All the leaves turned yellow and 99% of the stalk has suddenly turned yellow. The roots and brown/black and ive just noticed a couple tiny white pests. So its not looking promising. I presume ive over watered. Any advice before i have to get rid? X

I got an orchid about 3 years ago and suddenly got a brown scale infestation in the flowers that I removed. However, the leaves are very wrinkled plus I noticed the roots are very smelly and most of them are rotten. Should I completely change the soil and place it in a different pot?.

I have been watering her on warm water for 45-1hr for a long time she seemed happy but I think I am not letting her breathe as the roots don’t show. I did try something new 2 weeks ago for only one day a week. After I water her I put her where there was more light no direct. The temperature has gotten hotter and more humid and air conditioner is cold. I am in Florida. Wondered if I should repot her in a clear pot and use another medium So her roots get more air or maybe take some of the bark out? Thank tou❤❤❤❤❤❤
I have several orchids wit lots of healthy leaves but no flowers. It’s winter/spring time in Australia and the plants are in my living room with good light. How can I get them to flower?
Instead of soaking, you can plant them in leca pebbles and water just like normal houseplants. The water will go through the holes and the leca will absorb it from the plate. That shall be enough. It's how I do. I replanted most of my hoyas in leca
Thank you for this video, very helpful. I am regrowing two orchids and one of them started blooming one flower. But that orchid has a yellow leaf and brown spots. I don’t know if it means sunburn or pests. What should I do?
The trick to get them to flower is temperture. They need a cool down at night. Mine I keep about 75 during the day and then 65 at night. This will trick them into flowering.
Very normal! After a couple of months, the flowers fall and the stem may dry up (if so, cut it down to a part that is green, sometimes the whole stem dies, its normal) , wait around 6 months and a new stem will regrow along with new flowers. Keep in mind, if they fall way too soon, there may be other issues.

No ice cubes, please! It's such a crazy advice that people give about orchids. In their nature they never experience ice or snow or such low temperatures. Ice can only damage.

I just was given orchids on my birthday in September..i love them i just want to care for them..help they now have 2yellow leaves do i cut them off? 😢
