Since my mom died I've been living in her bedroom, not really changing anything watching it get messier and messier. But yesterday I don't know what happened, I woke up and decided that was the day. I spent all day cleaning and going through my moms things. I ended up taking the day off work today to finish it all. And this i discovered your channel so I was cleaning and listening to you clean at the same time. It was really emotionally draining but sometimes just your bright happy voice helped me keep going. It's all clean now. I still have the bookshelves to go through but at least I can see the floor now. Mom would be proud.
My family did the same thing with my brothers room when he passed. You had great intentions by not wanting to change anything about the room. But surrounding your mom’s belongings in filth isn’t what you want either. I’m so happy you took the time to clean up and better your living space. I know your mom is very proud of you
I have the opposite effect of the people you help. I have OCD, so I am always cleaned or organizing something. It's frustrating sometimes because I find myself doing repetitive movements or cleaning. So my daughter introduced me to your channel 😅, watching you clean helps my OCD! 🤭 it's like a medicine for me. Then the urge of cleaning, organizing, deodorizing, washing, vacuuming, and wiping goes away! So thank you for helping me with that! Having OCD isn't fun at times.
that is super interesting. OCD is anxiety rooted so watching her clean must calm that down a bit; the really dirty shots are a tension but seeing it clean is like a resolution to it.
Auri!! OMG, You turned your back to the camera and I swear I saw wings beginning to grow out of your shoulders! You are truly an angel and the world is a better place because you’re in it! May God bless you abundantly for your kind and gracious self. ❤️😊
Sometimes people with homes like this have OCD too! They just get so overwhelmed and feel like they can't do it perfectly enough, that they shut down. I was told years ago by a therapist that I had OCD but I consider myself cured now because I don't do the behaviors anymore. But at the time, I was hyper organized and clean at work, and super messy and hoarding at home. Everyone at work thought my apartment must be spotless, but it wasn't at all. It took years of work for me to get through my stuff, both mentally and physically.
I have OCD too, and I actually swing back and forth between being a real hoarder and living in filthy conditions when I'm depressed, or being really meticulous and organising & reorganising things. They are definitely both manifestations of OCD because OCD is all about not being able to cope and live/behave normally with anxiety, so you try to either get rid of the anxiety by worrying or doing compulsions, or you avoid/self medicate/distract from it. For me, my obsessions aren't about germs or cleanliness, but I still get both sets of symptoms.
@planetina I am so sorry to hear this. I hope that someday you can find a solution to your OCD. Truthfully. OCD is made fun of by people in conversations and in jokes. But it's such a horrible disorder to deal with! Especially when you deal with it on a daily basis and people think that it's just habits that we can't break. Depression too is a mental health illness that society takes lightly. I dislike it when I hear individuals loosely say the phrase, "I am depressed ". It's insensitive to those individuals who live with it day in and out. So, thank you for sharing your experiences. It takes much courage to speak up about your conditions. I'll definitely keep you in my daily prayers and thoughts. You're stronger than you know!
As a social worker I have been in numerous homes like this. I have had to assist in cleaning homes like this and can appreciate how hard it can be. God bless you for cleaning these homes for free with no judgement towards those who live in these circumstances. I have the utmost respect for you.
I think sadly that this type of home owner could really benefit from having a social worker following up the cleaning she does. I can’t help but think they won’t even wash their laundry and dishes and the home will look the same way soon.
It's starting to become common even here in the states. It makes sense to build the wettest room in the house to be made for wetness and easy to clean.
@@Eventide215 is it really easier to clean 😕? I mean considering that there are tiles everywhere that can accumulate mold? It just sounds more labourious to have to deep clean an entire room regularly vs just regularly deep cleaning a shower/tub.
@@J10098 get one of those big floor scrub brush things, some soap and go crazy. then rinse it all away, boom, your bathroom tiles are clean. literally use that squeegie/towel combo aurie uses to dry it if you’re worried. easier than sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping lmao
For everyone speaking German - an alternative to Powerpaste is called Scheuermilch, also available from ecological brands. Happy cleaning :) Edit: someone in the comments said that the "Putzstein" by Dr. Beckmann is pretty much the same thing as Powerpaste (and I cehcked, it's cheaper) Edit2: I also found the eco version, "Reinigungspaste" by Planet Pure, the same as Powerpaste, similar price
Depression starts to creep up on me when I slowly start putting off washing the dishes and when I don't fold my clothes and put them away after drying. So when I see it start to happen it takes such an effort for me to do them. But I have to snap out of it bc I have child and a baby dog I am responsible for. Takes a few days, but I eventually slowly start to get things done again. Thank you for your understanding of this condition. You're wonderful ☺️♥️
That's what I said too. Can you imagine someone missing how special she is, to point out they want her to not do one of the cutest things she does? That is what we would call a monster. Momma warned me about those folks.
@@johnafagerquist8235 oh dear, you are catastrophizing and gaslighting a bit here. who is suggesting she change her pronunciation? and "monster" is a strong word for such a mild offence. you are expelling a lot of hate at a person who doesn't exist, or is in the 1%.
@@brunetteXer Hate is a strong word. Hate? No. Anger at utter insensitivity, yes. Monster a little strong? Yes, I agree. I was really taken aback by several comments I'd seen, regarding her pronunciations. Will I delete the comment? Nah. Have a great day.
It must be such a horrible vicious circle if you live in a situation like this, you feel depressed so you don't clean and cook, you get takeaways which make you feel shit and creates more mess and so the cycle continues. You do a brilliant thing helping them break this cycle
It truly is. Then when you get motivated enough to clean you don't know where to start which gets you overwhelmed and give up before you start which makes you feel more defeated. That's why I have my boyfriend to help me.
@@ASmith-jn7kf Seriously? Victim, how? By having depression? By recognising things that contribute to making a situation worse? What's your issue with that? At least people are recognising things and learning what they can do to improve a situation, and understanding or trying to understand what it must be like for others who are struggling. What does making snarky ignorant comments achieve? Absolutely nothing but drag people down for no reason and perpetuate more bullcrap ignorant stigma.
my mum had been undiagnosed all her life but it was obvious she was depressed. a single mom to eight kids, can't really blame her. my dad was a POS that abused her so while she got free, she still was battling demons. she was abused growing up too, her mom died giving birth to her and her dad left shortly after. she met him once when she was 15. hasn't seen him since, doesn't know if he's still alive or not. she's 62 now. she was raised by her white side of the family, they hated her for being indigenous. anyway, that's just a little info. what i was going to get at was that due to the poverty of her childhood she ended up becoming kind of a hoarder. our homes were never filthy to this extent (but let's be real, us younger 4 were born very close in age so she had her hands full [a year after having me she had twin boys], so there was definitely dirty walls and floorboards lol). growing up it just got worse and worse. she's gotten rid of a lot of her junk but now she's hoarding clothes. literally has boxes and totes stacked in her bedroom and basement full of them. it made me a minimalist. i have chronic depression and anxiety, seeing a messy or cluttered room stresses me out. as a teen i was similar to the people in these videos. i always had a gross room. it definitely improved as i got older, i am 28 now and for my bedroom i only have a dresser, a wall shelf, my bed, and my computer desk with only my computer on it. my laundry can't even be out or i get stressed so i have to put my baskets in my closet so avoid a breakdown. my apartment is similar. i have a tiny bit of clutter that i am fine with - plants make a great clutter that doesn't stress me out. i wish people would realize living in those conditions can really give their children or dependents ptsd. mental health is so hard to deal with. when my depression got so bad to the point where i had cockroaches in my room, my mum sent me to live with one of my older brother's and his wife. it helped a lot. went to a new school for a semester, made many great friends, actually stayed in school without dropping out or skipping a single class. if anyone dealing with that stuff at home has that kind of opportunity, please take it. it may be life-changing.
My 8 year old daughter and I love your cleaning programs. She says she thinks you are very kind for helping people. She likes when you put the cling film and oven cleaner over the hob and leave it to work. She says she wishes you would do that more often. She loves the big reveal at the end. Thank you
I love how you get excited to clean all the “trashes(so cute how you say that”; but you also feel such compassion for the people having a hard time. You’re an amazing human! Watching you gives me the push most days to get up and do the things I need to. Please keep helping everyone you can!
@@MikuHatsune12 In France there are a very few stores which collect PET bottles and you get money back so you did not pay a deposit for it. So you can really "earn" money back ;-) Anyway there are lots of countries in Europe where you pay a deposit when buying bottles/cans: Finland, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Nederlands... That's awesome once you understand how it works, and that's so simple! I always collect those cans/bottles we can find during hikes, or on parking lots in the Nordics. There are not so many, but hey, good for environement and at least we get rewarded for getting those things back in our backpacks ;-)
I want to thank you, Aurikatariina! I have cleaned a depression home before for a friend and I understand what it means to them. I love cleaning and thought I was a good cleaner before, but my daughter and I have had so much fun deep cleaning our house with all of your methods and holy cow!!! We are addicted to dish soap and power paste!!! Thank you for all that you do for others. Also, I know you want to speak English properly but we adore the way you pronounce everything and have even begun saying some things the way you pronounce them now. Don't change anything! We love you!!!
You can call it a "squiggy"; it's fun! I always feel a happy tickle inside listening to you - so cheerful and happy. We can tell you have empathy for the homeowners and you love showing them that you care.
I am a cleaning lady. I love what you do. Ive learned so much. I use it all the time. Thank you for what you do. My houses are not so bad. I hope you get mad support!!!
Because I always watch your videos, other cleaning videos got recommended to me too. They always seem to have things like "disgusting" in their title which is something that I've never seen or heard from you - which is why you are the greatest! I wish to become a kind person like you too. Stay healthy!
Thanks God here is your weekly video! Yesterday I was very sad... thank you for the help you give to people with problems and for all the examples and advices you give us! God bless you!
Your videos are what motivated me to clean my depression room in the first place and I watch you regularly to keep it clean thank you so much for what you do for people, people are so quick to judge and say it’s laziness but are not realising that getting it to this stage is beyond that and that these people genuinely need help… so thank you so much for being you and doing something as selfless as this!💕
i think it IS a form of laziness, in tiny, tiny doses and eventually you get overwhelmed and things spiral downwards and downwards, and climbing out of the pit you made is so hard (it's pretty much the same as putting on weight and then trying to lose it). the secret is to stay vigilant even for the little moments, otherwise this happens. And this deep clean isn't helping them at all, because the problem is that they don't have the skills to do the small everyday tasks. even just 5mins a day would do wonders for any household. put on some music, choose 3 songs, and clean for just 3 songs. It's the small things that save you.
Thank you so much for uploading the video! I suffer a mild depression and instead of clutter my house I actually have messy finance. I’ve been a coward to face and handle it. Thus it has been like snowball rolling… now I’m anxious about the not-yet-exploded situation…today your video inspired me to face the mess and do the work. Thing will get better. You are indeed a god sent angel. I wish you and your clients all the best!
The thing that you are face the situation it's a good sign, you have half way done, face it, and recognice the problema it's the first step to solve it. Keep on going ! You can do it !
I'm so grateful for what you do! Even though you are only cleaning one house at a time but the fact that you make them into videos is also helping millions of people around the world. I think it helps people be more understanding and sympathetic towards those who struggle with day to day activities. Thank you for being so awesome!
it showcases the harsh realities of mental illness or any type of illness in general. a lot of people are so quick to say they're depressed undiagnosed, but they never deal with stuff like bad hygiene, bad oral hygiene, bad habits, and the lack of motivation for anything even something as simple as putting a dish in the sink. i agree with you. i think it helps people be more compassionate when they see these realities.
it's so good to see someone taking pride in their work and being happy doing it. I'm sure some aspects are bad, it is what it is, but still, you do good work with a lot of compassion. really, I think what they need help with is minimizing stuff and setting up easy places to throw stuff away, like really big trashcans in every room. it helps a lot when you don't have to move a lot to throw something away. I have trashcans in every single room in my apartment and it does keep the mess down. And since I had to move to another state, I had to only take essentials with me, and I'm set on just not having too much stuff so I don't have to clean or tidy them up much. So far, it has worked pretty well. If you don't have the energy to put into cleaning, then you need to make things convenient for yourself, and play life on easy mode. Embrace the lazy for a while, and make your stuff easy to reach, easy to put away, easy to clean, easy to throw away. Hugs to you depressed or neurodiverse people out there, you keep doing your best even when it don't look like much. It is. And keep asking for help. If you haven't, anytime is a good time to start.
I just realized that not only are you absolutely amazing for helping so many people without any judgement at all, but you ALSO go through the effort of creating chapters in your videos that are like, extremely detailed. Your passion and dedication for sharing what you do with all of us is super incredible! 😊 Watching your videos makes me smile so much because I can feel your genuine enthusiasm for what you do, you’re so bubbly and friendly and you make me also want to help those around me 😊
So excited! I assumed when you didn’t post yesterday you just were taking a(much earned) break. I start my new cleaning job in a few hours after not working for a couple years due to health issues, so this will be good motivation! ❤❤
You've inspired me to clean, and have motivation for things I have time for. Today I finally cleaned my room. After ages of dust and food have been in my room. It is so clean! Thank you.
I used some of your suggestions for products yesterday when I was cleaning my shower and it made it easy! I LOVE your videos! I love YOU! Thank you for all you do! ❤️❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸
I feel for the owners. I suffer from it too. I genuinely like cleaning but there are days where I feel like not even going out of bed to eat or do anything. I only clean when I feel like it, which is never. I’m glad my mom helps me. It’s really nice coming home to see my room that was filled with trash and my mountain of hair clean and neat. I’m starting to clean again, little by little. Even just taking out my trash and plates.
I have a tendency toward depression as well. But action at the start seems to head it off. I have a place I like to start. It is always the bathroom. I like to clean my shower walls first. For some reason, I don't mind it and I enjoy it. The shining tile makes me feel good and it gives me the inspiration to go further. I take it one chore at a time. Pretty soon the whole bathroom is done. Even if I left the vacuuming slide or hold off on another room, I know my bathroom is clean and I'm capable to keep going.
My mom taught me a little trick to clean my room when it got out of control when I was a kid. I took everything, toys, clothes, garbage, clutter, and put it all into a big pile on the floor. It makes the room look more clear and free to start organizing right away, and then you can start tackling the pile and watch it shrink! It's kinda fun :) building those habits as a kid made me love cleaning and organizing. It's much easier however to just do a little bit each day, even if it's just taking the dishes and trash away at first. It's really wonderful that your mother helps you
I do understand this can be a mental cndition and sorry to hear that. But you are the only person who can change it and do something about it. You can't rely on your mom your entire life and the first step you can do is start with discipline.
I love that your videos are just as much about you helping people as they are about cleaning. With no judgement at all about their situation or what they have been through. Your giving them a 2nd chance.
Love that you are using an eco friendly approach! You guys are fabulous 🥰 I use the same recipe for cleaning but I add baking soda. I also soak lemon and orange peels in vinegar to make a separate cleaning spray. I keep a jar in the kitchen and have a pretty constant supply. The oils in the citrus peels contain limonene which cuts through grease and smells amazing. Apple peels work as well I just don't eat many apples. It's also good to use on wood, which not all cleaners are safe for.
This has been my favorite video to watch! I loved learning how you use a damp microfiber cloth to remove all the excess product. But most of all I loved seeing you have such fun and laughing! My 4-year-old daughter and I watch your videos every week! We even bought pink aprons and gloves for cleaning day at our home! She and I always talk about how much she wants to help people like you do. 😊 Thank you for being such a light for goodness and kindness!
I love your videos! I'm a cleaner too, and I've learned so much from you. Your willingness to help people in need is an inspiration to me. Keep up the good work! ❤
You all seriously need to wear protective gear: impervious gloves, a suit, shoe covers, a mask, goggles- you’re going to contract some flesh-eating antibiotic resistant disease in that pile of crap.
I have adhd BPD and depression, I used to let my room get so bad I couldn’t see the floor, and now 15 or so years later I LOVE CLEANING! there are times when I still have no spoons and it does get on top of me tho! (Luckily never as bad as when I was a teenager but still) I feel for anyone going through this, it is honestly a vicious cycle. I love her care and compassion!
So happy that Someone so Gold hearted exist and helps depressed people ❤ I would like to hear a podcasts from you where you talk about complicated deep issues while cleaning 🧼 your voice is very meditating. I’m very thankful that your channel exist ☺️
Watching your videos makes me excited and I start cleaning. You are an inspiration! I just got all the scrub daddy/mommy family and power scrub and I will be using them today. Thanks for these videos!!!
Over 30 large garbage bags of trash!! 😳 That is such a Sad way to live!! I have depression and need back surgery, I definitely need to do some deep cleaning, however I don't let trash build up, when the trash can is full the bag gets carried out. 🥺 just so sad 😞
Auri, I love that you are willing to help people and give them a fresh start a new chapter in their life. Even if you can’t clean every nook and cranny you’re able to get the place looking pretty decent and that’s great
I hope they continue the clean that you started and wash the clothes and dishes and take better care of their bed. Also hope that they can start to cook their own food and eat better. Thank you for what you do.
I must admit I was surprised when you just turned the mattress over - it could have done with a good shake (preferably outside) otherwise another good video.
Aurikatariina, thank you so much! You have changed my life. I went and got a scrub daddy, a sponge mommy, and a squeegee. Cleaning is now actually fun! I hope you know how much good you're doing. You're an inspiration to so many people. Your compassion really makes a difference. Thank you again and happy cleaning!!! 😊😃💖👍
Another lovely job completed ☺️ cleaning these homes is hard work but what's really tough is the people who are living in them, asking for help is a huge deal especially if someone is struggling with life and has mental health issues too. Bless you for your amazing help Auri and your supportive cleaning family.
Just found you today, Love your abilities, it motivates me to clean and also makes me not feel so bad for my very modestly dirty house. I can feel the satisfaction after cleaning something so dirty as I have had to do it for clients in my work in homemaking.
Dear Aurikatariina i just love what you do. I also like your accent, your English vocabulary is perfect. Thank you for helping people who really need help. Sending you love and light from Holland 🌷
Love your videos, you motivate me so much to clean !!! I had depression too and my home used to get messy, I find comfort knowing that I wasn't the only one struggling. Kiss from paris !
You are an angel in every way! Your hard work, selfless giving of yourself and time, your compassion for others and your amazing inspiration to all of your viewers is true blessing!
Amazing. Love your attitude. You are not judgemental, just wanting to help when it gets too much. After a bad 2 years with eyes and general health, I'm a multiple stroke survivor , i am starting to get my mojo back. I do a little at a time. One small area at a time.
Yay😌😃!! I’ve been on pins and needles waiting!! I was worried when u didn’t post yesterday!! Love your videos so much! Keep up the amazing work Auri! You’re a true angel 😇
What an amazing cleaning!!! Loved the video. It would be awesome to see how you clean or sanitize your tools after these cleanings, or what you do with them. I love your channel so so much!!! 💕
She's mentioned before that, for the most part, she runs them through the dishwasher on the hottest setting possible. The nice thing about a squeegee is it doesn't really get dirty itself. You just wipe it off. So really all she gets dirty is microfiber cloths and sponges. Both are easy to clean. Sponges you can easily clean out with a little bit of bleach and water. A little bit of water in the sink, about a cap full of bleach, and leave them all in there overnight to clean. It'll kill all bacteria on the sponges and also clean the sink. For the cloths you could do the same if they're not dyed. Otherwise you can seriously just throw them in the washer/dryer. Wash on the hottest setting and dry on a low setting. For anything seriously soiled it's likely best to just throw it out. Which she mentions that a lot of times she does throw out cloths/sponges that are just too beyond.
@@Eventide215 Aww thank you so much for your reply!! I appreciate the time and effort you took to write it out 🙂 I’ve definitely heard her mention most of those on her voiceovers! With my original comment, I was more so hoping to see Auri do tool cleanings on video for a sort of body doubling, visual effect. I feel like it could be even more inspiring to not only hear about it, but to also see it~*
I am loving that you are doing the before and after so much longer now!! It is my favourite part!! I tend to clean while you are and listen to your voice... then sit down and watch the before and after!!
Auri, You are a very special person. I don’t know anyone like you. You have the willpower/determination to clean these homes and your attitude is so happy it’s amazing
these videos always remind me of my younger self, when I was suffering like that too. It's so hard breaking out of this circle, but it is not impossible. I think the most major reason for people like us is the way society treats depressions. Too many are still viewing it as a mere mood that can be brushed off easily or that just goes away. Phrases like "this gives me depressions" or "this makes me depressed" because of small things like i.e. you've just spilled your cup of coffee all over your desk doesn't really help to understand that depressions are a real disease. And that makes it hard for people to admit this to others, to ask for help. As someone who has taken the step to ask for help, I can just encourage everyone to do the same. Look for a therapist. If the first one isn't the right one, that's okay, find another one. Took me a while too to finally find one who really helped me. It can be exhausting but it's worth it. That first step is hard and seems impossible but it is absolutely possible. Remember the first step in changing is wanting to change and admitting you need help.
I love the transition 😍 the turn around is amazing! I struggle with depression as well and my house can get bad sometimes (not like this bad but bad for my standards) and it's a blessing when my mom comes to help. Bless your hearts for helping them restart!!
I love all your videos, I struggle with depression recently due to a traumatic event. When I start to feel like its too much I deep clean a room in my home. When I take a break to eat I watch one of your videos and it gives me rejuvenated motivation to clean. I never thought about using dish soap for washing the floor, don't have a floor drain so hopefully it will still be fun to clean ☺️
After watching your videos I sit here crying.... And I have sent you an email... You're probably the only persons who doesn't judge people who are suffering so much.... And this is one of the most respectful channels on TH-cam.
I used to think I wanted to hear the stories behind these messy situations but I was wrong. It is depressing and overshadows the upbeat cleaning you do that brings so much hope and inspiration.
also, this big clean isn't helping the root cause at all, and i'm sure in 6 months the place will be a mess again. sorry to be cynical but so many here seem to think this big clean up will "save" the person. Nope, they need help, either therapy or make more effort. everyday, tiny steps. like recovering from addiction, it's tiny steps every day.
I love your videos so much! I worked as a cleaner for around 2 years and these videos make me want to be a cleaner again 😂 you do such an amazing thing for these people and by showing how easy it is to clean you must help so many more! ❤
This is amazing you girls did a wonderful job. Praying they both get help for their depression. As I myself am a depressed person, it can be very hard to cope. Keep doing your blessing to others. Thanks for sharing.
I have depression (and anxiety, PTSD, and OCD...grrrr). Since coming here I have added cleaning something small and easy to my depression self care list. I like cleaning the sink with Power Paste. It is easy and smells nice. I like washing my sheets too...I like the smell of the detergent.
I think so too, I use to wash my clothes and use softener thas smells really good and hang them in my apartment,,, the whole apartment then smells good.

Hello Bonnie ! So nice of you to come helping Aurikatariina ! I'm sure that, with two of you, it will be more easier, more faster and.... More funny !!!
I remember when I was at my lowest point of depression. I was starting to become a hoarder. I had no energy, lived in my bed and we couldnt even see the floor anymore. My mom and I were very much aware of what a hoarder is, and once she came over and bluntly told me that I was becoming one. It was hurtful as fuck, but very much needed to be said. I spent the next 6+ months afterward cleaning and decluttering my home when I had a bit of energy. It used to be so dirty and yucky.. It kind of still is because I have many pets, and still have a lot of items, but it's all stuff that I use and I'm no longer accumulating trash and food bits and stuff like that everywhere. I went to therapy, to the doctor almost every week for my mental health, and I feel so much better already! Even tho hoarding trash, items and grime is awful, I totally understand the vicious cycle and how detrimental it is to wake up every morning in absolute filth. I never plan on going back to that nightmarish lifestyle and work to the best of my abilities to get better with time. It is very comforting to see people like Aurikatariina helping people in need to declutter homes and NOT judging them. You really can't fully understand the mind of a hoarder until you become one, but I feel like Aurikatariina has that instinct of understanding people's difficult life situations without living them herself. All of those videos "shaming" hoarders and addictions DO NOT HELP, they just discourage the people even more from getting help because they fear to be ridiculed.
This one was especially unusual because it didn’t have clutter, just garbage. I am so glad they have been helped. I hope they are better able to manage now. It is a very nice apartment with great light coming in and the beautiful trees outside. It looks great!
As someone who lives in the U.K., I always get so shocked at how thin the mattresses are in Finnish homes. That’s literally what we’d call a mattress topper. Crazy how different some places are from others for certain things. My bad back would be screaming if I tried to sleep on so thin a surface but I’d bet there’s probably a far lower statistic of back pain in Finland than here in the U.K..
@@emmaSWathome I can barely fit a TOILET BRUSH in my bathroom, there’s no room for a toilet roll cabinet, let alone a washing machine. I’d kill for a floor drain though.
That thin thing is a mattress topper, the top gray part is a mattress and the bottom gray part (the bed frame) usually has springs or something like that as well so it acts as a second mattress. Thinness of the mattress topper makes it easier to keep clean, some of them can be washed in washing machine. But it is also something we finns have gotten used to, so it might feel as too little cushioning to sleep on for others.
It's kinda cool getting to see how different houses look in Finland. I'm American, so that's what I am use to. Like I think the way the bathrooms are set up is really interesting!
We had so much fun!!!😍😍

I spent all day cleaning and going through my moms things. I ended up taking the day off work today to finish it all. And this i discovered your channel so I was cleaning and listening to you clean at the same time. It was really emotionally draining but sometimes just your bright happy voice helped me keep going. Thats so amazing, I’m also proud of you!
She is proud😇
She'd be rightfully proud, so follow her lead! My condolences on your loss, but at the same time congrats on this extraordinary feat, Kate.
Thank you for assisting the cleaner, that shows real caring feelings for the sufferer.
❤️❤️❤️❤️
❤❤❤❤❤❤ very nice job good 👍❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊
My fear, having had experience with a relative hoarder, that they won’t keep it clean going forward…And will they wash the clothes.and the dishes?
i love how you never pass judgement no matter how bad a house is and instead use it as an opportunity to teach people how to deal with the mess.
i always think the wet room-type bathrooms are so cool. they seem so much more practical than what we have in the states
It's starting to become common even here in the states. It makes sense to build the wettest room in the house to be made for wetness and easy to clean.
I wish I had this type of bathroom but also with a tub for soaking! Wouldn't that be amazing? 🥰🥰🥰
Yes but if
That drain in the floor gets clogged easily due to construction failures it sucks...
For everyone speaking German - an alternative to Powerpaste is called Scheuermilch, also available from ecological brands. Happy cleaning :)
Edit: someone in the comments said that the "Putzstein" by Dr. Beckmann is pretty much the same thing as Powerpaste (and I cehcked, it's cheaper)
Edit2: I also found the eco version, "Reinigungspaste" by Planet Pure, the same as Powerpaste, similar price

Stay strong, you're doing great ❤️
Bless your heart sweetie. You should be SO proud of yourself 💓💓💓
We all feel like that once in awhile but we get going again!
Be proud of yourself! You are finding the strength to do it, so you are doing fine. Don’t give up, look forward!
She’s been depressed herself😇
The way you say “squee-ghee” is very endearing and brings a smile to my face. I watch just to hear you say it! Don’t ever change it!
You can make a victim out of anyone couldn't you?
@@ASmith-jn7kf Seriously? Victim, how? By having depression? By recognising things that contribute to making a situation worse? What's your issue with that? At least people are recognising things and learning what they can do to improve a situation, and understanding or trying to understand what it must be like for others who are struggling. What does making snarky ignorant comments achieve? Absolutely nothing but drag people down for no reason and perpetuate more bullcrap ignorant stigma.

Your videos are my incentive to live a minimalist lifestyle. So sad for those who live with depression. 😢😢😢
my mum had been undiagnosed all her life but it was obvious she was depressed. a single mom to eight kids, can't really blame her. my dad was a POS that abused her so while she got free, she still was battling demons. she was abused growing up too, her mom died giving birth to her and her dad left shortly after. she met him once when she was 15. hasn't seen him since, doesn't know if he's still alive or not. she's 62 now. she was raised by her white side of the family, they hated her for being indigenous. anyway, that's just a little info. what i was going to get at was that due to the poverty of her childhood she ended up becoming kind of a hoarder. our homes were never filthy to this extent (but let's be real, us younger 4 were born very close in age so she had her hands full [a year after having me she had twin boys], so there was definitely dirty walls and floorboards lol). growing up it just got worse and worse. she's gotten rid of a lot of her junk but now she's hoarding clothes. literally has boxes and totes stacked in her bedroom and basement full of them. it made me a minimalist. i have chronic depression and anxiety, seeing a messy or cluttered room stresses me out. as a teen i was similar to the people in these videos. i always had a gross room. it definitely improved as i got older, i am 28 now and for my bedroom i only have a dresser, a wall shelf, my bed, and my computer desk with only my computer on it. my laundry can't even be out or i get stressed so i have to put my baskets in my closet so avoid a breakdown. my apartment is similar. i have a tiny bit of clutter that i am fine with - plants make a great clutter that doesn't stress me out. i wish people would realize living in those conditions can really give their children or dependents ptsd. mental health is so hard to deal with. when my depression got so bad to the point where i had cockroaches in my room, my mum sent me to live with one of my older brother's and his wife. it helped a lot. went to a new school for a semester, made many great friends, actually stayed in school without dropping out or skipping a single class. if anyone dealing with that stuff at home has that kind of opportunity, please take it. it may be life-changing.
every time i watch a vid i literally go and find 3 things to put in my op-shop pile, and I clean something.
My 8 year old daughter and I love your cleaning programs. She says she thinks you are very kind for helping people. She likes when you put the cling film and oven cleaner over the hob and leave it to work. She says she wishes you would do that more often. She loves the big reveal at the end. Thank you

@@Ujuani68 Thank you very much from Vicenza, Italy!
I love the bathrooms - all tile and you can just hose the whole thing! And I love the washer/dryer combo too. Wish we had all that here in America.
the fact that people can squeegee their bathroom floors instead of having to mop and wait for it to dry…. 😭
RIGHT! i would kill for a floor drain, i wish i could just hose off the toilet so bad lmao
I know my bathroom isn’t like that and I would love to be able to spray everything done when finished. I love that part!
SO TRUE!! I'd clean my bathroom floor a lot more often if I could hose it down.
If I was building my own house I would try to make the bathroom like that
I can only imagine the relief and gratitude these clients felt when they saw this transformation. Much love.
Auri you're such a loving person! This kind of care and help is life-changing for those who receive it I'm sure
A messy person is messy in everything. From schedules to everything.
If you can do it, I can do it...thanking you for inspiration and courage to face some difficult things in life..
That was a really good idea.
I love your videos. You're an angel for helping people. Also your vids get me to clean my own house :)

I’m glad my mom helps me. It’s really nice coming home to see my room that was filled with trash and my mountain of hair clean and neat.
I’m starting to clean again, little by little. Even just taking out my trash and plates.
Few people feel like cleaning. It is a discipline developed with practice.
@@kerrytakashi12 i always start in my kitchen lol
You guys are fabulous 🥰
I use the same recipe for cleaning but I add baking soda. It's also good to use on wood, which not all cleaners are safe for.
ahhh thank you for this recipe!

Awesome job ladies! I can just imagine how good it would feel to come home and walk into such a clean home.
I love watching your cleaning videos, but even more I love the positive attitude that you have. Thank you for helping. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
You're an angel for doing this.
The way your attitude is soooo positive no matter the situation is inspiring. What a beautiful soul. Thanks g
I love your videos so much! I worked as a cleaner for around 2 years and these videos make me want to be a cleaner again 😂 you do such an amazing thing for these people and by showing how easy it is to clean you must help so many more! ❤
Auri, you are such a positive and caring person! Don’t ever lose those great qualities about yourself
Hi you are a so amazing for doing this bc you are helping😊 meny people with cleaning thank you ❤
This is amazing you girls did a wonderful job.
Yes ! It's really satisfying to us to watch. We see all these surfaces gradually becoming more clean and white as the snow ! It's beautiful to see ! You really two beautiful cleaning fairies ! Thank you for all the good vides you bring to all the persons you help 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
You two are amazing ! Keep on doing your magic. Love from Germany
I love your energy and smile. You make a horrible situation seem so positive. You just sound so happy. Love watching your videos.
I came here to hear the word “Trashes” and I wasn’t disappointed, only 10 seconds in. Love it ❤
Hello Bonnie ! So nice of you to come helping Aurikatariina ! I'm sure that, with two of you, it will be more easier, more faster and.... More funny !!!
Auri, you have an amazing cleaning talent and I love how you use your cleaning skills to help others and benefit their lives
I hope this lady appreciate your hard work and keep clean and organized her apartment.
Yes same, and that they have a washing machine in the bathroom 🙈
@@emmaSWathome I can barely fit a TOILET BRUSH in my bathroom, there’s no room for a toilet roll cabinet, let alone a washing machine. I’d kill for a floor drain though.
@@zumazuma568 usually in the kitchen, but some have a utility room xx
That thin thing is a mattress topper, the top gray part is a mattress and the bottom gray part (the bed frame) usually has springs or something like that as well so it acts as a second mattress. Thinness of the mattress topper makes it easier to keep clean, some of them can be washed in washing machine. But it is also something we finns have gotten used to, so it might feel as too little cushioning to sleep on for others.
Where is the clothes dryer?
wow i can imagine how happy and relieved the residents must feel with this makeover! sooo incredible
I guess they cried really hard, when they saw their new home. Amazing work!!!!❤
It's kinda cool getting to see how different houses look in Finland. I'm American, so that's what I am use to. Like I think the way the bathrooms are set up is really interesting!
Another amazing video, Aurii! Looking forward to the video you filmed in England! Hope you release it soon! Sending hugs and kisses from Brazil.
You are an angel and you brought an angel friend! Thank you, Auri. Your videos mean so much to so many.
Hi Auri, can you please show the before and after pictures for a little bit longer? It is such a joy watching them.
Yes I feel the same,,,It got a bit stressed.
