Loved seeing the trolleys and produce left blocking self checkouts and isles i always use cash and am normally made to feel awkward. I left my trolley with my Groceries in , as I walked by I waved my cash and said it's normally an inconvenience to you, love to see the inconvenience returned whilst you put ALL THAT SHOPPING BACK ON THE SHELVES. I CANT STOP SMILING NOW. Any service provider who takes CARD ONLY NEEDS TO REVISIT THEIR DECISIONS NOW !!!! It's only gonna get worse, there are going to be power cuts this winter due to the new government policy GOOD LUCK

What about if you lose your card, it gets stolen etc , what will you do then !
What about the fact that the bank can suspend your card at will !
This is all leading to control of your financial activity and ultimately
your behaviour. Ultimately this will be used to control you yourselves,
consider committing a speeding offence or minor infringement like
not paying a bill on time, the banks / Government can and will
use this power over you and myself to gain the control they desire.
It's not a game people, time to wake up !!
START USING CASH OR SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES.

Imagine if they ban cash altogether... We are so now utterly dependant on "the net", that when it goes wrong, which it does, the midde class are plunged into chaos as their avacado's and bottled water become scarce..

Basic services should NOT be a profit-driven enterprise. You then risk the option of taking those services away, or falling victim to profit-chasing rather than doing a good job. Performance in the stock market does not necessarily reflect performance at what you're supposed to be doing.

If the U.K goes digital all the small independent retailers will close down, the cash they currently take home every evening will be no more. Brings to mind when the U.K went decimal and Harold Wilson said "it will not make any difference to the pound in your pocket" Yeh sure Harold! The price of everything went up!

At least with cash I'm only spending the money that I've got and I'm not racking rack up debt spending money on cards I haven't got. In the old days it was called buying on the slate or tick because you couldn't afford to pay . It's so easy just to stick it on the card ,that's why some people get thousands into debt and can't keep up with the repayments. Just think if you had to pay for every little item you bought separately and have to go through your monthly bill with a fine tooth comb to make sure it's correct, you could end up with a bill as long as your arm To go through.

The reality is a virtual cashless bank has excellent security but the further away the client in terms of technology is from that bank the less the security is, where is in a brick and mortar bank the clients shares the security with the bank.
