It bugs me that the media is often saying that people who are Depps "Fans" are supporting him. Not so. You don't need to be his fan to understand that he is being thrown under the bus by this person. He is definitely not perfect, but he doesn't deserve this. Imagine going through a trial like this at this point of your life and having to sit and listen to such horrible allegations thrown at you in front of the whole world. I despise mean girls, and she's the meanest.
I think I've seen him in only one movie (Benny and June) so it isn't like I'm some huge fan but it didn't take long before I realized he was the victim. It's so clear!

I think she feels anger, jealousy and envy pretty well. It's hard to fake trauma, but the fact she is an 'actress' and she couldn't squeeze out one tear talking about horrific abuse shows how 1. it's not true and 2. how terrible of an actress she really is
As a female, I see through her deception. I see that she is acting. Funny how she can be so sad on the stand but when she gets outside she's giggling and laughing and walking to the car. You don't flip your emotions that quick unless you're playing them.
The fact that so many survivors of abuse are standing with Johnny, says a lot. Also many male victims are reaching out for help because of Johnny, and he’s doing a great thing for the world to understand domestic and sexual violence. There is no gender.

She made him so very depressed, so hopeless.. and that will fuel anyone with an addiction problem.. she asked him to give her all his properties & vehicles while they were together, he lavished upon her during their time together.. 2,000 in red wine a day... she made millions from the divorce & other settlements, now she has drained him dry from court costs & attorney fees, after falsely destroying his reputation & causing him to be unable to work. She is a vile, vile human being and is doing such a disservice to women/men who have truly been abused.
Everyone said the wedding was very rushed and out of the blue (with what I learned now my guess is to avoid that there would be a prenup). As soon as she became aware (while they were married) that there was a prenup she started with this. But watching his testimony and the witness testimony that they never saw her with a mark on her I'm convinced she was the abuser. He always walked away from it when it got to be too much. She wouldn't let it drop.

Yup. She fucked up to. She mentioned Kate moss and johnnys lawyer did a “hell yeah, we got her” motion on the side. Now they are allowed to use her testimony as an ex girl friend I believe since she mentioned her in her testimony.
I think Depp's lawyers are now in a state of peak joy, because her testimony is so over the top. They can pick and choose a half dozen key contradictions that demonstrate her unreliability and her compulsive ability to invent realities. And with the borderline and histeronic diagnoses, it is all consistent. We can have pity for her, but after this nothing she says will be believed, and so its not the 50 million dollars, but he got to tell his sober story, and she gets to tell her lies, and the world will see through them.
nobody would go to court if there was actual evidence against them. and victims wouldnt want to dismiss such a case if they have proof theyd be like yes lets go to trial so i can get this evidence out there to f**k u up. but since she doesnt have evidence... looks real bad for her. ill always stand with johnny!
She won't win anything, no matter what the verdict. Johnny doesn't need the money, he just wants people to know the truth of his relationship with Amber, and I think he's won big time in that respect. There are weeks worth of supportive oral and written comments available for him to watch and read after the trial is over.
This! Defamation suits are notoriously difficult to win (more so than libel suits and especially if you’re a public figure.) I’m confident Depp fought so hard to have this trial publicized because he knew he was in the right and that the public would see the evidence (and egregious lack there-of) for what it was. A very smart move, in my opinion. Let this remind us that the best way to support victims of sexual assault is to refrain from involving ourselves or attacking others until evidence is shared.

This is very true. I could have sued an employer for rabid discrimination but was so upset (they trashed seven years of college in a second) that I knew I'd be unable to sit through a trial.

But I really dislike all these comments that are like "oh she didn't act like how I acted after my abuse so, she must be lying, " News flash, every person is different. Reacts and perceives trauma differently. Please stop saying that they are lying simply because they didn't act like you. I'm not talking about amber here. It's fairly visible that she's the abuser here. But not all people who were actually abused react the way you reacted.
After trying civil cases for 25 years, I have never seen a witness that is this upset, crying, hyperventilating, unable to speak, etc. and the judge or counsel not inquire as to whether she is okay or whether she needs a break to recompose herself. This tells me neither the judge nor any of her lawyers believed it.
I didn’t think of that at all!! They must not believe it. Also, what gets me is just the various ways that both her and JD presented their information. Maybe I’m wrong, though I noticed that JD was very straight forward and logical with his experiences and any combats he needed to say with any questions he was asked. However, with Amber, she was very emotional with her statements and talked more about how she felt rather than what occurred during those moments or answering to questions.
Like, I totally understand that DV is a emotional topic to bring up and even talk about yet, in a court of law, I assume that if they really believe in what they say, they would be as logical and straightforward as possible. My last part could be very wrong, but that’s how I see it.

Amber's side wants emotion, they want to make it very difficult for a jury to turn her away, to say no, we don't believe you. I think, however, she overplayed her hand and went way too far. I suppose that is good, because if they think she lied about one incident, then they might be more inclined to lie about it all. Depp's side has been calm but it s time to step up the cross-examinations. They need to destroy her credibility, which should be easy to do with all the different versions of allegations she has claimed, lack of a single instance of physical medical treatment for all the alleged injuries and, thus far, lack of evidence in support of the abuse. With as much abuse as she described, there should be substantial evidence of it, but I haven't seen any. A few photos of bruising doesn't match up with what she described. We will see.
If one looks at the transcript of her speech, hers will appear very theatrical and over dramatic for a court testimony. She is in full propaganda mode for the jurors. The fact this trial has been over-publicised and broadcast online so anyone can form his or her own opinion on what might have happened is a clear win for Depp's team.
So as only one jury member needs to be convinced by her acting, there is a real chance Johnny Depp is losing the case, but maybe the aim was from the beginning on, just to expose her; and is already achieved. He does not need the 50 million.

I think Johnny Depps team will go the direction you mentioned. And they will dig deeper in the fact that none of the testimonies she speaks of are still alive or can be found.
It's also good to notice that when Heard is "recalling" things she looks straight at the jury. And that's a clear exemple of somebody lying. Because when one are trying to remember, they usually try not to look at anything that may distract them. Looking straight in the eyes is a manipulative gesture to convince people that you're telling the truth and also to spot instantly if your lies are not believed, to adapt quicker. And Johnny doesn't do that. He looks anywhere but the jury. The most he looks up during the AB parts of his testimony is towards his lawyers - a gesture of seeking comfort and reassurance, which is clear indication of him telling the truth.
The most telling part of this to me is the way she can easily start and stop her emotions! There was a moment where her attorney said wait while she was “sobbing” and she stopped! Immediately stopped! Who stops crying like that?

This happens all the time to men, I personally have had my abusive mother and two ex girlfriends attack me first and then play the victim on Facebook when they get hit back and are automatically believed by the masses. True victims don't immediately take to social media to try and destroy someone's reputation.

Then when the cops got there, they arrested me saying I was the aggressor when I had the bruises on my arm to prove the attack... Not only that, my cousin was there and saw the whole thing! What makes me the most angry about this case is how Amber Heard has made more difficult for female victims to come forward now! Victims of abuse rarely lie because the repercussions are usually bad, but this psychopath took a cultural moment (the first time women had more chance to be believed) and used it in her favor! She, as a Hollywood actress with incredible privilege, used all her contacts and money to fabricate a lie and a story and publicized it! The fact that she is the real abuser makes it so much worse! I have already seen many credible and real victims get doubted (more than before) because of her, because "haven't you heard about Amber Heard?". The damage she has done is not only to Johnny Depp. She, as someone famous and this being a high profile case, has damaged female survivors everywhere as well.
The most important thing I noticed: When Amber was acting out the scene of violent interactions, her body would mimick the abuser , holding her hand up, gesturing a punch with an angry face, waving a fist etc, but with johnny, he was acting by holding his hands up to him, in a protective way, cuddling himself and his head, immediately when he says hit, his body tensed up and protected itself.
Yes. I'm a trauma recovery therapist and when a victim is retelling a traumatic event, they tell it as if in the third party. They actually don't get emotional because they disassociate from it. Johnny retold it as a story, he was detached from it just as a trauma victim would be but his body language was proving he was reliving it...
She has been recorded saying that she is pissed that Johnny would always attempts to remove himself from her anger. She said that he was a wussy and needed to stay and fight. In this testimony I think she is acting as though she was Johnny.
I am a survivor of spouse abuse. My husband was wareing just one ring, and hit me in the face, just one time. Broke my cheek bone, broke my nose, both eyes black and blue, the whites of my eyes were blood red for over 6 weeks. She wants me to believe she was hit repeatedly by a man wareing many rings on both hands. She went on a talk show, took pictures of everything, where are these photos. She is definitely telling a lie. Shame on her, she is taking so much away from true abuse survivors. Shame on you Amber.
I am really sorry to hear you have gone through it.. This case will never take anything away from the abuse survivors, I would not think differently and judge anyone to raise an abuse.

She has read how to act like a victim..... she has read various texts as in books, movie scripts, etc of victims, of situations such as laying on an authentically DIRTY CARPET, or a yard with grass that a person who is suddenly hyper aware is noticing..... but, Amber's description of the carpet was not from her personal experience..... she was not telling it from her personal experience... Amber appeared to be repeating what another person had recounted about their personal experience, not Amber's own... Amber was only applying what she had read to make it seem more plausible, more interesting, and to draw the audience into the moment Amber's problem is that she feels so much more knowledgeable and for so many years she's gotten away with her antagonizing remarks, arrogance and bullying that she feels truly invincible, as though no one is going to notice or figure out what she's doing because Amber believes that she, Amber, is so good at it. Amber is overlooking the reality that across the world actual body language experts, forensic investigators, criminologists, FBI agents and body language experts are watching just to put their own expertise to use and get a bit of notoriety from others whether it is the group at the pub, social followers or actual income created from their opinions.... Bruising is the most common side-effect associated with fillers, especially when injected into the lips or tear troughs. Bruising is a perfectly normal response to injections of any kind; we stress to our patients that they should not be concerned if do bruise a little.

Let me ask you: if given a reason and an opportunity, would you be willing to explain in such graphic detail what your abuser did to you? Would you be willing, even eager, to tell the entire world what he or she did to you? Would you even be able to? I imagine the experience was somewhat traumatizing. Surely it would be very, very hard to have to relive those things. I imagine you've probably tried to forget, as well. If you answered negatively to any of these questions, we have a problem. Real survivors wouldn't have such an incredible memory of everything that happened to them and wouldn't be able to tell their story to millions of people on live TV without any visible difficulty.

I think thats the reason why Johnny wanted the trial was public. Even if for some reason he loses, the people can see the truth by his own, hearing both sides of the story and make his own judgement. No, I’ve been with abusers and I absolutely believe her stories of the extreme craziness and abuse. It takes 2 tango, and her fault is that she was really really young and fell in love with a cross-addicted alcoholic, and she didn’t know how to get out of it fast enough.

I lived in fear of an abusive partner for over a year. She’s not recounting these stories in a way that is reliving actual trauma, she’s recounting them how SHE THINKS a trauma victim would. Sexual violence is shameful & embarrassing & traumatic-you don’t switch from upset to calm that fast. She’s acting, & it’s bad acting at that.
I said that she must have read up on DV, as her tone is like she is reading from a book and no real emotion. As a survivor and free for over 4 years, I still cannot speak about it without hanging my head

I strongly feel that anyone who is a victim or survivor of abuse knows she’s not being truthful. One thing that stood out to me was how she said something about looking for his patterns. I remember doing everything I could not to upset him, his mood didn’t matter. She didn’t describe that feeling. She was also not afraid to have a man come to her home while her husband was away. That would never happen with an abusive partner who could access elevator video footage any time he wanted. There’s a lot that doesn’t sit right with me about her story.
I was married to an abuser. It is definitely hard to talk about it specially when it's very traumatic. I was beatin so many times that I hide myself to everyone even my family and it took me 15 yrs to tell my bestfriend that I'm being abused by my husband at that time cause I was embarrassed. So for her to sit in that stand and tell it all is noy REAL!!! I DONT THINK she is telling the truth at all. Liars shrug shoulders and moved their body's like they have ADHD! Anyway I'm not saying I'm proud of JD, I'm saying it's not right to humiliate your partner like that in public. She should know better if your intention in a marriage is right.

The lack of tears, the over the top salacious stories with nothing but staged photos to attempt to back her stories up and no evidence, the countless eyewitnesses testifying they never saw any marks or swelling on her, it goes on and on. They even found a modeling photo of her Loreal campaign where her knuckles had scabs (hope this is shown on cross).

no I think what it is, is really confirmation. We (most of us) intuitively know that something doesn't match up with her words and expressions. Some strange uncanny words and emotions are displayed somewhat... but for whatever reason you're not convinced. (some are convinced, hopefully not enough to make a difference).
an expert is needed when you want to exactly point what signals the person is giving when talking and what that means we can all see that she is faking and not even crying, but that's too simple that's like sending a car to the mechanic and he only tells you "yeah, it's not turning on"... They are psychologists and they only hear one side of a story. We can see here how correct she was. This is how an actual investigator reacts to Amber's stories, compared to Amber's psychologist Dr. Hughes, who, without having heard or seen anything but Amber's version, said that she is "certain" that Amber is the victim and that Johnny, who she doesn't know, is the abuser. There is such a giant difference between the professionalism of Dr. Curry and Dr. Hughes, that it is hard to believe they have the same job.
Hughes makes money by testimonies and by making defense stories for women's who hurt or kill their husbands while abusing them That is her entire job to side with thise types of women.

@@hastaloswebos7646 she didn't actually deny that men can be victims, she was asked by Amber's lawyer if men can also be victims of IPV and she said "absolutely". The main problem is that she did all the wrong things a person in her line of work could do (forensic psychologist) - she was heavily gender biased, she had questionable collaterals in her "investigation" on Amber's allegations of IPV and generally looked like she just took Amber's word and deemed it that Johnny is the abuser. The biggest thing that actually pissed me off is that she said Dr. Curry performed the CAPS5 test wrong, yet when Johnny's lawyer started to showcase her CAPS5 test, it was full of holes and basically done completely wrong.
The tears voice with no tears, the incredible change in tone and facial expressions when questions were paused. Her constant looking around the room for validation. Trying to convince the jury with trying to make eye contact. She added things to her testimony she never said before. She keep hammering his drug use which is an already well known fact it was redundant. Biggest thing for me. WHY would you MARRY a guy who has been abusive to you for years, let her tell it. Ii was a victim of domestic violence and I never spoke or did anything to escalate things. I sat quietly until I got the opportunity to escape. I can't count the times I grabbed my baby and my dogs and ran. My Father was also a victim. My Mother just went at him relentlessly for hours and he took it all of his life. I begged him to leave but he never did.
Most abuse victims won't "almost cry" talking about it. They don't try to hold it back, especially if they're giving testimony. It's trauma. Feelings associated with trauma are difficult to control. Also, a truly traumatized person won't hold their head up so high; literally looking down their nose as if to do so in condescension to their abuser, as we see Amber do here. If this jury doesn't see beyond this, it will be the biggest miscarriage of justice.
It’s either they fall apart or show very little to no emotion not somewhere in between. Some trauma survivors have difficulty even having emotions at all anymore. But usually that also comes with big gaps in memory. She apparently remembers the detail of the carpet and her breathe leaving fog on the window. And you are spot on about the looking down part. She has glared at him a few times and he has t given her one look. Just looks down.
Exactly. I know a few victims myself and NONE of them would even DARE to stand up to their abuser like that. Abuse is about fear. If there's no fear, it's not abuse...it's a battle. Her body language alone suggest that, EVEN IF Johnny abused her, she abused him as well. The only possible explanations are: Amber was the abuser, or they both were. I vote for the former.

Honestly, I've been really triggered by her. I'm a SA victim (my uncle assaulted me as a teen). There is not one single victim that i know (joined several support groups) that begged their abuser to stay, or even speak like her. I literally changed continents to get away from my abuser and family. She's a disgrace to true victims! I'm so disgusted by her.

The way she glares at him ..I can say that sitting on the stand after my incident..I couldn't even look at the person who assaulted me. I was too scared..I couldn't even look at jury it was hard to keep my composure on the stand, while talking about it, without breaking down. I felt humiliated and a sense of shame at that time . There is no way this women could have possibly been through anything near what she is stating..IMO (as a survivor).

I am a child trauma "survivor" (you don't really survive it, you endure it daily). I have been through many group therapies, and private therapies - and I can tell you, NO ONE talked like her. AT ALL. She is not a victim. Most victims (especially kids, so this is my experience) don't take pictures of their abuser because they are terrified to get caught. They'll have friends do it and save the photos at their house when they're adults, or at least go somewhere -- and again, not all people do that either - but they don't sit there and claim someone passed out is showing that they are abusive.... She doesn't talk, act, move, or sound like a victim when they recount a story. My husband knows my story, and just STARTING the story of the time my mom locked me in a closet for the weekend makes me cry just THINKING about it, and it takes me a bit of coaching to get through it, because it;s like "Do I really have to keep going? I've lived it - so can I stop now?" Her pants a BLAZING because of how on fire they are. Liar liar liar liar liar liar liar. You're using actual victims to make yourself a quick buck, AND making us all look like over-indulgent liars. Shame on you, Amber.
And if a victim does get the story out without crying, they tend to talk more slowly, in a lower, more somber tone. She's talking so fast and is so animated. It's weird. It's hollow. It's funny how we all just know instinctively this woman is lying,. And damn her for making it harder for women to be believed. I want to have some compassion for her because she's not well; she clearly has borderline and histrionic personality disorder, but it's hard to feel compassion for someone who doesn't take responsibility and continues to be so destructive. I agree with most of what you said! But there are victims that take pictures or videos of their abusers... (probably adult victims, I mean). Just probably not as systematic and planned as Amber has done, because everything seems very calculated with her. Please as much as I agree with your point and with most of what you said, I think let's not make general statements about victims that can invalidate other victims experiencies of domestic abuse outside of this case. I feel deeply sorry for Depp. I've went through this scenario 2 times in a row, my first 2 very abusive relationships. Both girls got a kick out of telling my closest family members what I supposedly did to them. This ranged from rape to domestic violence, psychological abuse and even "locking them up while I went out and came back drugged or drunk". I was 18-20 in the first and 20-22 in the second relationship. Fortunately, all this never went to trial. Unfortunately, I've had depressions paired with a light form of PTSD that caused even worse depressions after all those incidents. Eventually, I even became aggressive and started getting into fights and other illegal stuff. I lost my hope in humanity and hated myself for living on this planet. I hated every single person around me, after some took the side of my exes. It's especially unbelievable for some if it happens twice in a row. And what I just said was only the tip of the iceberg. There's lots of stuff that I never told anyone. Some of those scars and events are buried deep inside me. Thank God I am now married to a wonderful woman who knows all of this and knows my true self. The process of healing from all of this is not over yet, and I turn 30 this year. *I hope that Depp will get all the strength and support he needs. And I hope he won't fall into a depression as deep as I did. I almost didn't come back...*

There was something about that personality type you found attractive. Initially they’ll charm the pants off you though (actually quite literally 😂) and like previous person said, these personality types are drawn towards empathetic people, because they are like vampires. Those types of comments you are referring to are known as “disclaimers” in psychological terminology. I mean, is she trying to disclaim herself? For example, she used a whole LOT of disclaimers like, “As stupid as that may seem now…” or “And I don’t know why I thought it would be a good idea to do___ with him, I thought, oh maybe THIS time…it was the first and last time…”. I call her out for abuse of disclaimers, too. 😂.

This is my take on her testimony!! So peep this! Usually when a person cries their tear ducts produce tears and the nose becomes runny. Upon releasing the tears she supposedly displayed you did not see any water falling on her blouse today, nor did you see a runny, runny nose. She would pull out a tissue today on Thursday cry but not wipe her eyes with it! After she gave it some thought she would put the tissue to her nose. Not once on Wednesday did she use any Kleenex. She used her hands to wipe away supposedly tears. Pay attention to her body language how she remains on a topic for a extremely long time. The chick is lying!! The comment was made that "if 1 juror believes her, she will win this case." Wrong! This is not a criminal case where all 12 jurors have to agree on a verdict. Instead, it's a civil case where 8 of the 12 jurors have to agree on a verdict.
Apparently in the Virginia Civil Circuit Court a Jury size is of 5 individuals and the decision must be unanimous and they will remain in deliberations untill the decision is unanimous.

Having heard the tapes of her conversations long before the trial, I was convinced that AH was the abuser, but I wanted to hear her testimony with an open mind. It's difficult to believe her anything with her shifty eyes, exaggerated facial expressions, and her rapid mood changes, but that could just be her current baseline, i.e., her normal demeanour. While I believe that JD had to use some physical force to defend himself and may have have pushed her while having lost his temper, I think AH definitely overplayed her hand. She claimed to have figured out his "patterns" to the point of being able to predict when something bad was going to happen, yet was never able to record any of the alleged violence. She claimed to have been beaten by him in a way that would have left severe marks from the rings on his fingers. Yet, none of the witnesses (not even the witnesses not employed by JD) ever saw any injuries. She accused him of being "such a baby" because he avoids physical fights, yet none of his attempts to leave a fight made it into her testimony. Her account comes across as being too black and white to be true. It is very obviously an incomplete account, but because it is so implausible, given other independent testimony, it is almost certain that it is false. In addition to her over the top performance, she's inconsistent: She testified that she was not sure about the object she felt (during the alleged "bottle" incident) and that she figured it out based on a "bottle shape" picture she just had seen a couple of days before, although she had told the "bottle" story a long time ago already. She first testified that the she did not remember what JD said during the incident but minutes later, when asked, responds he told her he "will kill" her. She claims she "obviously" wanted to leave the island after incident while several witnesses testified how difficult it was for them to get her off the island. I also find her portrayal of being a blue-eyed, helpless, and traumatised victim to be completely over the top and wildly incongruent with her demeanour in her 2016 deposition where she came across as snarky, spoiled, and aggressive. She did not seem one bit traumatised back then. People can change over time, but this kind of personality change seems entirely implausible. In short, while there may be elements of truth to what she reports, she's putting on such a show that everything she says becomes suspect.
Succinct words. I like JD but if he ever committed abuse towards her or any other woman, I wouldn't like him anymore. I wanted to hear AH because I thought "hey, maybe Johnny made this up, after all". But. The twisting is being done by her lawyers, the rudeness from them too, the delaying of bringing evidence. Also, her 2016 videos... I mean, what? So, she suddenly has PTSD. Ok, it could happen. Heard the forensic witness and... Something sounded fishy. Ok, she's talking with so much authority as if she witnessed this - so it could be JD is lying, I thought. Let's listen to her testimony. And. We get this. I couldn't watch it. I felt she was lying and lying and lying. And I could feel it. Victims of DV, SA all over TH-cam are saying: This woman is lying. If so many people are all saying the same thing, and they themselves have been victims of DV, SA - one has to think. Let justice be done

I’ve shared some of my experiences and heard others’ share theirs’, and the pattern is always the same. She is denigrating every true survivor of trauma with all this folderol, imo.
I couldn't bring myself to be in the same room as my abuser. It took me years and years to even talk about it. Even now if I have to talk about it I tremble feel sick and cry. She is false.
Really good point. It amplifies why Heard was abusive - she sees trauma in everyday life and strikes out in retaliation. For instance, the first day, she talked about how isolating it was to be with Depp at his various homes. Right after, she stated how cozy it was. At some point, she realized she had contradicted herself and tried to figure out how to account for both statements. But what was apparent is that she wanted to blame Depp for her own negative feelings. She clearly blamed him for everything under the sun. But that's typical of abusers.

An abusive mother who always scolded and hit her husband, my father. And he couldn’t leave for the sake of me and my siblings. It was a hard life growing up. I’ve tried to avoid being with people like my mother. And Johnnys story has taught me many more examples and lessons on what to avoid.

I think Depp's lawyers are now in a state of peak joy, because her testimony is so over the top. They can pick and choose a half dozen key contradictions that demonstrate her unreliability and her compulsive ability to invent realities. And with the borderline and histeronic diagnoses, it is all consistent. We can have pity for her, but after this nothing she says will be believed, and so its not the 50 million dollars, but he got to tell his sober story, and she gets to tell her lies, and the world will see through them.

This! Defamation suits are notoriously difficult to win (more so than libel suits and especially if you’re a public figure.) I’m confident Depp fought so hard to have this trial publicized because he knew he was in the right and that the public would see the evidence (and egregious lack there-of) for what it was. A very smart move, in my opinion. Let this remind us that the best way to support victims of sexual assault is to refrain from involving ourselves or attacking others until evidence is shared.

After trying civil cases for 25 years, I have never seen a witness that is this upset, crying, hyperventilating, unable to speak, etc. and the judge or counsel not inquire as to whether she is okay or whether she needs a break to recompose herself. This tells me neither the judge nor any of her lawyers believed it.

I didn’t think of that at all!! They must not believe it. Also, what gets me is just the various ways that both her and JD presented their information. Maybe I’m wrong, though I noticed that JD was very straight forward and logical with his experiences and any combats he needed to say with any questions he was asked. However, with Amber, she was very emotional with her statements and talked more about how she felt rather than what occurred during those moments or answering to questions.
Like, I totally understand that DV is a emotional topic to bring up and even talk about yet, in a court of law, I assume that if they really believe in what they say, they would be as logical and straightforward as possible. My last part could be very wrong, but that’s how I see it.

They need to destroy her credibility, which should be easy to do with all the different versions of allegations she has claimed, lack of a single instance of physical medical treatment for all the alleged injuries and, thus far, lack of evidence in support of the abuse. With as much abuse as she described, there should be substantial evidence of it, but I haven't seen any. A few photos of bruising doesn't match up with what she described. We will see.
If one looks at the transcript of her speech, hers will appear very theatrical and over dramatic for a court testimony. She is in full propaganda mode for the jurors. The fact this trial has been over-publicised and broadcast online so anyone can form his or her own opinion on what might have happened is a clear win for Depp's team.

It's also good to notice that when Heard is "recalling" things she looks straight at the jury. And that's a clear exemple of somebody lying. Because when one are trying to remember, they usually try not to look at anything that may distract them. Looking straight in the eyes is a manipulative gesture to convince people that you're telling the truth and also to spot instantly if your lies are not believed, to adapt quicker. And Johnny doesn't do that. He looks anywhere but the jury. The most he looks up during the AB parts of his testimony is towards his lawyers - a gesture of seeking comfort and reassurance, which is clear indication of him telling the truth.

This happens all the time to men, I personally have had my abusive mother and two ex girlfriends attack me first and then play the victim on Facebook when they get hit back and are automatically believed by the masses. True victims don't immediately take to social media to try and destroy someone's reputation.

What makes me the most angry about this case is how Amber Heard has made more difficult for female victims to come forward now! Victims of abuse rarely lie because the repercussions are usually bad, but this psychopath took a cultural moment (the first time women had more chance to be believed) and used it in her favor! She, as a Hollywood actress with incredible privilege, used all her contacts and money to fabricate a lie and a story and publicized it! The fact that she is the real abuser makes it so much worse!
I have already seen many credible and real victims get doubted (more than before) because of her, because "haven't you heard about Amber Heard?". The damage she has done is not only to Johnny Depp. She, as someone famous and this being a high profile case, has damaged female survivors everywhere as well.
I will lose all hope in humanity if even one member of Jury falls for that. We are lucky in a way that her testimony was so undeniably bad.

The most important thing I noticed: When Amber was acting out the scene of violent interactions, her body would mimick the abuser , holding her hand up, gesturing a punch with an angry face, waving a fist etc, but with johnny, he was acting by holding his hands up to him, in a protective way, cuddling himself and his head, immediately when he says hit, his body tensed up and protected itself.

Yes. I'm a trauma recovery therapist and when a victim is retelling a traumatic event, they tell it as if in the third party. They actually don't get emotional because they disassociate from it. Johnny retold it as a story, he was detached from it just as a trauma victim would be but his body language was proving he was reliving it...
She has been recorded saying that she is pissed that Johnny would always attempts to remove himself from her anger. She said that he was a wussy and needed to stay and fight. In this testimony I think she is acting as though she was Johnny.
Her “acting” during the trial is so nauseating. Anyone who ever casted her, should be embarrassed.

I am a survivor of spouse abuse. My husband was wareing just one ring, and hit me in the face, just one time. Broke my cheek bone, broke my nose, both eyes black and blue, the whites of my eyes were blood red for over 6 weeks. She wants me to believe she was hit repeatedly by a man wareing many rings on both hands. She went on a talk show, took pictures of everything, where are these photos. She is definitely telling a lie. Shame on her, she is taking so much away from true abuse survivors. Shame on you Amber.

I strongly feel that anyone who is a victim or survivor of abuse knows she’s not being truthful. One thing that stood out to me was how she said something about looking for his patterns. I remember doing everything I could not to upset him, his mood didn’t matter. She didn’t describe that feeling. She was also not afraid to have a man come to her home while her husband was away. That would never happen with an abusive partner who could access elevator video footage any time he wanted. There’s a lot that doesn’t sit right with me about her story.
I was married to an abuser. It is definitely hard to talk about it specially when it's very traumatic. I was beatin so many times that I hide myself to everyone even my family and it took me 15 yrs to tell my bestfriend that I'm being abused by my husband at that time cause I was embarrassed. I've watched several different body language experts and they all have said the same, that Amber is being deceptive. It's a shame because she is doing a disservice to those individuals that are victims of domestic violence.

no I think what it is, is really confirmation. We (most of us) intuitively know that something doesn't match up with her words and expressions. Some strange uncanny words and emotions are displayed somewhat... but for whatever reason you're not convinced. (some are convinced, hopefully not enough to make a difference).

They are psychologists and they only hear one side of a story. We can see here how correct she was. This is how an actual investigator reacts to Amber's stories, compared to Amber's psychologist Dr. Hughes, who, without having heard or seen anything but Amber's version, said that she is "certain" that Amber is the victim and that Johnny, who she doesn't know, is the abuser. There is such a giant difference between the professionalism of Dr. Curry and Dr. Hughes, that it is hard to believe they have the same job.
Hughes makes money by testimonies and by making defense stories for women's who hurt or kill their husbands while abusing them

@@hastaloswebos7646 she didn't actually deny that men can be victims, she was asked by Amber's lawyer if men can also be victims of IPV and she said "absolutely". The main problem is that she did all the wrong things a person in her line of work could do (forensic psychologist) - she was heavily gender biased, she had questionable collaterals in her "investigation" on Amber's allegations of IPV and generally looked like she just took Amber's word and deemed it that Johnny is the abuser.
The biggest thing that actually pissed me off is that she said Dr. Curry performed the CAPS5 test wrong, yet when Johnny's lawyer started to showcase her CAPS5 test, it was full of holes and basically done completely wrong.

Ii was a victim of domestic violence and I never spoke or did anything to escalate things. I sat quietly until I got the opportunity to escape. I can't count the times I grabbed my baby and my dogs and ran. My Father was also a victim. My Mother just went at him relentlessly for hours and he took it all of his life. I begged him to leave but he never did.
It truly is disturbing to watch someone lie for hours and ruin a person's life.
Most abuse victims won't "almost cry" talking about it. They don't try to hold it back, especially if they're giving testimony. It's trauma. Feelings associated with trauma are difficult to control. Also, a truly traumatized person won't hold their head up so high; literally looking down their nose as if to do so in condescension to their abuser, as we see Amber do here. If this jury doesn't see beyond this, it will be the biggest miscarriage of justice.
It’s either they fall apart or show very little to no emotion not somewhere in between. Some trauma survivors have difficulty even having emotions at all anymore. But usually that also comes with big gaps in memory. She apparently remembers the detail of the carpet and her breathe leaving fog on the window. And you are spot on about the looking down part. She has glared at him a few times and he has t given her one look. Just looks down.

Her body language alone suggest that, EVEN IF Johnny abused her, she abused him as well. The only possible explanations are: Amber was the abuser, or they both were. I vote for the former.

Honestly, I've been really triggered by her. I'm a SA victim (my uncle assaulted me as a teen). There is not one single victim that i know (joined several support groups) that begged their abuser to stay, or even speak like her. I literally changed continents to get away from my abuser and family. She's a disgrace to true victims! I'm so disgusted by her.

There is no way this women could have possibly been through anything near what she is stating..IMO (as a survivor).

I am a child trauma "survivor" (you don't really survive it, you endure it daily). I have been through many group therapies, and private therapies - and I can tell you, NO ONE talked like her. AT ALL.
She is not a victim. Most victims (especially kids, so this is my experience) don't take pictures of their abuser because they are terrified to get caught. They'll have friends do it and save the photos at their house when they're adults, or at least go somewhere -- and again, not all people do that either - but they don't sit there and claim someone passed out is showing that they are abusive....
She doesn't talk, act, move, or sound like a victim when they recount a story. My husband knows my story, and just STARTING the story of the time my mom locked me in a closet for the weekend makes me cry just THINKING about it, and it takes me a bit of coaching to get through it, because it;s like "Do I really have to keep going? I've lived it - so can I stop now?"

I feel deeply sorry for Depp.
I've went through this scenario 2 times in a row, my first 2 very abusive relationships.
Both girls got a kick out of telling my closest family members what I supposedly did to them.
This ranged from rape to domestic violence, psychological abuse and even "locking them up while I went out and came back drugged or drunk".
I was 18-20 in the first and 20-22 in the second relationship.
Fortunately, all this never went to trial. Unfortunately, I've had depressions paired with a light form of PTSD that caused even worse depressions after all those incidents. Eventually, I even became aggressive and started getting into fights and other illegal stuff.
I lost my hope in humanity and hated myself for living on this planet. I hated every single person around me, after some took the side of my exes.
It's especially unbelievable for some if it happens twice in a row.
And what I just said was only the tip of the iceberg. There's lots of stuff that I never told anyone.
Some of those scars and events are buried deep inside me.
Thank God I am now married to a wonderful woman who knows all of this and knows my true self.
The process of healing from all of this is not over yet, and I turn 30 this year.
*I hope that Depp will get all the strength and support he needs. And I hope he won't fall into a depression as deep as I did. I almost didn't come back...*

When Johnny and even his witnesses were on the stand they weren't staring down the jury. Amber is literally looking at all of them constantly giving them a sad puppy dog look. It's too much, it's too disingenuous. I too have experienced domestic violence, punching, choking, involuntary sex, and my story will not be choppy I remember it like it was yesterday. And it's been 8 years. And her little comments like, "funny now that I'm saying it" or "funny now what has happened " she's trying to say Johnny was abusing her from the start bc there's no video no photos not audio no proof of his side from the beginning bc she's been blasted of how she acted... God I hope he wins. The truth will prevail.
The 'expert doctor" did this too. she sat sideways facing the jury and never directed her answer to the lawyer who asked it.
Those types of comments you are referring to are known as “disclaimers” in psychological terminology. I mean, is she trying to disclaim herself? For example, she used a whole LOT of disclaimers like, “As stupid as that may seem now…” or “And I don’t know why I thought it would be a good idea to do___ with him, I thought, oh maybe THIS time…it was the first and last time…”.

This is my take on her testimony!! So peep this! Usually when a person cries their tear ducts produce tears and the nose becomes runny. Upon releasing the tears she supposedly displayed you did not see any water falling on her blouse today, nor did you see a runny, runny nose. She would pull out a tissue today on Thursday cry but not wipe her eyes with it! After she gave it some thought she would put the tissue to her nose. Not once on Wednesday did she use any Kleenex. She used her hands to wipe away supposedly tears. Pay attention to her body language how she remains on a topic for a extremely long time. The chick is lying!! If Johnny Depp is showing any signs of smirking it's because he is overwhelmed by her lies. He cracks a smile to maintain his composure. Also, if someone is dragging your behind all over the place, hitting you in the face, violating your body you will have more than a bruise on your arm or around your face. Listen carefully what she is saying. When she moved to LA some of her jobs was doing makeup this is why you are only seeing head shots of injuries. She applied makeup to make it appear as facial injuries from altercations with Johnny.

Having heard the tapes of her conversations long before the trial, I was convinced that AH was the abuser, but I wanted to hear her testimony with an open mind. It's difficult to believe her anything with her shifty eyes, exaggerated facial expressions, and her rapid mood changes, but that could just be her current baseline, i.e., her normal demeanour. While I believe that JD had to use some physical force to defend himself and may have have pushed her while having lost his temper, I think AH definitely overplayed her hand. She claimed to have figured out his "patterns" to the point of being able to predict when something bad was going to happen, yet was never able to record any of the alleged violence. She claimed to have been beaten by him in a way that would have left severe marks from the rings on his fingers. Yet, none of the witnesses (not even the witnesses not employed by JD) ever saw any injuries. She accused him of being "such a baby" because he avoids physical fights, yet none of his attempts to leave a fight made it into her testimony. Her account comes across as being too black and white to be true. It is very obviously an incomplete account, but because it is so implausible, given other independent testimony, it is almost certain that it is false. In addition to her over the top performance, she's inconsistent: She testified that she was not sure about the object she felt (during the alleged "bottle" incident) and that she figured it out based on a "bottle shape" picture she just had seen a couple of days before, although she had told the "bottle" story a long time ago already. She first testified that the she did not remember what JD said during the incident but minutes later, when asked, responds he told her he "will kill" her. She claims she "obviously" wanted to leave the island after incident while several witnesses testified how difficult it was for them to get her off the island. I also find her portrayal of being a blue-eyed, helpless, and traumatised victim to be completely over the top and wildly incongruent with her demeanour in her 2016 deposition where she came across as snarky, spoiled, and aggressive. She did not seem one bit traumatised back then. People can change over time, but this kind of personality change seems entirely implausible. In short, while there may be elements of truth to what she reports, she's putting on such a show that everything she says becomes suspect.
Succinct words. I like JD but if he ever committed abuse towards her or any other woman, I wouldn't like him anymore. I wanted to hear AH because I thought "hey, maybe Johnny made this up, after all". But. The twisting is being done by her lawyers, the rudeness from them too, the delaying of bringing evidence.
Also, her 2016 videos... I mean, what? So, she suddenly has PTSD. Ok, it could happen.
Heard the forensic witness and... Something sounded fishy. Ok, she's talking with so much authority as if she witnessed this - so it could be JD is lying, I thought.

What bothers me about her testimony is that when she speaks she looks directly at the jury trying so hard to convince them. Compared to Depp who was cool and collected while looking at the lawyers directly.

Trauma survivors cry when they’re talking about the assault, not when they’re giving background info about the circumstances. I’ve shared some of my experiences and heard others’ share theirs’, and the pattern is always the same. She is denigrating every true survivor of trauma with all this folderol, imo.

Really good point. It amplifies why Heard was abusive - she sees trauma in everyday life and strikes out in retaliation. For instance, the first day, she talked about how isolating it was to be with Depp at his various homes. Right after, she stated how cozy it was. At some point, she realized she had contradicted herself and tried to figure out how to account for both statements. But what was apparent is that she wanted to blame Depp for her own negative feelings. She clearly blamed him for everything under the sun. But that's typical of abusers.

The recording has her nurse, the doctor from the deposition, Amber screaming, Johnny screaming and Jerry Judge. Apparently they can’t use the video because other people are talking. An abusive mother who always scolded and hit her husband, my father. And he couldn’t leave for the sake of me and my siblings. It was a hard life growing up. I’ve tried to avoid being with people like my mother. And Johnnys story has taught me many more examples and lessons on what to avoid.
