Option A: Hook up laptop to FOH (tediously), make sure notifications are off, fumble through folders to get the right pad, make sure media player is loaded right, manually crossfade between two pads when it’s time to change…
Option B: Select key, select type, engage.
This is so cool! I just wish they had XLR outputs too in addition to the 1/4”.
Awesome. Simple idea, but very well executed.
This thing is brilliant!
That pedal is amazing. I typically run a separate iPad thru it's own channel, but this thing would be awesome.
Great video dude!!!
Thats pretty cool for ambient underneath. I use the Strymon Cloudburst in similar fashion and it has served well with acoustic or electric. This pedal doesn't seem to quite step on your playing at all.
You can use the hx stomp 3osc synth with a midi keyboard as well. That means you can use a midi keybed, like the old organ bass controllers, add effects and send it out to a different stereo amp or sub from the stomps fx loop while having your main out remain for guitar from the same box. Pretty neat.
Thanks for the tip!
Can this thing replace a reverb pedal? I mostly use mine for swells anyway, but wouldnt have room for both pedals.
Cool pedal I decided to get the Oscillator devices Minerva instead due to its stereo analog thru and much smaller size. Of course it doesn’t come with any pre made pads you have to load your own. 😊
Oh yeah it’s only 120 USD and since I’m sporting a Morningstar mc6pro I dont need all the buttons.
That’s probably a good decision
I'm sure something like this would also be great for keys players who want more freedom to play runs and passages without worrying about keeping a pad going.
Hey Worship leader,
Awesome video you made of this pedal.
Because you have the pedal in the effects loop, do you now use reverb and delay in the chain of the hx stomp? And does this affect the sound of the atmosphere? Or does that depend on where the effects loop is located in the chain?😁
you are exactly right...it's not the best...but it's one solution
Does anyone know whats the difference between the pedal and the Aeropads app?
Is there a way to set up pads and their respective keys for a set list or do you have to scroll through the pad and key for each song as you go?
Yes it has a set list function!
@@onyx1310 Right on! I assumed so but wasn’t sure. Thanks!
Does the fx loop block consume dsp?
I think very very little
It’s great I just wish it was a little more affordable
tru
@@HeyWorshipLeader looking to save up for one of these. Leading worship a bit more often, learning from my dad as I’m 16y old, this thing will be good when I can get it.
That unit is really cool, but for some reason I can't get into pads.
gotcha;..I like them if they aren't overused
Can this be connected to a volume pedal?
Yes. You can use an expression pedal for volume as well as changing the keys instead of using the buttons. They also make a version with a scroll wheel on the right side to use as volume.
Does it have minor pads?
Pretty sure it's an open 5th, which wouldn't dictate major or minor (aka E would work for the keys of E major and Em).
Forst
Wish I could be forst.
