I want to thank the camerawoman for recording this & posting. If it wasn't for you Noell I would have NEVER have the chance to see this. I live in a seriously remote part of Australia. I don't even get mail because post doesn't come here. I'll go into town once every few months. And great questions! Thankyou sooo much Noell. ;) MCC
Noell and Izzy, thank you for taking the time to not only record these videos, but also process them for us. What a great demo! I love how Tim makes everything so much fun to watch.
Oh man Tim Holtz does it again with some AWESOME new products!! I can't WAIT to get these paints!!! MUST HAVE THEM ALL NOW!!! Thanks for all these BOSS video Noell!!!!
This is why Tim always schedules an exclusive hour with us to video stuff before the floor opens to everyone else. If you look for the 1st video we did at CHA he does the same demo of Distress Paint, but without the extra inking and glitter at the end.
Yep -- this is why we do a private video with Tim before the show starts every year. So much better than when there's a group of people around. But Ranger asked us to cover the round of demo's the signature designers do for their VIP's and at least it gives us a little more to enjoy and learn.
I know this is an older video, but I love seeing Wendy Vecchi at the end of the table. You can see how much respect she has for Tim and his knowledge of the creative industry.
When I was at Ranger U for my certification I think they told us we could order from Ranger a certain width of the matte with any length we want. I can't remember what the width has to be. It might be that you have to be certified to order, but I doubt it. You should call Ranger and see if they'll let you order.
Love all of Tim's demonstration videos as I never have a chance to get to the trade shows. However, how the heck did he let that woman keep on coming into shot with her camera. She obviously doesn't realise how lucky she is to actually see it up close and has to spoil the only chance we get to see the demos by sticking that damn camera in shot every 20 seconds. HOW SELFISH.
OK i was wondering what was so amazing with that distress paint but with this video i really get it ! now i need to spare at least 50€ to get a bunch of colors !
Thank you for sharing Idivagirl. I haven't found anything like that in Hobby Lobby or Micheals...I looked up their website and I guess it is under construction...do you have any suggestions to where I could find this for purchase? Thank you again.
If you use it to paint on fabric will it wash out at all? If I were to use it to paint patterns onto clothes that are washed (like kids clothes) would I need to do anything to make it permanent or is it automatically permanent like on the card etc? Many thanks! Kate :)
How can I get the huge non stick craft mat. I have the average size one, but I would love to have one that covers a huge work area like the one in this tutorial that Tin is showing us.
1. Learn to use the zoom. 2. Learn to silence the camera when in a group. Well the paint is so different. Love what it does to metal. I guess I should have watched the official video to avoid that photo snapping person.
The thing that annoys me about the camera lady is that her timing was terrible and in every photo she would've had the shadow from her camera. Love the demo though, Tim is very passionate and charismatic.
This was an awesome video...minus the lady who kept throwing her camera in the shot to take pictures. Wish she would have been more considerate! I'm sure Tim was annoyed as well :S.

Love the idea of the paints - always found Tim Holtz products excellent value. Can't wait to have a play with them.
Tim, your passion is so infectious! Thanks for sharing it with all of us... And, who's kidding who, you have The Best Job Ever!!!
Thanks so much for sharing this, Noell! Tim's demo is always a highlight from CHA... can't wait to play with these paints!
I love Tim's wonderful creativity and products and also his unique Jewellery!!! :-)
Lovely tricks... when I watch Tim doing a demo my eyes are only on his hands...nothing else matters...
Tim you are fantastic!
Love his products.can't wait for new stuff...

the camera is likely taking close-ups for a trade magazine or catalog, I don't mind it at all. these paints are so awesome, I can't wait to get some!
No. They would've had a good camera with a zoom!
Thank you for this great introduction of the distress paints. They look really great and fun to use :-)

I love how those dabber paints blend!
I know this is an older video, but I love seeing Wendy Vecchi at the end of the table. You can see how much respect she has for Tim and his knowledge of the creative industry.
Very cool. I don't personally have much use for the stains but I could see myself using these a lot!

Beautiful! How do you adhere the glitter to the surface?
woohoo...when can we get these paints???

I cannot find these paints. I can only find the flip tops. Where are they available?
Now May 2017 when you coming to the UK
It would have been nice if there was a list of the products used.

I bet Tim sold the HELL out of used cars back in the day :D Quite the salesman
I found it on the scor-pal website but I have not purchased yet.

Can you let me know what kind of show is where are you so I can go to get those products because sometimes no have in the stores
What's with the person taking pictures constantly. Does she nit know these demos are on TH-cam.? Great info in these paints. Thanks, Tim.
The lady with the camera needs to learn how to use the zoom function! Very irritating!!
Haha! Right?! My thought, exactly! So irritating!
Ha ha. I was thinking the same thing and came on here to see if anyone else thought that too. First comment read there it is!🤣🤣
I WAS THINKING THE SAME ;-) but Tim was the perfect gentleman ;-)
just wondering do they sell it in any craft stores..?
I agree...well said!
can the paint dabber or ink be used for photo tinting?
Where do I buy the bottles
Where can you get the paper on top of work space?
The closest I have found is the STAY PUT CRAFT MAT (15 3/4" x 19 3/4") by ScorPal
is the white he is using Picket Fence?
what do you do with all the painted cards?
Would like to hear the product name because once isn’t enough.

AGREED!!!

Stephanie Michaud
BeingErin IT'S the only reason I wanted to comment on! Its like she doesn't get boundaries and doesn't konw about telephoto
When the paper starts to curl up after it gets wet how do you get it to straighten out again and not look water damaged?
Tammy M b
Flatten it under a heavy book.
You can use tape to keep it down while you dry it, although I think the ranger tags flatten out if you use a heat gun when they are completely dry.
He must have a total zen mindset. If it were me I would have grabbed that camera and thrown it across the room!
Christie Logan ha ha.
Lol
OMG, I thought the same thing.
OMG...the lady with the camera!!
Um that is what the zoom is for. lol.
I think I would have painted that lady's camera!
Perhaps he should have ‘accidentally ‘ dabbed a bit of the paint on the lens. Lol.
Loved Tim. Wish could have stopped that person sticking their camera in the way. They were very inconsiderate.
This was an awesome video...minus the lady who kept throwing her camera in the shot to take pictures. Wish she would have been more considerate! I'm sure Tim was annoyed as well :S.
Geez oh man, how many pictures did that lady need?! Really gets annoying
how annoying is that person with the camera!!!!
