entire photo, the eyeliner and the lipstick being the most vibrant of the contrasts, and of course he lipstick being the only shade in color.
I just loved it.
That was a brilliantly done photo.
I am a sucker for black and white of any style, and I especially love when someone has the courage to let a single shade of color pop out in their black and white.
You did a beautiful job.

It isn't a brush, it's a marker actually. I don't remember the brand but I guess it is of molotov.

I attempt to emulate your technique of the dark shadows created with the masking tape but I don't quite get the same results. But I will keep trying! Thanks for the inspiration!

@johnbeckley Beautiful. What brand of tape are you using to keep your lines so crisp? Also, do you mix regular acrylic and heavy bodied paints in this painting?
The sound of the markers is just excellent! Is that the original sound? And of course the painting is beautiful but I have played the sound of the brushes several times.

Hi John your paintings are amazing and I love your channel. I had a request please could you tell us the colours you use and how long you wait in between adding colours like how long you wait. Wether the canvas has dried completely or you carry on painting while the canvas is still wet. Thank you in advance.
