This is a way old thread but, I just thought, after watching her for the first time, that PJ HArvey.... yes, and yet no. She was definitely digging deeper into her toolbox on this track than deserving to get compared early PJ (who is hallowed in my book) but she's surfing through some deep emotions on this track. Her own thing. Pretty intense. This is dark like PJ likes to go but it's a subtle and violent at the same time. Not sure why we're bothering to compare her to anything. She's dealing with her own shit on this and we watch.

she was the opening act for Calexico back in 2001 ( saw her raw talent on stage back than ) .
More a female version of Chokebore. She has her own style.
@@BlueHopi144 she was the opener for Sleater-Kinney way back in the day, too. That's where I became a fan on the spot.
