I've used actives for a long time (atc50asl) so it was intetesting to hear a sound clip of the Dynaudios in action. Thx 4 posting🍻

Nice, but a little statement in the video would have been great.

Exactly - the audio tells us essentially nothing, as it is a recording of what was played, compressed by youtube and then played back in our local setups.

Thank you for the feedbacks, I’ll try to add more comments here. Dynaudio active speakers were excellent in both ends, it can both handle heavy bass stuff and classical&opera genres. It can get really loud without any distortion. I would seriously consider it if the price tag was a bit lower, It was one of the best active bookshelf speakers I heard. Wilson & VTL room was one of my favorites in the show the it was very musical, easy-listening, and VTL amplifier did a great job there driving those speakers. MBL is out of my reach to comment on, its design led some instruments to sound more and more real due to its unorthodox design. And it is indeed beautiful however the system combined is I think is more than 7 figures.

Lastly, in my case, since I recorded the different listening rooms with the same device, it presents an opportunity to some-what compare the features of the systems in the show (hopefully) like whether it is laid-back or forward sounding, level of details and transparency, etc. IMHO, bass is hard to catch in those recordings.

Thanks for sharing. I was there too and due to the size of the convention it was simply not possible, to go to all the speakers. Funny enough, except for the Dynaudio I haven't seen the ones you shared, that's why I commented and asked for your feedback :D.
The price tags on the Dynaudio are ridiculous, for their reference bookshelf pair it is 20k :D.
However, I really got surprised by the Canton Reference series. I don't know if you had the chance to look at them, but man, the Reference 9 alone (bookshelf speaker) blew me away. The are retailing for 3800/pair, which is pricy too, but still a very nice price tag for the sound you're getting. The Reference 2 were stunning, but 16k/pair :D.
Also, Pylon Audio seems to be a niche thing to check out, when they are releasing their new Zirkon speakers later this year.
Just my two most interesting findings on the high end.

@@tommyes3591 Exactly, I also missed out tens of rooms, will be looking for the videos especially the ones you refer. And will be adding couple more videos on the show✌My other favorite bookshelf speakers on the show were: WLM, Atohm and interestingly Loewe (considering its size)
