Rip officers Rachel McCrow and Matthew Arnold and the neighbour who were killed when ambushed in rural Queensland. I hope the surivors are being well cared for from this traumatic experience. How terrifying.
As soon as that story started, I was so flabbergasted, I immediately typed in one of the sentences from the article to find it and read it in it's entirety and I'm so.... confused? and just shocked and I can't even really put words to it... (a kinda "irrelevant" detail, but it literally made me go "wait, what?!?" when I read it: the wife (Stacey) of the older brother (Gareth) was previously married to the younger brother (Nathaniel) and even had two kids with him, like.... wtf, just switching from one brother to the other and they were all still close? wtf???? Never heard of smth like that) But just absolutely horrible and I had to recheck twice that this happened in Australia, because that's kinda not where you would expect that to have happened... Rest in Peace to everyone (well, obviously except the three perpetrators) who passed due to this incident and a good recovery from this trauma to everyone else involved... 😥❤🩹
That first video is intense! It really shows how fear and poor judgment can escalate a situation so quickly. Maybe more training or a different role could’ve prevented such a chaotic outcome.
I think if the guy would've just clarified it was a Phone or like raise his hands and show his phone this wouldn't have happened. I mean if you see a cop why would you pull something out of ur pocket. You need to announce your pulling what ur pulling out and do it slowly. So that type of shit doesn't happen.
honest to God thank God for that ambulance medic was a veteran and noticed the panic attack and helped calm the officer down as well as stood his ground to help hold the suspect down. Honestly cops have no idea what people are reaching for and they put their lives on the line every day. they have to always be cautious and think two steps ahead.
Bruh that first video is absolutely insane. This fking guy tackles a random lady starts running away and shooting without looking her unarmed bf for filming then has a complete mental breakdown in the middle bc he’s so scared? Dude should never leave a desk or be barred from LEO jobs.
One - he had a break down after back up arrived Two - I don’t think he would be the only person who would be scared in a open field with a potentially dangerous man Three - I don’t know if you can see a man beginning to pull out a gun from a bushed area but if you can that’s really cool Four - I don’t think anyone is going to let the guy potentially pull a gun
@@allisone6417 Maybe he just started? I dunno. Either way it’s a skill we deal with over time. If this were to happen for a second time then I would agree but for now I will assume it’s a guy who just started and if I’m being honest, he was put in a high stress situation and stayed calm until back up arrived
You would judge and trash talk cops in such situations and yet you wont have the balls to face off a situation even remotely similar to this and would just spam 911.
The first video goes to show you that you won’t know how your mind and body will react when you are fired at and that adrenaline starts pumping … this is why training and the most realistic training possible must be provided to all officers and in my opinion all people who own a gun. Shawn Ryan from the Shawn Ryan show just had on two men who have teamed up to offer the most up to date realistic active shooter training where you will actually be shot at and you won’t know when it’s coming and it will hurt (won’t kill you) this needs to be done at the police academy to weed out people who will react like this man did. It is normal to have adrenaline pumping this is what happens in a fight or flight moment and then an adrenaline dump after the perceived threat is done. The only way to know how you would handle and operate in this situation is to make the training as realistic as possible. Even then it is still not going to be as real but it’s better than running around with pretend guns doing drills where you know what’s coming next.
My dad, his dad, and his dad before were all the County Sheriff of their Texas towns.. they all died peacefully as very old men with grateful, loving families by their sides. I wish this for you and all our good law enforcement families out there.
