I just watched your video and enjoyed it so much. I love house plants so will look forward to seeing yours. Your stitching is so nice and I have some of the charts you showed myself. Look forward to seeing you again.
Thank you, I’m so glad you liked my video😊 I’m hoping to include more houseplant content so I’m happy to hear there are fellow cross stitch and house plant appreciators out there!
Thank you ☺️ haha more than happy to be a fellow enabler!! I feel like I’m discovering new cross stitch designers every day, have so many on my to do list now
Love your video and patterns my favourite one is the lion one I think it was from aJapanese artist. Also love you Humble opinion on surgery and sewing. Like your plants as well.
Thank you!! 😊 I like stitch alongs because it feels like less pressure to finish them when they are released in sections. But then I end up doing too many at once which defeats the purpose! They are fun though
I just found your utube channel today, loved listening to you. Your stitching is beautiful and yes you do have a lot of WIPs lol. I enjoy hearing about the house plants. I only have two because I usually kill them.
Welcome! Thanks so much, I’m glad you enjoyed the video 😊 my WIPs are only growing, might have to do a new video soon at this rate! I’ve killed a lot of houseplants too, it is mostly trial and error. I keep the ones that happen to survive 💚
Hi interesting to hear a bit about you. I am a knitter too, multicrafter really. I don't have any psychiatrist friends so that is interesting!Love your unicorn and I love that you are completely at ease with mistakes and choosing your own colours. I love t cos I am like that but it feels like not many people are. I have never done a Barbara Ana project but I am tempted. I try to keep the numbers of patterns low for lots of reasons All my hobbies are tempting. And I enjoy your plant segment. Now I am worried that I have confusing your episodes. I am watching them all in one go, in bed with COVID. Well. Have a lovely day. Catherine
Definitely try a Barbara Ana! If you’re more of a process stitcher you will enjoy it, there are small motifs so I find it gives more of a dopamine hit than having big blocks or colour.
I bought the moths and the dragonfly a while ago from the wishing thorn; they are gorgeous. I am waiting on the waterlilies. I do nora corbett/miras. I wanted to use wichelt linen but hated it. I washed it and it is perfect now. I would toss that kit fabric in the washer and air dry it. That's been magic for me. I now wash all stiff linen.
Oh the moth and dragonfly designs are so pretty! I love anything moth related so it is on my to do list. Ah I will have to try the air drying method , i would prefer to stitch on no starch and control the tension with the hoop. It just seems to take so much more effort pushing the needle through stiff linen haha.
Hi, another great video. I love all your projects and future plans 😍. It’s interesting we are the same exact age, born in Iran, love stitching and are in mental health field. I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor. Our difference; I can not keep a plant alive for the life of me 😂 And yes I think cats are celestial beings sent to earth to study us 😹
Oh wow that is a lot of coincidences! I wish we lived closer so we could be real life friends!! Interesting that you work in mental health too. I find it so rewarding. And the cross stitching appeals to my OCD traits 😂 Haha a lot of plant care is just trial and error. I’ve killed many plants , I just learned to keep buying the ones that manage to stay alive!
Hi, I just finished your video and omg I’m huge fun. I’m so happy to find your channel. I look forward to watch all the videos. Ps. Can we be best friends 🤣
I found you from Yasmin made with love. You probably already know this but owl forest embroidery have just started a house plant stitch along which sounds just your thing :)
Thank you so much for watching!! ♥️ Ooh I saw the owl forest post this morning on Instagram about the SAL and I’m sooo excited to start it. I am thinking of finding similar variegated floss locally instead of DMC, to keep the same colour palette of the original. Will keep you posted if I find any suitable substitution yarns!
You had my attention from the moment you said that women have possessed fine sewing skills (and therefore would be good at surgery) for centuries - love that! Your projects are all very interesting and fun. Is that Laurel Birch kit an actual licensed design? I would be interested in knowing where you got it. I’ve done some digging and her estate has not licensed very many of her designs to be turned into needlework, that I could find. Most of the designs on Etsy are unlicensed but I feel like there is a huge interest in her art.
I’m so glad you agree! Haha I told a male surgeon that once, he immediately became defensive and said surgery is more like a football match 😂 as for the laurel burch- it’s by “design works craft inc” and has laurel Burch copyright written on it so I assume that means they licensed the design? I got the kit from Etsy but if you search design works cat collage you should be able to find places that sell the kit
Oh yes! EVERYTHING needs more cats. Love cross-stitch, crochet and knitting, and cats. I used to work in a cattery (for 10 years). You can't do that job if you don't love cats. So nice to hear the Aussie accent online. I'm in Melbourne.
Oh that’s awesome! You must have a lot of insights into the feline mind working in a cattery haha. It’s so nice to meet another Aussie cat/ cross stitch hobbyist ☺️
Oh you are so lovely! Thank you so so much for this shoutout. This is from where I drew my inspiration for this sampler th-cam.com/video/KEpM2RPjskk/w-d-xo.html by Yucca (here channel is here th-cam.com/users/madeofyucca Mundane and Magic) PS there is a free chicken pattern in the pattern vault (needs email sign up though. ) PPS your stitching is wonderful and I love the threads you chose. Will look them up! Thank you ❤️
Thank you so much for watching!! I feel honoured! It’s such a joy to stitch your pattern. I’ve found the perfect charms to add to mine this week (tiny moons and acorns 🌝) . I’ll check out the Yucca videos too

Hallo! So glad you enjoyed watching . It’s nice to connect with stitchers around the world 🥰
@@craftyyams4960 Oh yes, so true. I still can’t decide, if I want to start a floss tube for that exact cause too, or not ☺️

I love Barbaraana. She has some free patterns if you look her up
She has some great free designs! Molly (the one with the blackbird) is on my to stitch list for sure
