it's hard to find time to get into a long rpg nowadays but, at the same time, it feels good when it clicks ! i have been using spoiler free walkthroughs sometimes ! they help with the basics as well !
I've loved JRPGs since i first experienced Chrono Cross on PS1 as a kid. It offered a unique experience compared to western games. I enjoy them even more now, considering how bland and generic the western AAA gaming space has become. Chasing high end graphics but giving unappealing character designs and bland gameplay. Meanwhile my game of the year is between both Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and Dragon Quest 3 HD.
I love JRPGs because it makes more sense than reality most of the time

Play Trails in the Sky bro. It's JRPG with all the settings at a 110% Amazing character interactions, amazing writing, great music and combat, etc...
I’ve been playing through the entire series this year, just hit CSIV and cannot second this enough

Lame answer: Because of the story, characters, blah blah blah...
Real answer: Because I'm a masochist.
