    140 farming...you can't beat it! For my money, the Farmall 140 is the greatest small farm tractor ever built. I have a 63 model that Daddy bought used in 1976. Planting that big potato patch brings back memories.

    Thanks for sharing. I planted a spring garden with my 92 yr old FIL's Super AV. I rigged up an old Cole Duplex Planter behind it and planted corn and beans. I got the bug and bought a Super A and a couple of weeks later a 100 parts tractor. Just finished converting the Super A to 12v. Setting up the fertilizer distributor an IH Duplex seed hopper to go with an A180 belly planter that I picked up. It's a jigsaw puzzle getting it all figured out! LOL

    That is rather mesmerizing!! I never would have thought I would find myself watching a video on potatoes being planted…….but the entire “a system” is neat! These things are what today’s kids need to be learning, not video games. Also, that is some great looking soil you have there! Nothing like the ironstone rocks bed I just moved from. It looks like I need to drop by and thin some of those trees out for ya 😏😁
    🚜 intrigue me 👍👏

      I know...the craziest things we find ourselves drooling over! I agree about teaching children important things!....Stop on by and we will drop a few of those 'ol trees!

    You've given me the bug, now I've got to go tractor shopping. Guess I'll be driving the country side. Good video.

      As a long time user, take my advice and get a Farmall 140. If you find one at the right price, a 100 or 130 will work just fine. They're just older versions of the 140.

      @@aroundtheshop9615 Yes to addiction. The last two summers I spent too much time acquiring Cult A Vision tractors. Sadly little time actually working them. Fun however. Thanks for sharing.

    So you put fertilizer in the furrow where you dropped the potatoes and then side-dressed more fertilizer?

    • @aroundtheshop9615
      @aroundtheshop9615  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, that was to get the correct amount of fertilizer...I needed to use the entire hopper to plant that amount of seed.
      I can see where that might have been confusing, sorry!

    If it fits the nut on the tool bar it bes an inch and a quarter.

    Where does a guy get one of those fertilizer hopper’s? My old fiberglass unit is toast.

    Looking good!! What diameter are those hiller disc? I got a couple of sets of 12'' but 14'' or 16'' i'm thinking would throw some tall beds.

      These are 14"....I use them early on ...I have a set of 12's that i should have begun with!...I like to keep increasing as the season goes on.
